Good production value, 90 percent fiction. Roger wasn't some go-fer whining about getting a chance to fly; he was Jerry Dwyer's No. 1 pilot and he flew the Bonanza the night before. And Roger wasn't arrogant or bitter as portrayed, he was agreeable and pleasant, perhaps a bit overconfident. Roger worked a full day rebuilding an airplane engine that day, went home, had dinner and went to a Jr. Jaycees meeting. No one knew there would be a charter out of Mason City until that night. There was no competing pilot. Geez, the signed poster isn't even right. There are hundreds of reprints on eBay, it would have been easy to replicate. Interesting student film that doesn't nothing to "remember" Roger Peterson. How do I know? I interviewed Roger's mother and wife, and Carroll Anderson, the man who drove the performers to the airport, among others.

Very well done. Roger deserves remembrence. Did you ever determine what was done with the plane wreckage? My research says it was eventually buried on the owners land, but the location not revealed.
