Season 10 made me discover Welsknight and I regret not watching sooner!
I STRONGLY recommend his season 5 if HC 😂 And basically everything else. If you really wanna good laugh, take a look at his modded series with wifey (Couplecraft). It's a little older but still Hi-la-ri-ous 😂

I could not help coming to the comments when hearing the project for the day was a bridge after thinking his horse was dead. It's almost like he built a bridge so he could get over it.

For a Minecraft bridge, it's functional. As a bridge, I think it needs to sit above the water and not in it. I suggest raising the deck by at least a block with the center higher than the ends.
I agree, it would also allow boaters to get through.

Great episode, Wels, though you may wish to increase the floor height of your bridge so that people who are using boats still have access through there (I've seen several Hermits making use of waterways this season). 🐍

There were about an equal amount of dead and reapers in the fishing convention at Pearl's base. They relish an opportunity to cause more than their one dose of chaos.

The bridge looks nice, but it's kind of odd to see a bridge over a pond go to someone's back yard.
I am pretty sure it won't be a backyard for long, seeing what wels has done in his past Minecraft series. This is feeling a lot like a mini Kingdoms 2, and I'm here for that.

Seriously guys! Each person has their own style of building, mindset, plans, play style, editting style.
These are some of the reasons why content creators burn out so much to "please everyone" but if everyone has seen all the content, they're all taking it slow, enjoying their time and working on bringing back the enjoyment of playing with friends.
Trust the process and great job and surely a as welcoming comeback, Wels!
The suggestions to build the bridge higher so you can boat under it are valid. Having no arch along a span that long makes no sense.

I have what I feel is a really cool idea for a base, since a medival theme seems to be what you're going for, from what we've seen so far I think it would be cool to construct a wizard city, so it would look like ruins in the overworld but in the center there would be a nether portal in that is the Actual city you could have each hermit contruibute a building of any size/style so it would be very unique and interasting. Maybe have the entrance be a dungeon where all the farms and other overworld stuff could be. You don't have do this but I feel it would be very fun.

Fun twist to the bridge, finish the ends off as a Viking Long Ship. It already looks like one the way it is. Just an idea if you wanna add to it.

Wels, you should put a single line of half slabs on the road surface where the piers are. It would give it a bit of death but it also common for bridges to have expansion joints there.
This might be a silly idea wells, but would you ever consider doing a "House Flipper: Minecraft Edition"? Like just make a dilapidated house somewhere, and then you fix it up like you would in your house flipper series. I know I'd find it entertaining.
very nice looking bridge! a small thing i usually do when building stairs like that, if you stand on the bottom step you can align the next block a lot easier and you can just hold left, back and right click to place a bunch of stairs in a row

Perhaps leave room under any new bridges. Some of the hermits are enjoying boating around as they are not speed running to an elytra.
If you do decide to modify the bridge, I suggest raising the roof somewhere in the middle section up a block or 2 might give it a little flare

I'm a bit behind this season, but really loving your content. I've watched a bunch of your modded stuff and really stoked you're having fun with vanilla this season.
Hearing all these plans to kill Bdudz n knowing he carries his bed all the time n seeing him start his day with a super detailed trap search... I don't think ur plans will work. 🤞🏽I'm rooting for u, Bdudz!!!!
Love the design of the bridge! Though +1 to what others said about boat traffic - I think though it might be some work, a slight arch of 3-4 blocks in the middle would be good to remedy the issue.

Bridge looks great! I don't think it's too much spruce, simple functional bridges were often built using the wood available locally. If anything, I think the roof could look good one block lower with more of a curve.

I think with how much people are using boats this season and how much of a theme boats and fishing seems to be, the bridge might need to be done in a bit of an arch in the middle. As a hilarious alternative, you could make a canal routing around or even over the bridge.
Would love to see you team up with one or maybe two others and do a MC 1.19 (non-moded) Skyblock series. There aren't any good ones on the 'tube'.

You could also make another bridge opposite side of the one you just made to create two entrances into your island, also it would be awesome if you turn your tent into some kind of facade to your actual base underground
