  • Grilled Ribeye Steak On A Pellet Grill!
    #steak #pelletgrill #ribeye
    Today We fired up our Green Mountain Grills Davy Crocket. We cooked 2 Ribeye steaks that were full of marbling. We ran the grill at 450 degrees which had our Grillgrates at 600 degrees. We seasoned them up with Fiesta brand fajita seasoning and Loot N Booty Whats Your Beef Rub. Crank that pellet grill up and give them a try!!!

    Have you tried the same times without the additional grill grates? I replaced my original grates with better grates.

    How long did it take your grill to get up to temp?

    • @501BBQ
      @501BBQ  4 роки тому +1

      It takes it probably 10 minutes to get to 450 after the initial startup.

      @@501BBQ I'm not sure what the temp grillgrate is at, but the grill is running at 550. I used grill grate 12 inch and cooked some thin sliced chicken breast. It took like 30 mins to get them done. Should I pull the heat shield off or move it to the far left? Should I also leave the grill grate for a couple minutes at 550 before putting meat on? Thank you.

    When you opened your fire box to allow direct fire to your grill grates where does the grease drip to?

      Very passionate over cooking good food... very very passionate over steaks!!!! I know everyone and their mother’s uncle can say they cook a good steak.... but I really can cook a great streak... salt pepper and little garlic powder... let it sit and get all happy ... put it on my top rack for a little bit just to get the juices flowing and then sear the heck out of it... reason I’m watching is I’m thinking of kicking my gas grill to the curb and getting a pellet grill... I have no idea which one to get... I just know I want to be able to sear a good inch and a half to two inch thick steak....a lot of people are saying you need sear grates... and some won’t get up hot enough to sear a steak.... so to someone who as owned a pellet grill, I could use some good advice of what pellet grill to get... seems like everyone I watch on UA-cam has a dog in the race one way or another... I just want someone to be honest with me about a pellet grill.. what is a good pellet grill... I also loving smoking turkeys every thanksgiving and Christmas..it’s a big deal around my family...everyone can’t wait for smoked turkeys.... so please if you can help let me know

      I’ve got a gmg and a Traeger. Traeger is older. Gmg gets hotter. To me the grillgrates are a must. You can even turn them flat side up to get a sear all over instead of grill marks. Definitely better flavor than a gas grill

      501 BBQ I have a pellet up right smoker... it’s a pit boss... love the flavor I get out of it... been using it for about 2 years.... I use a combo of cherry and apple wood blend I make for turkeys.... I was thinking of getting a pit boss XL cause it has that searing vent that opens but I also hear good thing and bad things about these grills...I also like the Zgrill .. never seen the GMG
