That bass line is tricky, and of course, he nailed it. You guys always deliver the goods on the songs that know one dare even consider covering. Bravo boys, BRAVO !
Damn, Mark, you've gone and done it again!!! How could I ever forget this song? It was 1976 and I was a controller at Ontario TRACON (Terminal Radar Approach CONtrol). I'd crank the cassette wide open (all 10 watts) and play this as I drove to work. Between this song, Hotel California (Eagles) and Freebird (Lynyrd Skynyrd), there weren't enough airplanes in the sky to put ME down the tubes!! THANK YOU for restoring the memories of 'what once was....'
Were you flying in the LA basin back in those days? If so, we may well have spoken to one another. I was a controller at Ventura Tower, 72-75, Ontario TRACON 75-77, Las Vegas McCarran Tower/TRACON 77-79, Sacramento TRACON 79-86, plus military ATC before that. If you're interested, check out the book I wrote, BROKEN CONTROLLER: an Air Traffic Controllers Story, second edition. The book cover has a picture of the Norton sector at Ontario. My email address is on my youtube channel home page.
From Ireland have seen TL at least 5 times through my college yrs....guitar playing here is at another level ....Phil, Snowy and the boys.... takes me back ...Singing also spot in!
How in the world have I not heard of LLB over the last few years. Finally "discovered" them a couple weeks ago. Been down a total UA-cam rabbit hole ever since. Concert road trip? Who knows. Sounds like a blast.
Excellent! The drummer is a beast…and of course so are all of the rest of you guys! As a fellow musician I am inspired by your precise execution in all phases…nicely done!
Dont forget Stephan on guitar...Tucker on drums....watch them on Stranglehold, Flirting with disaster, Reelin in the years......right here on LLB......Rock on young brothers......Love this LLB
This is the first rock song I ever heard performed live. Not by Thin Lizzy. 🤭 But by a cover band that played at my Jr. High school gym. They were actually good and played a few current hits of the day. Thanks for bringing back a great memory! Oh, and you guys are solid as always!
You guys did an incredible job on this one. It's one of my all time favorites. Thin Lizzy released this when I was in 6th grade and just getting into rock and roll music. It's been a fixture in my music world ever since.
And as always and once again, I am brought back to my hay day when I was jamming the best tunes! One of my favorite tunes from my favorite tribute band! Thank you guys for the playback from way back! You guys are my fav!
Fantastic work guys!! You transported me back to my high school parking lot, hanging out with all my friends, jamming Thin Lizzy from the loudest car stereo, while the faculty wondered if the world was in fact going to hell in a hand basket! Such good memories, and such an amazing cover of this classic tune!!!
Being Welsh I have an eclectic music pallet from Pink Floyd to Lynyrd Skynyrd. But I went to see Lizzy in Manchester on their 'Live and Dangerous' tour. Probably one of the best live bands I've ever watched, it really wasn't equalled until the Foo Fighters came along! Good cover gentlemen - diolch yn fawr iawn look up the translation !😊
ANOTHER great hit and cover by the best tribute band! LLB rocks it! Great to see a couple of the veteran members playing too - Roger and Randy! Thanks Vandy for keeping it going! 👍🏻
Back in the 1990s my sons were young boys, and they loved it when I would play this on the cassette player in the car. They would sing "The boys are back in town, and the girls are not around!" I used to warn them that the girls they're killing now they'll be kissing tomorrow. They would say "No way, Dad!" Years later they would tell me that I was right! A father's wisdom!
Never been a huge fan of this song, but I have to say I really enjoyed your version! It's always a trip to watch Stephan Laplante play his left handed guitar! Both of the guitar solos were awesome! I don't think LLB can do a mediocre cover, you all are amazing! Keep up the great work, thanks for sharing!!
Well now I am 66yrs old & I saw them live at the Oakland Coliseum outdoors Day On The Green admittedly I was not a big fan until I saw them Live WOW! & I Just seen it duplicated perfectly! Great Job guys! the boyz are definitely Baci In Town!!!!
One of the killer songs from my teen years. Amazing having two Les Paul's playing like double-tracked guitars, damned near perfect vocals, and Randy was smoking on bass. Wow!
Nice! You guys were rockin’ the house with this one. Kevin perfect choice for the vocal. Roger super smooth doing all those quick riffs. Diggin’ Stephane’s old beat up Goldtop. Rhythm section was great. Kudo’s fellas.
I saw the debut of this song live on the top of Pops when we lived in the U.K. in the late 70s. Yall absolutely nailed this one. The dueling Les Paul's are so great. BW3
Way to go guys!! Best concert I ever saw was Thin Lizzy . Graham Parker and the Rumor led off. NYC. Thin Lizzy just rolled from song to song, virtually no break between songs. They had that place going crazy. Thanks a bunch!
Fantastic job fellas!! I've told you before, I play UA-cam on my living room TV through my main sound system and your videos play all day long sometimes. I love your sound!!! Looking forward to more!!!!
Thin Lizzy! Perfectly done!
I want to start a cover band-Fat Lezzy LOL All heavy lesbians.
That bass line is tricky, and of course, he nailed it. You guys always deliver the goods on the songs that know one dare even consider covering. Bravo boys, BRAVO !
💯
A jammin, tasty treat for my ears! Those twin lead guitars are hot!! Not to mention the triple guitar threat!! Love the Dale Sr shirt!! Cheers!!
Damn, I'm 62. That just brought back a tsunami of memories. Good job y'all. Shout out from Louisiana ⚜💪🇺🇲
Me too. 1962 seems a long time away now.😔
Amazing as always, and gotta love Randy killin’ it on that bass. You guys never cease to impress.
And to think, Phil Lynott played that part and sang at the same time! He was very underrated and I miss him still!
Randy is the man
Awesome guitars! Wonderful vocals! Totally tight!

Tucker Wilson....drummer rocks! They all do!!
Tight playing for sure! With a click track but that's understandable in this context.
Great job. Especially good lead vocal and guitars. Oh what the hell it was all good.
Greatest band in the known world. Addictive.
From Ireland have seen TL at least 5 times through my college yrs....guitar playing here is at another level ....Phil, Snowy and the boys.... takes me back ...Singing also spot in!
Randy on bass is like a warm blanket after you’ve come in from shoveling snow. 🎸 🎶 so smooth and unassuming.
Bringing back great memories from the 70s. Great job LLB
Phil Lynott would super proud of that boys. Another brilliant song.❤
To save time I went ahead and hit the like button then watched ... 😀

Thin Lizzy was so over looked, so under rated as a band..Phil was a legendary bass/front man..killer guitars..you folks nailed it..
So true.
I was in high school when this was released. Some songs just never get old. I do, but the song doesn't.
Another home run!!!! Perfect!!

Man, the harmonizing Gibsons were spot on, the drums knocking it out, the rocking bass, and the vocals made me Thin(k) Lizzy.
