- This is an interview that Amitabh Bachchan gave Vir Sanghvi for Star World's "Cover Story".
This interview was possibly recorded and aired sometime in 2001, much after 'Mohabbattein' and KBC relaunched Big B's career that had "gone to the toilet" (per Sanghvi) after ABCL went bankrupt!
This interview appears on the AVIS Viswanathan channel because Vaani and AVIS have been hugely inspired by this video. AVIS confesses in his Book "Fall Like A Rose Petal" that he and Vaani have watched this video "only a few million times" - each time they have watched it, they have found the inspiration to last one more day - through many, many, many dark days and nights of their own bankruptcy. Readers of AVIS' Book have been requesting him to upload this video because it is (strangely, curiously, interestingly) not available anywhere on the internet.

There could never be anyone like amitabh Bachchan ever. In spite of facing such extreme hardships, he didn't betray his fans & give up. He is so humble & down to earth. Simply incomparable & invincible. Nobody can ever match his talent..
We just don't get interviews like these anymore!! Today's interviewer just can't fathom doing something like this. Very Impressed.
A superstar who was loved by billions and then hated by millions due to politics, then loved by billions again... amazing story
He has gone through some really really bad times, no money, creditors knocking the door, no means of money..scary. Yet, the way he handled, he didnt loose thinking ability, and thought of asking work and doing whatever comes his way..WOW so many people commit suicide or loose health due to debt siutations and he came out with flying colors and HOW. He wouldnt had ever imagined the kind of success, money and legend he would become in coming years. More power to you and this interview and this phase of his life is a huge learning for everyone to not succumb in bad times.
Painful really. His failure must not have gone to his heart, that's why he has overcome these hardening, tough and rough moments. Lot of love and respect for him from Pakistan

if it wasn't for this interview would've never known how many problems this guy has gone through.. Mr. Bachchan never talks about his problems in the media. classy guy.
When we are at peak, it becomes difficult to distinguish between wolves & well-wishers. But this exceptional icon proved that the real hero in life too is one who gets out of even the toughest & sticky patch of life. The core motivational essence of his life is to have fighting spirit in all phases of life.

The fact is amitabh bachchan and rajesh khanna both were givendark phase but amitabh fought it and went through the tough phase and came out as a winner.
It's always lonely at the top,people pretend that they are your friend but when hard time comes,they began to segregate
It hurts a lot such successful legend gone through series of tough patches, made me to think positive, seeing a ray of hope to overcome failure and bad phase what I am going through....Thanks Vir...

@@santoshpatnaik1988 honestly advise u , dont much think about past and future. And stay away from negative people. belief on ur self. Most important stay always happy and try to research multiple sources of income.
