In regards to the triggers and safety selector, the "S" marking notates they were made by Schmid Tool. It is my understanding, on some of the parts in the newer production firearms, the Colt markings notate they were made specifically for Colt, to their specs since more parts are now being subcontracted after losing the military contract to FN.

I wouldnt gp simply by markings. I know several big name manufacturers that have subcontractors, but the part's have to be made identical with markings. People would be suprised who makes what in this industry

Colt has always used sub subcontracted parts, in fact Colt has only made 18 of the 100 to 150 parts that go into their M-16/M-4/AR-15 rifles in their entire history. Colt's quality has remained the same and every part is inspected and checked in their lab to verify the parts meet TDP spec, other than semi auto parts which are never mil spec..

I purchased a Colt upper for my POF lower and found that the front take-down pin wasn’t working properly….. is there another manufacturer that makes a lower that mates up to that colt upper at the front take-down pin the way it should (without that adapter bushing, that is?)

I am sorry to hear yours it out of spec. I always try to keep the receivers the same brand. Like Colt/Colt

Good morning, Jason, I really do like the more "traditional' style of the AR platform. Cheers

The notch on the hammer is designed to work with a BCG with an unshrouded firing pin. It catches the firing pin should the disconnector fail.

@@thetexasgunvault the cr prefix Is the only reader I got my colt lowers in California lol the box said le but receiver said cr so I was able to convince the owner of shop that’s what It was so worked out good for me I personally like the roll marks better but unfortunately I got to be creative and take what I can get

I have an older S&W mp15 from the 2010 timeframe and it seems to be of a higher quality to the newer sport 2s

    drop-in trigger(hipperfire PDI) is compatible for CR6920?

It should be. These are mil-spec so most will work.

Trigger group isn't Colt, colt triggers have a notch cut into the trigger itself by Schmitt tooling,

It is my understanding they sourced from other places for awhile to keep up with demand.

The one positive thing on new colt lower is at least they have selector stops

This video tells me I should avoid the new Colt ARs, because QC is compromised for profits.

Colt is the same quality as always. Different markings are just that. They outsource parts are tested to meet the requirements and TDP. Actually BCM AND Colt use Microbest BCGs and are tested exactly the same way. They are the same parts, different markings. Colt and FN both have used outsourced parts for a very long time. Markings or not. They are not cutting corners. CR….. Stands for COLT Rifle…CR makes a lot of sense right? 🤷‍♂️

@@thetexasgunvaultno problem. It’s just something I learned while watching these videos. A lot of misinformation about Colt? They have always outsourced 🤷‍♂️ I see people saying “Buy BCM, they are superior to Colt in every way possible now.”😂 the laugh is because I found out that BCM uses the EXACT same parts. Microbest. They are both tested to the exact same standards. Only difference is markings 🤷‍♂️😂 I know we can only say what we know. I don’t bash companies without knowing things like this. Because those commenters look like fools when an expert shows up to put the truth up. BTW, I am NOT an expert. I love my Colt LE6920 FDE Magpul SL edition. 2018 version. Has the old LE roll marks but a CR serial number prefix. And cage code instead of C. I saw it being bashed and someone saying it wasn’t a Colt and lesser quality because they changed the markings?🤷‍♂️ I investigated to make sure. He was wrong. It’s just markings and your Colt is still the same quality and is still a Colt. I understand that collectors want certain things. But I just wanted a Colt rifle and got a Colt rifle. Now I get picky on my AK collecting so I understand that. Love those 2 Colts you have!!! Enjoy them man!!!😎✌🏼
