Those look really cool. You can make something similar with old wetsuits, a couple cupholders per arm. Super useful (and free) for the hot tropical weather
That is the most gentlemanly way to drink beer I’ve ever seen. 🧐 My favorite part is how she closed the stitch so it didn’t fray and she didn’t have to make them separately. That’s expert level stuff.
Gotta love a walking foot sewing machine, loadsa sewing power! I know a swanky leather worker. He uses glass plate to cut on, he said it stops the blade going blunt when I asked?!
I live here in eastern NC for over 2 decades. The number of folks escaping the north east is staggering. So many NY, NJ CT plates, real estate getting gobbled up fast...... Refugees from California.... etc. Stories they tell me are heartbreaking. Great work JD !! Beautiful stuff! never disappointed !
Baby troll voice: "Are your trying to be Casey now, riding around on a hoverboard? You don't even make stuff anymore, you have to have you girl friend make stuff for you." Love ya Jimmy.
These are fun! I see you brought in a ringer to help you with the stitching. 😁 I always learn something about process, both design and build, from your videos. That's why I keep coming back. Thanks for sharing!
As a guy that sees value in everything, those hole cutout circle pieces could be used as 'feet' or bumpers for another project :-) Very cool project dude!
TheCultOfKaos That’s what I was thinking! Not that Jimmy throws anything away, but that would make PERFECT fodder for stacked leather handle on a knife. Maybe throw in a little extra laser cut on the next batch...
I’m going to be completely honest, after I did all that work, gluing and sewing, and they fit that tight..... I would have had an “oh sh*t” Moment!!! Nice work as always brother👊🏻
Woah funny coincidence, I actually started making a leather can cozy a couple days ago for my bro who had an accident at work and broke his finger! I'm using a strap instead of finger holes though since he can't grip very well right now.
Well that’s another thing I’ll need to try!! Great video, fun project and awesome seeing Taylor sneak in there! The sewing machine was like dancing to the music!
Hey Jimmy, in an old shop tour and tips&tricks video you showed how to stitch a wound shut with string and crazy glue... It is such an amazing trick. I have recently used it a bunch since starting Crossfit where my hands are routinely ripped to pieces and struggle to heal fast enough without the wounds opening up... Thanks for all the great content, I hope you see this. :)
So dang many possibilities to use my lasers for. Other than the sewing machine I could make something like this. I can stitch by hand for sure. Hmmmmm. Thanks for the inspiration.
@@jimmydiresta I wondered that myself, what are the rules about copying and pasting some one else's artwork and including it in a commercial product without giving credit to the source?
@@jtucker4201 it's illegal unless it's creative commons, which that wasn't as he nicked it from a commercial sign web site, I'm sure he would be the first to bitch if someone ripped of one of his designs, especially for commercial use, as a maker he should be supporting the small guy not ripping them off.
Baby Troll Voice: “the machine did all of the work. You didn’t even use real tools.” This project is amazing. Thank you for continuing to inspire makers and people who enjoy consuming making videos.
Awesome job- keep evolving Jimmy. Love seeing how your work and channel has grown through the years. Next toy, flatbed UV printer? They are an awesome pairing with CNC, laser, and an experimental mind.
I love the leather working videos! ever thought about doing business card holders? I think it would be cool to have your creativity wrap someone else creativity. great video
LOL I thought Jimmy's hand looked alot softer during that sewing segment LOL. Great video Jimmy as always.
:) :) :)
An excellent blend of old and new processes, digital & hand work.
my favorite part was seeing Taylor using the Diresta band-aid (3M blue tape) on her finger. Great Video and cool project!
That could be your next product. band-aids with DIRESTA on them.
I did think "what's he cut himself with this time?" before realising it was Taylor
I thought for a second “boy Jimmy sure has pretty hands!” I loved watching the little feet move the leather forward and back. Go Taylor!
The action on that sewing machine is mesmerizing. Absolutely love it.
Your creative quotient is off the charts. How you came up with a leather beer holder is mind-boggling. Well done Professor Diresta! Well done.

Totally brilliant, idea, design, manufacture, video, editing, as usual.
(Please tell that girly to NEVER walk around a workshop barefooted)

Loving the way the sewing machine appears to be 'walking' over the leather! :D

I could watch the foot of that sewing machine for hours. It's almost hypnotic.
It looks like it's marching.
Lovely how you got the fit so perfect, the marching feet so enchanting & the one size circles fits all fingers just right. Thanks for sharing!
The walking foot action on that sewing machine is amazing!!👌
They look great, a lot of great tips for those paying attention. I always like to see how the process evolves when you make multiples.
I love to see the building of the production line as you improve the processes to make it more efficient. Good job Jimmy
Was great watching the process of how these are made, quite like the design of the stubby holder too
I could watch that walking motion of the sewing machine all day long!
Nothing like mowing the lawn listening to Making It and then coming inside to watch this. Hope the office chair gets off the hose soon!
Nice job Jimmy. Stay well.
The action of that sewing machine is a work of art in itself :)
Special lady you have there Jimmy! Blue tape on her finger boo boo. Hard core and rocked it with style.
This guy always succeeds to make me smile.
Love the license plate on the Segway/scooter for the opening. Love the project!
I forgot all about the brass knuckles air nozzle. That put an instant smile on my face

@@dommer6977 I was just going to mention that! Better yet PEOPLE at work. More inclusive!
Craig Chingren-Hamann that’s too exclusive! Beings at work is probably more appropriate in this day and age! 😅
To my eyes, Taylor had a command mastery of that giant sewing machine.
Very cool, love the built in handle.
Next need a “Supervisor at work” with the guy on the toilet image you had in the video
So basicaly You've made can cozy like a mug to hold your can like a mug, but in the end You hold your can in your can cozy like a can. Briliant xD
