My Bissel steam mop is my baby. Paired with my Shark Lift Away Duo vacuum, they are an unstoppable force. I have kids, dogs, a cat and a husband who is a slob. I have rugs and tiled floors and I literally never have to sweep or use a traditional mop and bucket and my floors are clean and shiny.

I see this mop as a deep cleaning mop because of the spinning brushes. I have a shark steam mop too but I use this like at the end of the week for deep cleaning. I find when I use it, my floors somehow stay clean for a lot longer.

Odd comparison as there is a corded version of the Spinwave as well. We find the counterrotating heads make it "float" and therefore effortless to maneuver. Buy extra pads (off-brands are fine) and it is always ready.

I know this is an old video but I think it’s worth noting that steam mops are damaging to vinyl flooring. The heat from the steam mop can cause the vinyl planks to warp. I have vinyl floors in my apartment so I decided to get the spin wave since it’s seems as effective as the steam mop but are different in the way they operate.

    • @Kalimedes-x6u

And does it do it's job on vinyl flooring? I'm thinking about getting a Spinwave. I got really rough dry-back PVC flooring so I'm a little scared it doesn't do a good job cleaning between the grains of the planks.

Same here. Steam may be superior cleaning method, but it’s not an option for my hardwoods! I’m going for the corded version of this Bissell Spinwave, since I have 3000sq ft of 100% hard floor. I also think you can control the moisture out on the floor with this machine, versus a wet/dry vac mop like a Tineco or Crosswave. That’s important for hardwoods, also. You want to use as little liquid as possible. Not to mention, clean up AFTER use will be easier with this Spinwave vs a Crosswave. Everyone says those Crosswaves work best if you vacuum first anyway. So, what time is it really saving me. One other thing I have read repeatedly is that pads clean better than brush rollers. Which might be why, too, that steam mops often out perform roller mops. So, if that’s true, I think I’ll get a better clean with this Spinwave. After all, cleaner floors is the whole goal anyway. Just my 2 cents!

We are both the Karcher and Bissel users. Our Bissel crosswave just died after some 5-6 years of usage. We were reconsidering our likes / dislikes and trying to decide, where do we move next. First - what we disliked on crosswave is, that it can't clean fully towards the kitchen cabinets, letting some 2-4 (1 inch) of uncleaned strip there. Second - while we would like to have a cordless version, 20-30 minutes + 4 hours to recharge and no rechargeable battery option, is completly awful imo. Like - really? We can't clean our appartment faster than in cca 1:20 hour using cross wave. For ad-hoc cleaning, those 20-30 minutes might be sufficient. But why producers don't provide replaceable battery options is still beyond my understanding ....

Hi!! I love watching your reviews! I am trying to choose a vacuum steam mop combo that will work well for pet hair on my tile floored house. I am leaning towards the Bissel Symphony Pet but I'm anxious about choosing it without your opinion lol, so I wish you had a video on this subject. Mostly for dog hair and dirt clumps they bring in, no "pet messes" like urine to worry about. I like the idea of the "dry debris" tank and steam mop vs like the Crosswave that's spraying and sucking up dirty water and straining out debris which sounds gross to have to clean after. I also like the reusable mop cloths as I have vowed to stop using wasteful swiffer pads or similar "throw away and buy more" style products. I'm also concerned about the exhaust possibly blowing the pet hair around while I'm trying to vacuum it up but haven't found any reviews on the Symphony that satisfy my questions, probably because I've been spoiled by your thoroughness! Wishing you the best and thanks for your awesome channel!

My kitchen ceramic tile is textured like stamped concrete and it is harder than hell to clean because grime sticks in those nooks and crannies. My steam mop doesn't make a dent. I'm debating between getting something like this electric scrub mop or the O-Cedar spin mop because no doubt I'll need to use bleach in whatever I purchase. Has anyone used an O-cedar spin mop and this electric mop? Your thoughts??
