I created a crazy Abstract design for my very first project ever. Now I'm trying to figure out what to fill all the areas with, learning the stitches as I go. I've never been the type to start simple. This video was great. I can use all of these for the areas in my piece. Thanks. I just hit Subscribe.
Yesss! A video about filler stitches that isn't about the same few stitches all the other video's show! I've been looking for an inspirational video like this one for months now! Thank you!!! 👍🏻🙏🏻
Thank you! What a practical and incredibly helpful video. I loved how you left the stitch names up till the stitches were completed. I also thought that was a very good idea to use the different colors for comparison and contrast. I love all your videos but this one i well be playing over many times as a reference☺
I was looking for filler stitches that didn’t have too much in-and-out with the background, and this taught me several! Thank you so much for introducing me to these new stitches.
Thank you! I have just started embroidering again after first learning the bear basics 40 years ago! I created a small design for a gift for my sister and I love this example of stitches that I can use to fill the background in the artwork I made.
Thanks! In these days of energy crisis, inflation, and what not - this is most useful! I have quite a few pieces of nice and practical clothes, but they have unfortunate logos that I can't remove. I can, however, cover them! And you just taught me how to make some really cool and personalised items out of those! Yeah! 😄 🎉 Lots of love from Denmark 🤗
This is a great tutorial! I’ve been wanting to learn more about filling stitches and there are quite a few on here that I did not know. Thank you for sharing your art and talent.
This is lovely. As a person who does no kind of sewing but finds it fascinating, what do you do with the finished product? Is it just to mount in a frame or shadow-box? Sorry if this is a weird or silly question!
Not the OP but I embroider lots of things, some things for display, some on clothing. You can also cover stains or damage, or reinforce the fabric. You will have to take into account which stitches you use for what item. Not all stitches will work on practical items like clothing.
Thank you for this. I have lupus and my hands are starting to fail me, so, I've started to learn embroidery! My the hope is that if I keep muscle memory, my hands will last longer.
Thank you for such clear images and demonstrations - and for keeping voiceover to a minimum! I’ll check on your channel, but wonder if you’ve produced a tutorial for various ways of adding new lengths of thread when you’re part of the was through a pattern or chain? I vaguely recall my mother showing me how to join a new length on by overlapping the two ends and rolling them together until the fibres merged.
OMGoodness! I just checked out your channel and you have such wonderful examples of a lot of the crafts that I like. I was given a complete set of quilling materials a couple of years ago and have not used it yet. I’m inspired by your videos to get on it. I also enjoyed silk ribbon embroidery, so I hope I will be spending a lot of time on your website. I have subscribed❣️
Sorry but your editing is not helping. U you oh seem to be cutting the video off at every stitch instead of filming the whole stitch and then a sequence of them. Can’t follow at all
I have gone through thousands of embroidery videos but I always go back to this one, its absolutely perfect and everytime I need ideas for filling stitches I replay it for inspo. it s the best tutorial out there! thank you for posting it and sharing your skills with us
Very nice. The corded detached blanket stitch will use a lot of thread. How do you start a new thread when your thread gets too short. I'd love to try these techniques. Thank you for sharing.
Watchimg your videos regularly mam...so creative...my passion is hand works...please tell me where and how have you attached the frame ?....i usually hold it in one hand ...so it is hard to work....please explain
I knit and crochet but I truly admire people who can embroider. I honestly don't think I'd have the patience at 70. It's a great video though. Thank you for sharing. 😊

I am not swift and am so happy to see someone slowly and carefully executing the stitch over and over - that's very helpful. You are brilliant.
Glad it was helpful!
I can't even express how useful and helpful this was. Straight to the point, easy to follow, and a great way of showing all the methods!
Thanks a lot dear...❣️
I love the color gradations and the textures your sampler creates. The stitches are lovely.
I really enjoyed the variety of stitches! I've seen some of them, but not as fillers, or not explained as well. Thank you!

Thank you so much for sharing your skills. Can I ask what type and size of needles you use please? Particularly for 6 strands or thicker cotton?
Tapestry 22, and 5 strands of floss.

Why did you take thread out for the chain stitch?
Wow - Another knock-out video. You teach in such a clear way and are so creative. Thanks!

I love that your work is slow enough that I can really see what you're doing. Some videos are too fast.
Молодец, умничка, браво!!!

Interesting but it would have been way more helpful if you actually explained what you were doing. As a beginner this wasn’t much help.
Perhaps embroidery isn't for you? I have NEVER seen anyone demonstrate it clearer than this. They can't do it for you!
Просто запутывание ниток какое-то. То ли сами техники такие невзрачные, то ли исполнение. Никакого объяснения, только музыка. Результат посредственный.
Muito obrigada por nos trazer belos pontos tão bem explicados!!!!❤⚘
As a left-handed person I found this very easy to follow.
Glad it helps you
