Reasons for Hunter u stated are TRUE. Of all people who asked me why i didnt go for Hunter, they can never provide the justification for it. Same "RE, RE hai bhai", and few other. Nothing more.
Overall my personal experience i purchased ronin 1.7 years ago and now completed 21000 km and it's an amazing journey continuing and the initial of ronin is fire.

I preferred Ronin over Hunter due to following reasons * The Sitting geometry/ ergonomics is upright with forward set riders footpegs which offers fatigue free ride both for pillion and rider. * The Glide Through Tech ( GTT) enables riding Ronin's 225 cc engine at higher gears over lower speeds which is very convenient in congested traffic requiring lesser gear changes . * Extremely light slip & assist clutch action and very smooth gear changes *Very comfortable suspensions with gold colored front Inverted forks. * Lower weight and flatter seat & lower seat height. * Very good exhaust note and 180 mm ground clearance * All led illuminations *Ronin's 225 cc Engine offers mileage of around 50 KM / liter . Ronin has better value for money proposition, better riding dynamics and quality from the stable of TVS . At my 61 years of age , 5.6 inch height and 72 kg weight and my riding experience of over 47 years I still feel that my purchase of Ronin matches to all my requirements of comfort, mileage , speed ( within 80kmph) perfectly .

Riding is more comfortable in Ronin than any other bikes , only demerit is lights issue and chain issue but still I'm planning to buy it after taking all test rides of RE ,Honda350, Harley440,Hero, Triumph best value for money is TVS Ronin
I own a Hunter. And I agree to all the points you've said about the bike. I've changed the suspension at the rear with an older generation classic 350 nitrox shocks. It's very comfortable now. As good as it to ride in the city, it's simply horrible in highway cruise. The engine is simply not made for highway. I wonder how classic and bullet appeal so much to long distance riders, except thier comfort?

There is rear stiffen which makes me so tired after coming from 50km away from Highway and city road. Your Experience throughout the hunter is 100% Genuine. Test ridden both these bikes and I went for ronin se because of the following reasons: 1. Hunter is heavy (20kg more than ronin) 2. Siting posture in ronin is more comfy than Hunter. 3. Rear suspensions (felt the difference in the first test ride itself) 4. Gold USDs in Ronin. (looks dapper) 5. Road presence of Ronin (i dont know about others but people do look when I take mine for a spin) 6. Ground clearance of Hunter (it would kiss the asphalt of each speedbreaker in my area) Also, I was told by a mechanic of RE at the showroom that hunter's engine is having some heating issues. I didn't believe his words though. 😅 P.S. Both these bikes have promise. Ronin is not a perfect bike by any means. Today only I rode around 120 kms and my butt was hurting... So, you can get the idea.

I’m from Shillong and I own TVS Ronin. I feel that the TVS service centre in Shillong should improve. As I already had a bad experience with the service centre here, therefore I always go to TVS Beltola for my bike service as they provide better service and the staff are also very polite and friendly.
Royal Enfield service reputation has gone all downhill since their sales numbers started to rise a few years back. TVS is no masterpiece. Moral of the story. Buy either just make sure you have a good mechanic in touch😂

Sir, u have posted a very useful/practical video. U have very tightly pointedout that , hunter is better at lower speed and gives a boost, but i think the actual matter lies somewhere else...... U have to spend atleast 10000 extra for minimum required accessories, then comes its service cost . Hunter is the cheapest bike from re stable which translated in its quality. Its a kind of shakey in nature, it will certainly give u a experience of tapped noise which in terms of service centre..... Will remain ...... Fuel guage problem, chain spoket problem , chain problem etc. The engine sound that u get at the beginning will not remain after 1 yr , though I did not own it but those who have purchased it around me experience the same, at one time it will be a regular relationship between service centre and the owner. Sir, what is your opinion in this regard.
There is a huge flaw in new J series engines of Royal Enfield motorcycles. First 10k-15k kilometres seems fine but after 15k central main bearing of the J series engine which is connected to crank shaft gives up. The crank is heavy but the bearing holding it is of poor quality causing wired crank noise. Even the UCE model engine main bearing has heavier and higher quality. I have Classic 350 reborn and covered 30k kilometres and serviced my bike on time. I have well-maintained my bike but unfortunately after 16k I had to change the main bearing. The same issue is faced by my two known person, one having meteor.
Offcourse, I would prefer Ronin, but TVS service centers are mostly have persons with bad attitude. Also, TVS parts are sometimes, difficult to purchase.
Ronin is far far far better than hunter interms of comfort, city ride, highway ride, night visibility, ride quality etc.. looks is also modern and good enough to make it different.
haha 2 saal baad❤❤waise after owning hunter for 2 yrs and 25000 kms without any issue!! not even chain change or tyre change i can say it is one of the best for city rides and you can ride till 80kmph without straining though it can happily cruise at 110 kmph all day too wothout too much vibrqtions in pegs and handle too , just one thing if you cannot handle this heavy bike then go for ronin, also the rear suspension of hunter should be stiffened to 3-4 points to maximise its performance else it will feel hard at the softest setting which is ironical , maine abhi ek 25000 kms ka experience upload kiya hai aur han maine seat ka cushion aur rear spring ka stiffness dono badhaya hai❤
Ronin seems far superior product. Hunter is for those young guys who want to experience RE bike at cheaper prices. Hunter stands odd-man-out in RE bike bandwagon and really not for serious bike riders.
You should have talked about engine types - RE 350cc is Long Stroke engine whereas TVS is Square Engine ie. Balanced torque and power which results in better economy and practicality. Biggest selling point of Ronin is Fuel Mileage. People have reported 50-55 KMPL on highway rides. Biggest downer is TVS Service center, they still have mentality of mopeds and street bikes and have no interest in servicing premium bikes. Hunter biggest selling point is resell value and its a weakest link for TVS Ronin.
I have a Bullet....but I enjoy riding Hunter of one of my friend specially the sitting posture and Handlebars. And Hunter is not only for 40 kmph. It is even better at 80 kmph.

Both are amazing bikes. You can't go wrong with either, the term "single bike garages" doesn't suit or matter to our population in India. It's a western thing. most people have only one 100-125cc motorcycle in their garage. Does it mean that we point fingers at them at their "questionable" decisions. When choosing a bike, the only thing that should ever matter is how that bike makes you feel.
Have nothing against the Ronin, but the hunter's low end torque is something else, the pull from 2nd gear is bonkers n within a split second u t touching 80 90. N the exhaust note is almost screaming when u open up the throttle. GC n mileage sucks btw
Bulu bhai you are not alone.Hunter is beautifully designed compared to Ronin. The only reason Ronin sales figure is low cause of its looks. RE has good designers.

Ronin is a much much better bike... In looks also Ronin feels much better in person, although looks are subjective.. Moreover if you want to ride in city than there is no competition, Ronin accelerates much better.
Enfield got competition in the market, that has probably forced their attitude change. 5 years back Enfield was the ruling eith no competition in the retro section. Now .. triumph, harley, honda, jawa all have too good motorcycles
I like TVS Ronin but it's too ugly. Specially that head light. I really want more manufacturers to launch neo retro bikes around 200cc because that's the Sweet spot for everyday person.

Bhai mai toh le liya cb350rs. Ronin was vibrating like hell and never been a fan of RE because of their issues. CB 350 rs leke bhai 2 month hogaya chill gaadi hai bhai. Acceleration like sports bike and feel like retro🎉🎉❤

I've Ronin and in 1 year, I rode 34k kms. In my last trip, I rode around India for 45 days doing 9.3k kms solo and it gave me no problem.

Ronin sounds very nice after 4k rpm at 5th gear. I really enjoy its rythm.
Ronin is good bike, i am using it almost two years no issue and mileage 44 per kilometre

But I will go For RE Goan Classic 350...a very beautiful and classic bike...for city ride.
I would prefer to buy the Logic over the Emotion... Ronin is the most practical bike in the segment.. and mileage is also better than Hunter.

Done 1500km long ride on Hunter but suspension needs an update for sure and fully led setup also
My friend bought Ronin this Diwali, it's very comfortable in comparison my 2004v is super stiff but my bike pulls harder (bs4).

I choose Touring 200 4v E20 over these two bikes as it has better suspension, kick starter, light weight and better mileage.

Have nothing against the Ronin, but the hunter's low end torque is something else, the pull from 2nd gear is bonkers n within a split second u t touching 80 90. N the exhaust note is almost screaming when u open up the throttle. GC n mileage sucks btw

Bulu bhai you are not alone.Hunter is beautifully designed compared to Ronin. The only reason Ronin sales figure is low cause of its looks. RE has good designers.

Moreover if you want to ride in city than there is no competition, Ronin accelerates much better.

10 din pahle hi hunter li hai. Kya baat hai. Just wow looks and RE ka brand. Aur long drive pe bhi 80-90 is good. Yes suspension is not that good.
Enfield got competition in the market, that has probably forced their attitude change. 5 years back Enfield was the ruling eith no competition in the retro section. Now .. triumph, harley, honda, jawa all have too good motorcycles
I like TVS Ronin but it's too ugly. Specially that head light. I really want more manufacturers to launch neo retro bikes around 200cc because that's the Sweet spot for everyday person.

Bhai mai toh le liya cb350rs. Ronin was vibrating like hell and never been a fan of RE because of their issues. CB 350 rs leke bhai 2 month hogaya chill gaadi hai bhai. Acceleration like sports bike and feel like retro🎉🎉❤
