Watching the soloist sob gets me every time. A show that meaningful is so heart wrenching, and knowing all the work that must've gone into it makes it even more meaningful.
@@T355asany last performance of a season is heartbreaking. people that you connected with during that season could be graduating/aging out, your team will never be the same every year. spinning with your teammates is one of the greatest gifts, but during that last performance it finally hits.
That's some legit rifle work!! As a former WGI participant (northglenn) I know these kids will forget some of this but they will always carry the challenge and discipline. Long live the sport of the arts!!
Miss being in colorguard so much. Being at the same competitions with Mechanicsburg High was always an amazing experience. This show left an impression on me that makes me want to watch it over again even 8 years later.

They did really good, but they also didn't catch some tosses right, and coaches and judges are really strict about this. I know this firsthand because I do this, just not competitions anymore. But since guard members know how it works, they point out every flaw they notice

Something so rare and beautiful happens at 1:55 into this show. They nail that ensemble rifle 6 with perfect technique and they let go and they TAKE OFF into an emotional and beautiful performance. One of my favorite shows of all time. They LIVED in this show.

I believe that their director quit and a bunch of the girls left. They are still around today they just don’t compete in world class anymore

They did get a new director. There's a video of them competing at KIDA (their local circuit) championships out there though.
