For me, it was the 90 days for marketing to start working. I often thrown cash at an idea for marketing and get 0 results and move on before 90 days.

I think you're 100% right on all this. I think though why people try and be the jack of all trades is they don't want to turn down work. I'm remodeling my parents house now top to bottom and you know you're doing plumbing, electric, floors, paint and everything you can imagine. Lol. If you're good as a handyman I think you'll always be busy. I don't know how you manage jobs in California when your daily limit is $500? Right? I figure you have to break it up if jobs cost more than that

Hey thanks for your comment! Keep up the great work! In California the limit is $500 per project, not per day. Where are you located?

I’m getting burned out on the techy and social media stuff. Going to hire someone to promote and maintain that. Cant do the work, run the business and do all the social media stuff myself.😂😮

I'm kinda surprised you offer "deals" when you also speak a lot about finding your ideal client...upper middle-class young professionals for most of us. My ideal client isn't someone who looks for deals. One who looks for deals in theory is not someone who values you as a professional. They are similar to tire kickers. Your ideal client should be someone who appreciates you and pays for it. You are going against your own teaching! 😢😅

Hey thanks for your comment, deals have their place in all of this, running deals is another form of marketing, they attract all types of clients and like you said some of them are tire kickers but some are also ideal clients who stumble across your deal. Marketing is like fishing, you just keep throwing your hook out with different baits and you know you may catch some that are too small to keep but occasionally you will get keepers.

Everyone likes a deal! Even your ideal client. I have a ton of high end clients who love a deal! Besides just because you have an "ideal" client doesn't mean that always what you'll get. Branch out and learn all aspects of clientele and how they interact. It will serve you well in the long run.
