@@spac3jam514 I learnt I could help balancing my immune system with e.g. vit D & C, quercetin rich food, zink, nigella seed oil and better sleeping pattern. Thus I've now reduced intake of antihistamines class 1 that made me very tired. I've also started to force myself outside 2 times a day. It has to be short walks, bc often movement hurts. In total this has gradually become easier to do and benefits me. I also had a problem with reoccurring EB virus, and (although none of these guys gave any medical advice to persuade me to look into ivermxtin) I tried to take iv when the sore throat started. Before my sore throat, fever and fatigue lasted for weeks, now it's over in a couple of days. Not sure if that sore throat has been covid, EB or something else bc I wasn't tested every time (4 insidens), but normally any illness would last unnaturally long. This has improved a lot. Sorry for long answer, but this is just a short summary 😆

Hi John. Your influenza story is similar to mine, from about the same time period as yours. My mom propped me up on the sofa with several pillows and turned on the TV for me to watch. I was so sick I didn't have the energy to open my eyes to watch. I also remember saying a little silent prayer "Lord, kill me now or make me better, but don't leave me like this" and actually not caring which choice would happen. Real flu is awful stuff.
When my son had it, he took 15 minutes to climb one flight of stairs. Had to rest after each step.
A few days and back to healthy. Human bodies are amazing things.

Here in Switzerland, after two years of mask wearing we had the worst wave of massive bronchitis ever. Everyone had it, we were all sick for months, I don't recall myself ever getting that before : / They need to be careful with the measures they make for covid, because then it impacts everything else too!

Your father is very lucky , I would suspect the vitamin D3 helped a great deal but Paxlovid is known to interact with many medications all seniors seem to take such as high blood pressure and diabetes. My husband has diabetes with high blood pressure and an over reactive immune system, he is 69 , he has come close to death due to just a flu shot many years ago so his doctors advised just wearing a mask , which he has been in all public buildings since March 2020 , and has remained healthy , but his doctor's have said should he catch COVID his treatment would be ready with the IV monoclonal antibody treatment which they have claimed to be far safer and more affective the Paxlovid .

Three people in my household just recovered/ recovering from what I assume is BA.4 or 5 in TN. Age 54 (double vaccinated), age 57 unvaccinated, and age 88 unvaccinated. Same symptoms the first 5 days.
Day 1- monster headache, light hurt eyes, earache- no appetite
Day 2 and 3- hot/ cold, shivering to sweating, fever 99-102, very lethargic, no appetite
Day 4 and 5- low grade fever and gastrointestinal issues, husband had several bouts of diarrhea but my entire abdomen (upper and lower) extremely tender to touch- just felt like all my organs were inflamed- painful, no appetite
Day 6- vaccinated husband over it, outside mowing; my fever and stomach issues subsided but developed bright yellow drainage from sinuses, no appetite
Day 7-10 - started antibiotics for infection, saline nasal rinse 3xs a day, inhaled albuterol to open up lungs to cough out phlegm , appetite slowly returning
    Completely recovered by day 13.
Note: vaccinated husband faired better but he also doesn’t have an autoimmune disease or asthmatic issues that I’ve had for 20+ years. 88 year old bedridden mother is still weak, but her cough is just about completely gone.( We put her on Mucinex and antibiotics too). Her vitals were stable throughout her illness.

It helped me tremendously. I used to have quite bad colds - especially the first one or two of each new ‘flu season’. They used to last up to 2 weeks and some residual cough would bother me for 4 weeks. Now I feel it coming on but it stays in the initial phase, doesn’t progress into anything more serious and 3-5 days later it’s gone. Thank you so much! You’ve made more difference to me than any other doctor I would’ve gone to see in person. I agree John has been a great wealth of information. And if you follow him, you should know to take vitamin K2 whenever you supplement vitamin D3. They work in tandem in the body to regulate Calcium. Which I might add, is one of only a few nutrients doctors check with any regularity due to its importance and possible dangers. Doctors rarely, if ever check D3 blood levels. Even John can't get his Doc to check D3 blood levels where he lives. Optimal D3 blood levels are above 40 ng/ml. This is generally the range indigenous people along the equator have due to sun exposure.
Before discovering nutrients, I too used to have debilitating colds lasting weeks. They used to be so bad, that now I hardly recognize when I have one, they are so mild and inconsequential.
I have written papers on the benefits of D3 and other nutrients in protecting our health against pathogens including COVID. Remember no nutrient works alone, and so a balanced supply of all nutrients is vitally important. More is not necessarily better. Large amounts of one nutrient can deplete other important nutrients. Must keep a balance. Do your own research on what you might be short or deficient of. Understand and learn what nutrients you get from your diet. The general western population is short of D3, K2, and Mg. They are just not found in our food supply any longer. Older adults have even more nutrient concerns. Women also have specialized needs i.e... Iodine (breast health). You are only looking to supply your body with the nutrients you might be short of, to bring back a relative balance. All the best.

In general 4 or 5,000 IU's daily will get you there. But you might need more if you are overweight and live in northern latitudes. Also 200 mcg of Mk-7 (K2) should be taken daily as well. With the exception of those on blood thinners.
I personally take 10 to 15,000 IU's daily. I need my D3 blood levels high to deal with a few conditions I have. Last checked, my blood levels were at 108 ng/ml, which is high but still in the safe range (under 150). But as I said earlier, a high concentration of one nutrient can deplete other nutrients, so I still need to be careful.

@@mc-bb8pd I take 2000 IU of D3 about 3 days a week. But everyday I take 25 MG of Zinc, and 500 MG of C. I take them seperately, because I do not take a multivitamin. Try to get the vitiamins separately, and those vitamins that say USP with a seal around it. That means you are getting what you are taking. But if a bottle of vitamins doesn't say USP on the bottle, you may not be getting the right amount of that vitamin. They also say to take vitamin K with your vitamin D3. K helps the D3 to work. You can also get D from 15 min. a day in the sun. No sunscreen. It's a blocker of the D.

    Day 1 - sore throat.
Day 2 - sore throat, mild respiratory discomfort and coughing.
Day 3 - sinus and chest congestion, 100 degree fever, mild body aches, mild fatigue, sneezing, headache.
    Day 4 - same as day 3.
Day 5 - symptoms improve but head and chest congestion and coughing persist.
Day 6 - Symptoms markedly improved, still coughing and clearing chest and sinuses of clear sticky phlegm.
I tested positive for COVID in September of last year (8 months ago). It was a much more virulent infection that took several months to recover from. During the acute stage, I was very weak and dizzy. I couldn’t sleep and I had no appetite. This virus felt more like the flu. I wish God’s blessings upon anyone who contracts these nasty viruses.

Tylenol would bring his temperature down to 101., but you had to be on top of it. Mucinex kinda worked. He went to Urgent care on Friday Morning because he thought he might have strep. They tested him for Strep and the flu (negative), the Dr. Did x-rays on his lungs because he felt that his cough sounded odd. The x-rays showed the start of pneumonia, and they told him to start Paxlovid and azithromycin immediately. They also gave him prescription strength cough medicine. I’m hoping all this works for him. 18 months ago in the beginning of the pandemic, before the vaccines I had covid. I had my blood tested for antibodies. The antibodies were then very high. Now 18 months later I had my blood tested again and I still have very high levels of antibodies. Believe it or not.
I thought at that point, i had nothing to lose, took a book about herbal medicine, whitch i never used before.
2 things where good in my case. I thought, at the end, that i felt heartfailure and so on. I could sense it, i had no more time at the end. So, i tried this 2 remedies.
      1/ elderberry syrup
      2/ onion tea.
I used also my asthma inhaler for my asthma attacks at the same time!
3/ asthma inhaler (corticoids). Had asthma attacks 24/7 at the same time too. I had this, because i had severe asthma back then.
I had only this options at the time.
I was so terrible, sick, struggling, very bad shape, with at the end an enlarged heart and water in my lungs, pneumonia, pleuritis, fever, cramp in my left leg, cold, I tried at the same time, not to suffocate and breath lightly to reduce the sharp pain when breating, and many more health issues, that i could not move, stand, sit up... so i called a friend and told her to buy a bag of onions and in the farmacy 1 bottle of elderberry syrup without any other additives + elderberry tea, pure 100%, without adds.
I then took 3 big onions uncutted ( i could not cut it anymore, because i felt just in agony ). I added all onions in 1,5 L boiling water and turned the flame on the lowest for about 20 minutes. Turned the figher off. The onions stayed in the pot.
1x cup of warm, onion water every 3 hours.
1 soupspoon of elderberry syrup every 4 hours. Not more!!!
I thought at 1 point i take 2 spoons. Very big mistake!!! Blurry vision. I thought my retina was disconecting itself from my eye! Very scary experience.
My dog. A Belgian Mallinois, i saved 1 month ago, before getting sick, was glued to my body with his full body next to me, the WHOLE time i was sick. After that he was again beside my feet at the end of my bed.

my husband got covid last wendesday. he only knew because he had a migraine attack (he gets them often due to his time in service and is even rated for this with the VA) and for protocol, they test you in the ER. he went in and they did tests to make sure the migraine was nothing more, and when they discharged them a few hours later the doctor said, "by the way, your covid test came back positive" like it was nothing. he isolated in our guest bedroom and for about 30 hours he had extreme exhaustion but then was completely back to normal. no cough, no congestion, nothing. he DID have a mild fever. the highest it got to was 101.6 but an hour later was 100.3 and lower. that lasted for about 12-ish hours. what a strange time. he is in the high risk category and exempt from the vaccine. he tested negative for the first time today and will test again tomorrow morning to make sure. but 10 days testing positive and hardly any side effects. we're very grateful because for high risk and unvaccinated, we understand it could have been worse. thankful but thinking of those going through this and having a hard time.

But all of the, yes all of the vaccinated have contracted C19. A recent wedding was very telling as this fact held fast and leads me to believe being vaccinated is not the answer and possibly the cause of the "pandemic". 5 seperate instances of family members in the one household where some vaccinated and some unvaccinated and all yes all vaccinated contracted C19 and unvaccinated were tasked with taking care of vaccinated family members 🤷.
