I save up the money for a year and then I buy one "expensive" set or two or three cheaper ones. That way spending that much money doesn't feel as bad, at least for me. Like last year i bought this NES set and this year i'll buy the Horizon set, the Optimus Prime set and maybe a third one if something interesting comes along.

That’s odd that the tv doesn’t attach to the stand-it’s rare that Lego would leave a piece (especially a unit that big) loose and free like that.
I looked at the video to see the tv stand built, just finished and looked at the directions for the stand three times, but it was right.
For real, I have the same issue. And if you try to move the thing, or rotate the crank, it falls off of the stand. Such an easy thing to fix from the designers standpoint.
My happiness is immeasurable and my day has been made by this
This is a very cool set and is definitely worthy of a collectionist! I really enjoy the smoothness of the speed build it is very satisfying. Also, the music really does go appropriately to the set as the synthesizers so remind me of some Nintendo games, it is definitely a good personal touch! I hope to one day reach the quality of content with which you provide to this wonderful Lego community!

There's actually more pieces in the TV than in the console. You're done with the console after bag 7 (bag 8 is the controller). The TV set is bags 9-21.

If any Lego expert reads this: I always wondered what motivate the choice of some bricks instead of others? For example, using two 1x2 instead of one 1x4? IMO, the use of a single bick would make a "stronger" build. I'm sure this is not a random choice, but what makes it so? Is it cheaper to produce 8 same bricks instead of 4 of one type and 4 of another type?
I imagine it has to do with price, yeah. Plus, this is mainly a display model, not something a child would be expected to vigorously play with, even if it does have a few functions, so strength isn't as much of a concern as it would be for, say, a Ninjago set.

4:55 - you made a slight error. In the world 1-2 easter egg above the studs representing Matio theres ment to be a orange 1x1 flat connected to a black 'pan' pushed into the 1x2 + piece.

The tiles Mario runs on are slightly jutted out and he cant fall into the other grooves and he just slides on them basically so moves with the TV
I didn’t know how to do the inside of the tv part it was not balancing right until my dad and big brother helped me for about 15 minutes and they got that done and then I did the rest and I love these videos thanks so much
