I’ve had 3 scoliosis surgeries and was told I might never walk again. I ended up being a cheerleader and dancer and was voted most popular in school. Don’t let it depress you. People who go through a lot in life always end up better because of it. Even if they don’t realize this at the time. They’re usually more empathetic, kinder, deeper, etc. You can also use what you’ve been through to get out of Jury Duty for life. Just say it hurts way too much to sit for so long. Which for me it really does. If we have to go through this, we might as well get good things out of it! 😉

@@abrahamafram3378 - thanks for your interest 🤗. I’ve had two corrective scoliosis surgeries and will have a third. The first one corrected my 48 degree curve (50 degrees is severe) down to 25 degrees. My second surgery which I just had 4 weeks ago straightened my curve even more. My surgeon rebroke my mass bone fusion from the first surgery for further correction. Not sure what degree I am now. I woke up from my first surgery two inches taller and grew one inch with this most recent surgery. Growth usually happens gradually so it’s weird that the bathroom sink suddenly feels lower. Do you have scoliosis? It’s more common in women.
@@Holly-Berry No, I do not have it, praise be to God, but the daughter of my mother's friend suffers from it and the reason is because her mother had an x-ray and did not know that she was pregnant. This affected the pregnancy and caused her scoliosis and now they are residing in Sweden
I became a chronic pain patient after my first scolioses surgery. My pain got wayyy worse. After 5 years of recovering, 3 surgeries, literally all the possible scans and meds, and seeing all the doctors l possibly could, turned out l had surgery in the wrong time. I was facing a lot of issues at that time that caused me to get into survival mode, l lost the connection with my body. Which caused that my brain couldn’t take the pain it caused. My brain was like, shooked. So after it kept sending heavy pain signals to my back. The pain you’d feel around 3 months after the surgery, stayed. It wouldn’t get better. Now I’d like to reassure that my case is absolutely not average. But l would like to let you know that if you are in survival mode, if you have crises going on in your life, don’t be like me immediately saying yes l want this big surgery as soon as possible. If it’s possible to wait until you’re waters are more safe and steady, consider it.

Hi
I had my surgery freshman year in high school
I’m 28 now and I’ve had my implants longer then I’ve had a body without them
I felt this way for so long and if you disagree with what I say I understand every situation is different but honestly I felt pain for so long I thought it was the surgery and and something had gone wrong or the scoliosis was worsening but after doctor visit and X-ray and mri’s i came to this conclusion
Scoliosis post surgery pain is practically like depression
You have to fight it’s control on you every day
It’s there when you wake up
When you go to sleep
Every moment it’s there grinding you down
And it has to be fought in the same way you’d fight depression or anxiety
You can’t let it beat you and you have to push on with it
And eventually
As unbelievable as it sounds
It gets tolerable
It will never go away
Everyone who looks at these videos who’s had the surgery i here to understand there not alone
The pain and feeling of this railroad track attached to are spines won’t go away
But if we keep up our exercise and do what we can to stay positive
We can beat this
Not cure
But overcome
I will never be free of it but I will not be controlled
I know your post was a long time ago but I help
And I’m open to further discussion of this
What do the doctors say?
