Game of thrones is a web series. This is one of the best fight scene from game of thrones.
Owned by HBO
Imagine the adrenaline rush you get charging in knowing there’s a dragon flying behind you.
That’s an adrenaline high I’d love to have!!!
Imagine the amount of shit in your pants when it's flying towards you 🤣🤣
Not to mention how long they've been holding back that Dothraki fighting spirit. Those guys were on cloud 9
imagine the adrenaline rush of actually riding said dragon in battle.
and the instant smell of shit at the lannister lines when Drogon appears on the horizon. they must all have simultaniously shit their pants.
Great acting by Drogon here. I really believed the rage he was feeling when he let out that shriek and emerged from the clouds.
I heard he's an unprofessional d bag behind the scenes probably explains why he hasn't done anything else since game of thrones ended.
@@rocky5000100 all three of them are divas on set
@@aengusog3415 maybe Rhaegal being a diva meant his bs death was payback 🤣

You know Drogon has to announce his presence lol
Almost everyone remembers exactly how they felt the first time they watched this scene...GOOSEBUMPS!!!
Watching this scene for the nth time and still feeling the same
It took my breath away. It took a minute or two before I exhaled. Then I screamed and threw up my arms as if they’d just scored a touch down. This scene was amazing. No matter how many times I watch it, it never gets old.
I can remember what I felt when I hard Jaime saying "We can hold them off" and then Ahhhhhhhhhhhh and Drogon coming , then I was like ahhhhhhhhh
I know I enjoyed watching their smug faces once they seen drogon coming. It was then they knew they were fucked.
Fucking nuts man. If you didn’t see this on a big high def tv when it first premiered I feel sorry for you. Visually stunning beginning to enf
“Only a fool would meet the Dothraki in an open field.” - King Robert Baratheon
The pure adrenaline of knowing there’s a dragon with you must be insane
That quote is actually made by Ser Jorah Mormont in the book
If your the enemy then its a mix between adrenaline and fear
If not for drogon lannisters would have won ..or held the fight for a long time.. For gods sake these idiots aren't even wearing armour. And they don't even look terrifying to me after learning about real mongols.
A real horse normad army wouldn't charge like this. They would try to harrase the enemy with arrows and setting ambushes.
Jaime: Are you challenging me?
@@ericrenaud1733they were talking about the show?
This will forever be one of the best fighting scenes I've ever watched. Daenerys and Drogon's entrance to the battle field was just epic.
🙌😍👌
It wasn’t a battle tho. The Lannister army didn’t even get a chance to fight back. It was a slaughter and we all loved it.
@@Jonvocals It was boring
I thought it was lame. Drogon kinda just appears lmao.
Facts 💯
Can you imagine how terrifying this would've been for the soldiers? An army, which no man alive in westeros has ever fought, is charging towards you and then a creature, thought to be extinct for over 300 years, comes flying towards you from over the horizon.
A dragon hadn't been seen in over 200 years at this point
It would psychologically break ANY enemy. I'm surprised the men didn't run, they are brave
I honestly think that most of the men would have broken and ran away
Not to mention, watching your brothers in arms get turned to ash within seconds. I don't know what I'd do first, shit myself or run. Perhaps both at the same damn time
In real battle the dothraki never attack a wall of spears and shields the horses stop
Dany was such a boss. they kept trying to tame her but she went into battle with her troops as Targaryans always did.
Nah, they did tame her. Cuz she should have attacked kings landing like the other women told her to, but she trusted the wrong people. Got her killed in the end.
@@rickuhlick9523 what got her killed was going ape shit and burning everyone.
@@lordwellingtonthethird8486 nope. If she had killed them all before she had met John snow then no. Cuz then she would have gone up north with her dragons as well and obviously the Starks wouldn’t have bend the knee and she would have taken winterfell as well. She would still have all three dragons. Maybe the knight king would still have killed her in the future but it wouldn’t have been anyone who pretended to be her ally.
@@rickuhlick9523 The way Dany went out was the only way it could have happened. She was insane, and the only thing that kept her from being a psychopath at the end was Tyrions advice.
@@Adanu191no, the imp got her killed and gave her bad advice every time up until the very end. Danys desire to do good is why she foolishly hired all her former enemies.
“A Targaryen at the head of a Dothraki army!!”
Bow to your Queen, Robert.
king Robby foreshadowed it, Including Dany's tyranny
@@frereinyvraine6699she wasn’t tyrannical until like the last season…and even then it was so poorly done. Having her actually turn despite telling us she’s going to turn mad for 8 seasons is not very games of thronesy
Imagine how much more carnage if Rhaegal and Viserion had been there too. That would've been awesome.
jamie and bron would´ve died no doubt.
That would of been extinction for every Lannister soldiers lol. But it’s best to not let you enemies know the amount of dragons you have and including friendly fire
@@Kamekazi lol jaime already know, after this scene his said want to tell cersei bcos daenerys still have 2 dragon more
It was not strategically advantageous to use all 3 dragons if she could get the job done with 1. Firstly, Drogon was this effective because Daenerys was riding him. Riderless dragons aren't as well coordinated and would stick close to Drogon & Daenerys rather than attack along different angles, so not much strategic advantage gained. Secondly, after this battle Jaime had no idea where the other 2 dragons were. Daenerys couldn't say for sure what other houses/armies were loyal to the Lannisters and couldn't guarantee that there would be no counter attack. However, with 2 dragons in reserve that could be anywhere, I doubt anybody would have grown the pair needed to risk getting barbequed. These other 2 were 100% fresh because they were not used in battle, and could cause insane amounts of damage.
The Dothraki could’ve stayed home
Daemon would be so proud of Daenerys 😢
He would. She, like him, is the literal meaning of the words "Fire and Blood".
They are dragons.
He'd probably find her very annoying in the first few seasons, choosing restraint while ruling Mereen and initially during her invasion of Westeros. I'm not condemning Dany for this. It was commendable for her to risk compromise rather than immediately go with mass murder. But when she finally says screw it and rides with the Dothraki, Daemon would sure as hell be proud.
Such a shame Dany died during this battle when Jaime charged at her and the show ended there. Do not correct me.
00:44 I love the way that Dothraki warrior notices Drogon and thrusts his sword forward as Drogon roars. Epic.
Notices drogon? Just had his ear drum blown out
Notice what lmao
The "Oh fu*k" look of Jaimie Lannisters face when he heard Drogon will always be amazing for me. One of my favorite battle entrances ever. Drogon and his mother always give me goosebumps ❤️
😂😂😂😂😂
Sucks that they declared her mad for being perfect because writers lacked the intelligence...

I love the fact that Drogon is the only thing that isn’t real and doesn’t actually exist in this scene, but still manages to blend in seamlessly into live action. Great cgi. Great story. Great battle.
the scene when the Khals jumped on top of their horses was amazing
And it wasn't CGI either, they actually stood on them which is so hard to do. Incredible acting
they’re not khals. those are dany’s bloodriders. dany is khaleesi
Indeed, not Khals. They are Bloodriders. Daenerys is the Khal/Khaleesi.
From a horse archery standpoint it makes absolutely no sense though to climb on top of the horse. It's harder to stay balanced and you make yourself a much bigger target.
King Robert: Only a fool would meet the dothraki in an open field

@@iqbaliushasan I’ve seen many saying it’s she had unfair advantage because she had three dragons and a massive army but people seem to forget that dragons are nearly impossible to kill and she had two of the best armies in the world. Too bad it all went down hill cause of shitty writing.
I think it's because we hate the Lannister family, but know their soldiers are just normal people, facing off against a horde of murdering, raping barbarians. The Dothraki are arguably far worse than any of the Westerosi houses.
@@dillonmartin7411 Yeah Facebook when this episode aired was a shit show.
That first roar by Drogon, both Majestic and Terrifying
Prolly the best scene I have ever watched from any tv show or movie. So sad they ruined the last season 😪
They ruined the last 3 seasons with absolutely awful writing and dialogues. Season 8 was just the peak of that awful writing. Not to mention they rushed it a lot and could do much more after season 4. They could easily reach 10 full seasons with this show. These scenes with Drogon doing work could be so much more epic.
@@ragnarok283 season 6 was better than season 5. Season 5 had that horrible sand snakes plot
I agree. the dothraki hoping on their horses in sync to shoot arrows does something to me I swear. not only that, but that was a real shot, with real trick riders. mad respect for those guys.
My vote would go to the battle scene in "Hard Home" S5, Ep 8. But this was truly epic nonetheless
@@ragnarok283 Season 6 was so good. Season 7 and 8 looked nice, the scenes were cool but the writing was garbage and rushed.

I got the chills when the Dothraki jump to their knees while on horseback to draw their bows in unison. It’s a pretty badass scene.
So funny how little of a threat cersie treated them early on when in the small council meeting Varys was talking about how she took mereen and her dragons and she was just like “baby dragons” like you do know they won’t be babies forever😂
Cersei is a fool she probably thought the wildfire would be enough to kill them if the Scorpions didn't and they were usless all it did was piss Drogon off and he destroyed it with a whack of his tail
She was just a coward. Like all of the Linnisters. (Aside from Tyrion).
Tywin was right about her. She really wasn't as smart as she thought herself to be.
Still get chills with that entrance.
I still get chills when Drogon first appears, and Daenerys' "dracarys" here has a different feel to it too. Like she's been waiting for this all her life. (She literally had been.)
I think Khal Drogo would have been proud of his Khaleesi 👑

Drogon: No you f****ng CANT!!!
0:17 wow, thanks to this dothraki for documenting the battle while still charging towards the lannister army.
bro was vlogging
It's nuts that each Dothraki is essentially both a skilled foot soldier AND a member of the Calvary. They even shoot arrows from horseback. It's a 2-for-1 and why Robert was so worried about their eventual invasion
Drogon & Daenery’s relationship is EVERYTHING ❤
Jaime, who witnessed Aerys’ madness and dragon dreams and who slit his throat to ensure The Mad King would not rise again, lives to see his Kings exiled daughter return home on Balerion reincarnated. Treachery is never forgotten King Slayer, the dragon remembers.
You think killing the Mad King was wrong? Are you okay?
You need serious therapy. Or being isolated from society
Jaime was absolutely right to kill Aerys.
Why are targ fans so fucking weird ? Lmao your queen died because of a pointy knife
Jaime had to kill Aerys, even Rhaegar allegedly attempted to remove his father from the throne.
props to the lannisters for not running away the second drogon showed up
I do like how multiple times in the show we see how top tier the Lannister army is. They're no pushovers, despite their conniving leaders.
It's not like they had a choice it was die fighting or die running
Modern day "men" would have sh#t their pants and called the cops lol
@@karimmoorad9649No shit? It’s a fucking dragon? You’d just have to wait for the airforce to send a jet to kill it though.
@@natebox4550 hello modern man
One great thing the makers did was when archers loose their arrows, Drogon went side ways. Obviously those arrows won't do anything to Drogon, but Drogon thought of Danny. Shows the bonding between them.
But Drogon had to worry about the arrows. Against his scales they are useless, but the eyes are the weak points of every dragon. Meraxes died from a shot to the eyes, at the Dance one of the bigger ones (I think it was Vermithor, if I remember correctly) was finished this way and at the dragonpit possibly more died from attacks through their eyes. Attacks to the eyes and fighting other dragons, that's what got them killed.
You KNOW her ancestors were like: Go get em girl.
Daemon especially
and just to imagine before the dance of dragons the targerians had 17 dragons
They'll be showing this battle in house of the dragon! So excited for it!
Or imagine Old Valyria during the peak of their empire with hundreds, if not thousands of dragons flying
More than that. Those were 17 battles ready dragon, I believe. There were more, just not mentioned.
@@gam_anna8769 correct. There were plenty of adolescent dragons
Just imagine if they just had Balerion and Vaghar!
This battle still gives me shivers, such an amazing choreographic battle and one of my favorites of all during the show. I’m still pissed about how did my girl dany.
There was no other way her character could have gone tbh, considering jons claim and having no allies in westeros, how else would her story have ended up? Really sad tbh I always thought she would have stayed in Essos and restored valyria somehow
@@astr0cadethey could’ve taken the time to actually develop the madness throughout the seasons, instead of doing it in the last 2. But even then, Dany had only done what Aegon The Conqueror did (before the last 2 ep), set enemy armies ablaze, forgive those that bend the knee and well, set fire those that didn’t. Hell, Aegon I melted the whole of Harrenhall castle with Harren the Black, his army and his whole family and court inside, effectively erasing his bloodline (and many innocents). No one ever said he was mad. The writers simply had another show to do and wrapped GOT as quickly and clumsily as possible.

I would've accepted death as soon as I saw that dragon coming after me
Yeah yeah Drogon is great and all but the dothraki archers standing on their horses while firing arrows was so badass too
See this is why Torrhen Stark surrendered. People might say hes a coward but he chose his people over getting decimated and burned alive by Dragon Fire.
Always so satisfying to see drogon in action 😭😭
I just love how instead of burning literally the entire lannister army in 1 swoop. She decides to destroy the wagons instead. Very smart tactics. Wagons win wars.
Can't tell if you're making a legit point or a joke because wagons rhymes with dragons
I don't understand how the showrunners ever thought we'd believe Dany to be mad simply because of the power she wielded. I don't see her actions as someone who's power-drunk; she's doing the exact same thing as Aegon the Conqueror. Was he never considered mad for burning half of Westeros in order to get them to bend the knee? And don't even get me started on Dany burning Kings Landing, because that sh*t was so contrived.
Like, seriously. Scenes like this are great, because they show Dany as the literal embodiment of her ancestors-but they also make me sad, considering how it ends. It feels very "all-for-nothing." Such a waste.
How about killing Tarleys? In your world, it's OK to burn PoWs alive if they served the wrong king?
One of the best scenes in cinematic history for me.
“The Dragon eats the horse and sheep alike” lions too now I guess.
drogons roar gives me goosebumps every single time.
It’s both haunting and beautiful at the same time. Imagine hearing that in real life

Say what you will about the last few seasons of GOT but those dragons were amazing
One of the last, if not the last, great scenes of the show.
Doesn't matter how many times I watched this, it's always give me chills.
Drogon flying above the Dothraki has to be the most beautiful and most epic war scene ever filmed for tv. Or anywhere for that matter.
Doesnt matter how many times ive seen this it is still one of the most awesome battle seens of all times.
Imagine if she had decided to conquer essos the way aegon and his sisters conquered westeros. She already had a huge following and had changed multiple cities, she could have kept going and been ruler of essos, made a new iron throne with more value
This left me so hyped for the next season. What a shame.
This is probably the best scene from seasons 7 and 8 combined
0:54 never get tired of that rumbling noise right before a dragon breathes fire.
Who's here after Meleys vs. Vhagar?
Undoubtedly my favourite battle in GoT. However, the only thing I thought odd was that Drogon was targeting the supply line, rather than the troops; surely it would've made more sense to target the troops and save as many supplies as possible.
yeah i dont understand it either, but again, who understands the two writing gods known as D&D
And somehow none of the gold they stole from the tyrells was hit
I mean, you take the supplies away from your enemy, you take their resources and what keeps them alive just as much. Anybody who does get away is basically left with nothing. Ergo, they're basically dead men walking either way. And I don't think Daenerys' army was lacking in supplies.
Best fight scene in the show!! Then Jamie saying we can hold them off until he hears that dragon roar.
Forget the finale and everything, god nothing illustrates the Targaryen might like this scene
We waited 7 years for this scene and man was it worth it!
The look on their faces seeing a dragon for the first time is priceless
I repeated that part several times, the goosebumps that comes with it.....the dragon parts were my favorite.
The dothraki are amazing.. I don’t care they’re considered savages they stand by Daenerys always… they’re fighting scenes always amaze me.
I love rewatching this scene. She swoops in on a dragon like what are you even gonna do about it. Dracarys!!! ❤
I love that sound of the dragon before it spit fire 🔥
It still gives me chills
Omg! I just never get tired of watching the dragons in Game of Thrones and House of The Dragon make an entrance! As soon as they show up it's over and the reaction from those standing against them just conveys this! 😆
That krrrrr after the dracaris gives goosebumps no matter how many times you have watched it. 🤤

0:53 Should of listened to King Robert on killing that Targaryen girl😂
SHOULD OF? SHOULD OF? SHOULD HAVE*! FFS Should've.
Danaerys’s move to scorch the Lannister supply line was genius.
One of the best battle scenes in GoT, I used to mainly think about the negatives of the last seasons but now I’m appreciating all the amazing stuff more since HotD got me super excited again!🔥🔥🔥
Jaime “we can hold them off”
Drogon “what was that?”
😂
waited 7 seasons for this
If the dragons in Skyrim were this devastating everyone in Skyrim would be dead.
OMG THAT ROAR!! gives me goosebumps everytime!!
There's something about watching a Dothraki dualwielding Arakh swords is both absolutely terrifying yet hilariously entertaining at the same time 😂😂😂
The courage those troops had to stand their ground after seeing a dragon melt a section of the line is uncanny.
Just from a strategy point of view, if drogon had appeared from the flank, he could have wiped out the entire lannister army within 30 sec (given they were standing in a line). I mean come on.....
The Dothraki wanted the fight. That’s what they were there to do. If she did that they likely would have been restless.
Breaking their line guaranteed victory and guaranteed immense bloodshed.
True. But that wouldn't make for a very entertaining battle scene.
I'm so in love with this dragon.❤️❤️
“We can hold them..”
Daenerys appears with the equivalent of an A-10 warthog
I understand that Vhagar and the black dread were beast but Drogon... Drogon Has this presence
Meraxes was larger than Vhaghar but was still killed in Dorne
Jaimie - we can hold them off
Drogon - not today bro
i love the way the arrows just bounced right off of drogons chest
Sniff! Look at Drogon here all grown up and destroying armies and stuff!

We can hold them off.
Que dragon roar . I love it i get cold chills every time he comes out of the clouds .
“We can hold them off” *Drogon shows up** Drogon:”mmm yeah no sorry”
The only bad thing I have to say about this scene was when the supply caravan got destroyed. Like, why would you destroy that much supplies, you have an army to feed. Daenerys had just sent the unsullied to take a keep that was emptied. She has dragons, Dothraki, and the unsullied to feed. Keep the dang supplies not burn it
Do you really think there would have been much of a choice? Dragon fire can't really be contained and quarantined to just burn the humans. This way, Daenerys is also cutting of her enemies supply. Starving your enemy of the things they need is a tactic used in many wars. Cutting off their supply and leaving them with less, basically starving them. A weak army is a conquered one.
The advantage of using a Dragon with a rider is well shown here in the way Drogon is used by Dany. First thing he does is burn a hole in the Lannister’s defence line for the Dothraki to cruise straight through, meaning the spear fronts become far less effective and Lannister soldiers in the line now have to worry about Dothraki getting in behind them while they’ve got their spears pointed the other way because again, Drogon blew a big hole in their line. Jamie then realised that Drogon is a problem tactically because Dany is riding him and that he first needs to get her off of Drogon so he calls the archers to him to try and shoot her off his back. Those arrows were never going to damage Drogon and Jamie knew it, he was after Daenerys because he saw that she was using him tactically in a way Drogon on his own wouldn’t do. At least with Dany out of the picture, Jamie’s soldiers would have a fighting chance of dealing with the Dothraki while Drogon went on a berserk rampage if they had managed to shoot Dany off his back, he probably would have burnt Lannister and Dothraki alike in a fit of rage.
Wasn’t great strategy from Jamie but there was no good options. They were fcked no matter what. But Jamie figured if he could at least kill Daenerys, it would be worth the massacre they were taking. Hence why he tried to charge her while Drogon wasn’t looking. He knew full well that Drogon would kill him, but if he got to Dany he saw it as worth it.
Nah, she comes across as a moron. Why would she just w+m1 (fly forward and shoot), rather than fly and fire in parallel with the lannister line and inflict much greater damage. Instead she later shoots the wagons with gold and grain... Excellent choice to burn food and resources in a battle you are going to win so you can't claim them for yourself.
The idea behind killing her is probably more of an attempt at winning the war by creating a power vaccum. Will the dothraki continue the war with westeros with their leader dead? What will the unsullied do? Drogon might revenge kill the entirety of the lannister army but after that he would not have a rider and would likely just be a wild dragon. The dothraki + unsullied would have no chance at taking kings landing without a dragon.
You could argue she wanted to spare people by burning the wagons instead of the army, but I doubt the dotharki shared her views if that was the case, and she could just as well have just torched the ground to destroy morale. Because as it stands she burned both people and all the food.
To be fair it's the writers who are morons, especially after there was no source material to copy and they had to come up with original ideas.
How this video does not have over 100 million views by now is beyond me??? EPIC! ❤❤❤
The fact that the army held as long as it did when a dragon blow torches its way through your army like it did. That takes real guts.
This is my favourite scene in the entire series. Say what you want about seasons 7 and 8, but every moment that Drogon was on screen was absolutely spine chilling. These creatures are basically the medieval-fantasy version of what happens when 'one nation has all the nuclear weapons'. Absolutely devastating power. And seeing the expressions of confusion, terror, and then hopelessness on Jaime and Bronn's faces when they first hear Drogon in the clouds. I love this shit.
