  • Do you ever feel stuck when it comes time to actually put your goals into motion? Planning and prepping can be fun for many of us, but then comes the hardest part - doing. This week, I share how I crush the DO stage of the goals process. It’s my favorite tip for putting action behind your plans or words. Don't let your goals sit on the shelf. It is time to DO.

ATG 112: DOING = “This 1 action separates goal finishers from goal starters!”
    For your goals
February is a great to be curious about your goals.
    Curiosity leads to commitment.
First question when it comes to doing
What actions will make accomplishing that goal easy? We want to make our goals … so easy to accomplish.
What decisions do you need to make today to make it easier for Tomorrow You?
    Short-term Me
Acuff says: “Short-term Me would rather scroll Instagram than read a book. Short-term Me would rather watch Netflix than read a book.” So what decisions can we make today to aid our future selves?
Some steps for achieving a goal
A lot of this episode is Acuff talking through how to achieve his goal of reading 66 books in 2023. These are very hit or miss.
    Ones I like:
    • Set a minimum standard prior to do something else-like read 4 pages before X. Read 4 pages before watching TV.
    • Track progress.
Takeaway Thought: DO is all about Consistent Motion
The more paths to make progress on your goal the better. You need to have numerous actions to make progress on your goal.
If you only have 30 minutes, what is an action to make progress on your goal?
If you’re not at home and in a shitty hotel room, what is an action to make progress on your goal? If you’re on the subway, what is an action to make progress on your goal?
Thinking of Actions in Terms of Energy: High, Medium, Low
    /No
In thinking about actions that to make progress on a goal, think about some that require high energy, some that require medium energy, some that require low/no energy.
 How do you make progress on your goals, even when you have low energy or no energy? How do you make progress on your goals, even when your usual routines are disrupted?
    Move Your Goal Forward
The Do Stage is all about moving your goal forward today. What can you today-and tomorrow-to make progress.
