a mini herd break out & our 1st calf

the 82 year old herdsman, Donough forgets to close the field gate and the next morning unsurprisingly my mini herd is roaming the garden around Irnham Hall, like they own the place !
it doesn’t take long to round them up though, with a bag of cow nuts and i am rewarded with our first calf of the season : ) from a limousine vow called Zulu.
Donatello my hereford bull isn’t shooting blanks after all !
