Hey Buckin! Much love from Langley, BC. Was subscribed back in the days of you and vik working on his old competition axe:). Hope you’re doing well take care
I love seeing that four speed manual shifter, my grandfather had a 1972 F-250. Manual transfer case shifter and manual hubs, old school and simple. I like it.
Had a 68 F100, still have a 73 F250 Highboy w/428. They are nice, that one looks great. Love the body style of the old bumpside, mostly the hood and grill. These Highboys are getting hard to find, glad to see other restoring theirs.
Very Nice Truck, old school, Ford F-250, my uncle grandpa had a new 1968 360 cid 4 speed, I just a little kid when he had this. After had a new 1972 F-100 240 cid 4 speed, in this truck a learned to drive in 1977, when I was 11. and now in this video when I see the interior and the gear lever I remember again. Congratulations Great Work..
That is one bad ass sweet truck. In 1989, I turned 16 that year, my first vehicle was a 1970 F-250 regular cab long bed 4X2 Sport Custom. To this day, I still kinda miss it. :(
Yessir. I had a '71 and a '71 back in the 'early '80's. I missed them for a long time and knew I'd get back into them. I've probably have 50 since. Very cool trucks. And easy to work on.
This is an absolute beast of a truck, there’s not a new Ford truck made that I’d rather have than this. That says a lot since I like the new Fords pretty good.
Dad bought one just like this in 1972 with a snow plow and AM - FM Radio. Sold it in 1985. Had a chance to buy it back and I wasn't fast enough. Red with black interior
Well he’s got a 69 Grill in that one.. fact.. and that’s really the only difference.. no Really he’s got the wrong grill in that .. look it up if you think I’m lying.. cause that truck looks like a 69 ... ( because of the grill) again that’s all that changed
I grew up watching marc build old Fords on my very first facebook as a kid. I still have a facebook. Just not that same account. And beleive it or not I still have the same old Ford I did then lol. Marcs an incredible builder. I'd love to remember what group it is to join to continue following him and his builds in fb.
Absolutely beautiful truck... very well done!! As a former '67 bumpside owner, I know how hard it is to source parts and find a truck solid enough to rescue. I'm very envious of what you have here!!
I just bought 71 f250 high boy it's in excellent shape always barn kept only one rust spot inside cab pass side air vent ( mice) the frame is clean they put disc brakes all the way around it, with a 400 modified that runs great all the sheet metal is straight. It could be a daily driver as it sits, but I'm thinking a restoration and I'll never buy another truck again!, it also has factory power steering from a later truck. I am going to check out auto crafters!. You did an excellent job on this truck!, Award Winning!.I loved the plaid on the seat and the doors!, Awesome!. Have a good day!.
That’s one thing I always thought about my 77 highboy, that the doors always sounded so hollow and tinny, so I took off the interior door panel, and I cut a piece of that thick felt sound deadening material or whatever you call it, and I put it against the outside door skin and taped it down all the way around the edges with that aluminum tape, and you would not believe how nice it sounded when you closed the doors. I couldn’t believe the difference! It was sweet!
Love the color combination! My first truck was a '73 F100 Ranger XLT 390 with the C6 Auto Black over Dark Wine. I think it's time to pick up another one!
No frills no bullshit four-wheel-drive Ford pick up truck. No electronic four-wheel-drive system. No backup cameras no LED fucking lights. No bullshit included on this truck. Bad ass.
I owned a 1969 F250 4x4 highboy. Swapped the 240/6 out for a 1966 289cid V8. A match made in heaven. I dearly loved that truck. Still miss it these 20 years later.
