Wow! These are both amazing! My son paid almost two grand for your signature ride, hats, and crash. I'm betting he already knows about these and has plans on owning them too lol. Don't blame him. Seems whatever you put your name on is just next level gear! I personally loved recording your cymbals! AKG C1000 with capsule off on your hats was glorious right off the bat!! Glad you put in all the effort man! Cheers✌
Benny Greb thanks for the reply! I honestly still love the drum so I’m definitely going to keep it. Despite being a small drum it has so much tone and character
The 50s Teardrop 😢 🥁 Lugs look killer 🤘🏻! An interesting and very smart dampening mechanism, they sound 👂🏻 great. I wish these snare drums came in standard 14" x 6.5" sizes as well because not everyone wants or needs a 13” piccolo snare drum. Sonor, it would be really nice if we could get the cool retro 50s Teardrop Lugs on the SQ2 kits as an option, I will take mine in Black 🖤 Nickel.
Love these snares!!! How can someone get that deep sound with the depth only being 5.75? Amazing! Speaking of getting deep sounds? Which snare is best for that? The wood one or brass?
If I had designed the snare, I wouldn't have done that dampening position. It would have been designed to push the entire 13 inch head instead of just one point. Also, the design of that sheep dampening is too unclear ... hopefully it will be improved. Heartily.
push the entire 13" head? how do you mean? this is the optimal dampening position that i would use from the outside usually so it made sense to use it from the inside... with these , different to vintage internal dampeners , they are finally in the right place, and not too far into the playing surface towards the center. i also don't know why the design of the sheep would be unclear.... pls explain further - i wanna understand. all the best. Benny
That first BRASS snare hit is *chef's kiss*

It does came with his ability?
Buy as an option!
Unfortunately I just recently bought the old version of his drum. Really wish I had known a new drum was in the works.
I feel you bro
hold on to it if you can , they might go up in value since you got one of the last ones then ...
I bought a Black Beauty the day before this got announced, so I feel you there 😂

You could technically make your own inside dampening pad from a piede of plywood and wool.
