- A town in Virginia has been nicknamed 'Trump Town' after the local church was transformed into a Donald Trump merchandise store.
Despite court cases and a host of controversies, the store owner insists his merchandise has never been more popular.
The megastore is located in Boones Mill, a town of less than 500 people in southwest Virginia.
Store owner Whitey Taylor says the store sold 2,000 t-shirts in the first week that Donald Trump’s mugshot was released.
Despite the town’s humble population, the outlet attracts bullish customers and has never been more popular.
Mr. Bumbles and his 81 million votes could never open a store like this because no one would come.

It's just not that important of a destination to me. I've been to the capitol building in D.C. once, but only because I wanted to see all of the major sites in D.C. on a trip I took to that city in 2018. I like when elected officials do good things and enact good laws, but not enough to go to a store all about them and buy tons of merch related to them. Nor would I do that for any other celebrities, including ones who are not politicians.

VERY COOL. Back in 2020, from I drive I took through several states heading back up to New York, there were some residential streets that had Trump flags, signs and banners on every house on both sides of the street. No Biden signs anywhere. It was a beautiful sight.

I took my time on the drive , avoided the freeways were I could and went exploring in different regions. Of course gas prices were cheap enough back then that I could do that. One station had gas for $1.45 a gallon ! I was telling people back in September of 2020 that after this trip I had never seen so much enthusiasm in my life to elect a president as I did for Trump.

Trump is such a hypocrit. Back in 2016 when he was only a Republican presidential candidate, David Letterman had him on his show, and asked him where his merchandise was made. He had no idea off the top if his head. Unsuprisingly it was all made in China, despite how much he had already by that point said during his campaign that he would support the production of stuff made in America if he became president. Meanwhile Biden, our current president, has nearly all of his campaign merch actually made in America.
He has also required by executive order, all projects given funds through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act that he signed into law in 2021 use only parts made in America.

Virginia flipped red 2020, with Youngkins veto power the houses may as well be deadlocked.
The rural areas are very red in Virginia, but like most of the rest of the country, rural areas tend to be red, while the much higher population urban areas and direct suburbs tend to be very blue. Due to them having a higher populatuon than most states rural areas combined populations, they cause a majority of votes to go to Democrat candidates.
My husband and I stopped at this store a couple of years ago. Love it!
