I'm sorry, but I have to get this out of my system. The project is called "Robot Carnival" , If i remember right this short was called stardust, or something to that effect. There was no dialog, but was an exercise in special effects and animating techniques and camera angles.

Love the little edits here and there, like Sailor Moon transforming in-between the Utena shots. Also love Lum with the sphere. Definitely a step above the usual -city pop- future funk videos.

Ah, this brings me way back to the very first animes I watched. This music reminds me of the classics, such as Dirty Pair, Lupin III, Gundam Wing, Ranma 1/2, Sailor Moon, Dragonball Z, Tenchi Muyo and so much more.
I truly hope future funk nor vaporwave decline as a genre. They both serve the idea of “reviving the classics” and the sentiment of living in times like the 80’s where our world evolved in various ways, specially in music. If you deeply think about it, nothing compares to the classics. Nowadays, anime and music have turned into something way too different, of course, there are great masterpieces regarding these two today, but I personally believe that the music and media from those times developed in a much more attracrive and artistic way. Our opinions and likings may differ, but we might agree that this genre gives us back that vibe like no other music does today.
