Coming from a person who knows absolutely nothing about these trucks you made it seem very easy to do this. I’m gonna get my friend to help me. Wish me luck
96 hardbody was my first truck. I bought in 97. Yes I'm old lol, 40. I used blocks and pulled the middle spring. Cranked torsion bars , got alinement. Nice ride
You can flip and swap your control arms too for more low! Look into it! You love your Hardbody's Sir! Those Steelies are coming in clutch as well! Keep it up! #SquadetteOutForNow
I noticed that you forgot to state that lowering will also give you a really bouncy ride on the front end. I have done it before and it got a really bouncy ride. if you want to have a smoother ride and still want that low end you could also spend a little more and get drop spindles. then use the torsion bar to lower even more.
please don't lower your truck like this if you ask around you will find the correct way to lower your truck it may be more expensive but at least you won't destroy your truck. this kid is showing a cheap way to lower your truck but it will really mess up your drive train and suspension please do some research.
James Minor You criticize his method of lowering his truck, but, fail to educate us on the correct method of lowering...So! In your opinion: Where did this “kid” go astray...?
A 97 was the first vehicle I’ve ever had and I thought my dad sold it but he said it’s sitting on his other property waiting for me to come get it I’m so excited to take the trip and go get my baby back
Static dropped my 720 over 17" eskies using lowering blocks, removed bumpstops and took out center leaf spring and rekeying the torsion bars ... it was slammmmeeedddd and looked badass :) btw pb blaster works much better f0r removing old rusted bolts
thank you for the video ''you brought back memories of my first new truck I ever bought a 86& 1/2 Nissan hardbody, I paid $6,995 back in 1986. Hey man I got one truck like yours but single cab and I was wondering where did you get those blocks or what's the name of it so I can order to low my truck
How much clearance would I have in the front on the stock 14’s I want it lowered fully so I can measure up some new wheels but don’t want it to rub and then have my truck squatted
I think you would have less clearance with the factory 14" rims then a 17" with small tire but it all depends on what drop you have, what size rims, & what size tires. I can't really help out to much man
Hola!! En angulo queda hacia adelante o hacia atrás... baje mi b2000 pero tuve que empujar el eje hacia adelante con fuerza para encajar ( puse el ángulo hacia adelante ). Y a veces hay un click o ruido raro....
im surprised nobody has asked this yet but what is the width of your wheels? thinking of getting 16x10's and am curious how far they stick out. your wheel width is what I am looking for to go on my 96 hardbody
Did you measure the front height both sides.after you drive it the suspension settles and it goes crooked till you adjust it the same and test drive then check height
in the front, what if i dont want bad camber, cause it just going to eat up my tires._. I really want to lower it, but i dont want camber then have to get it aligned.
Drop spindles. They lower the front 2 inches and keep the stock geometry then you loosen the torsion bars sone till its at the height you want. But regardless you will need an alignment
You can use 4x4 top control arms to get rid of camber .. they are longer than 2wd control arms. I cut the bump stops in half and cranked the torsion bars down. = perfect camber
i have a 1985 king cab and the driver side tire rubs on the fender when i make a turn , i want it stock , but dont know if some one meesed with the suspention , any recomendations
I gotta 86 with 3 inch blocks on 16s and i have like 3 inches from tires to the body and comparing to what you did just from the video i should be hella lower than what i am idk if theres a difference between the 93+ to the 92-
Do a ranger, I cant find a good video for the 95 ranger generation. But the 2.3 lima engine in that truck is tough as fuck and it'd be a cool daily to drive a slammed ranger
Back in 1986 we did this countless times to most of the truck club. ( Southern California Hot Bodies…hardbodies only! Truck club). Just remember, the u bolts can not be closer to the ground than the lowest part of the rim. You will be ticketed.
This is a lot easy if you use jack stand right in front of the leaf hangers and let the rear suspension droops so there’s no load on the suspension. You then unbolt the a us a jack to lift the axle so you can slid the blocks in. This way also Make it easy center your axle in the case the axle slide alittle to one side.
@@STONEBROKEGARAGE sorry bro xD I was sleepy AF. I also got a Nissan D21 but the hardbody is not made from metal is, is made from wood, can that influence the slamming process? My English is not the better since im Portuguese

@@STONEBROKEGARAGE the terrano Is like a path finder The navara is a pick up its similar to a hardbody but it has different front gards bonnet and grill

Good video! I have a quick tip for anyone that wants to do this. Use PB Blaster instead of WD-40 it works way faster in dissolving rust and build up.

Yeah but that goes without saying the only reason I haven't gone with spi does is because the font give you any camber which is what I need

What’s the type of lowering blocks you bought ? Belltech but the 6203 --6100 ?
What size are the original UBolts. I have a hardbody that’s slammed but wanna go back to stock for now.
Love that style of rims
Thanks !
Streatched tires
"Made to be slammed" lmfao
What size block did u use and how many inches did u do in the front
Yup they are good on gas I wish I never got rid of my white 92 single cab 5 speed hardbody
Question for ya bro. I bought an 05 toyota matrix xr. Is there a good site to get a lowering kit? Love your vids. Ima huge fan and ty
Bell tech
Great vid! Was wondering if its the same process and parts for Datsun 720. I know the D21 and 720 are similar but idk how similar.
Yes, pretty much the exact same
My uncle used to have a hardbody in highschool and he told me today if I get a hardbody when I turn 16 he will lower it for free😂
That's wassup!
What are the wheels/specs? I really like them. Great video

What are the exact measure of your rims?
How did you lower it more down from the front wheels ?
you know a good place to buy flip kits to lower an axle? coz my springs sit on top of my axle.
I'm not to sure tbh man
What size are the wheels and tires
How low can i go with a tire that had no stretch
depends on what size rims you running
Which way does the wedge go if you don't mine me asking is it lower part to the front of the truck or is it to the rear of the truck
Taller part goes in the rear
What’s the difference between tapered and non tapered blocks? All I want is to lower the back about 2”
you don't really need a taper for 2" but it's all pretty much to help out with your pinion angle
im surprised nobody has asked this yet but what is the width of your wheels? thinking of getting 16x10's and am curious how far they stick out. your wheel width is what I am looking for to go on my 96 hardbody
x10 & maybe like 2" poke
Did you measure the front height both sides.after you drive it the suspension settles and it goes crooked till you adjust it the same and test drive then check height
yes , both sides are even in the front
@@STONEBROKEGARAGE o.k
Idk if someone already asked. Whats the part number of the block kit
What’s up man been watching all your videos.. I had a question is it the same process for a 98 Tacoma
I'm not to sure tbh. I've never worked on a toyota but it should be very similar
Once you use leaf springs at the back, it’s the same procedure to lower the back.
Good video my dude 👍👍
Thanks man !
Cant wait to see more videos of the d21
How do you reindex the front Torsion bars
what way does the slant on the block go
Take the bottom leaf spring out, flip the leafs and youll tuck in the rear
Aye bro so I got how 2 lower the back of the truck but the 2 slower the front u just loses up bolts ??
Yeah pretty much. The more you listen the bolts the more it drops
in the front, what if i dont want bad camber, cause it just going to eat up my tires._. I really want to lower it, but i dont want camber then have to get it aligned.

add shims on your upper control arms

tall side in the rear
which way does the slant on the block face??
i have a 1985 king cab and the driver side tire rubs on the fender when i make a turn , i want it stock , but dont know if some one meesed with the suspention , any recomendations

I appreciate the tip, I’ll keep it in mind !
I had a 94 hard body and I reposition the leaf springs hanger and cut off access and gain another inch and a half
If i was to turn the leafs up-side down, and get adjustable shocks on the front side? Would tht work?
I'm not sure I've never don't it that way , pretty sure it would.
I'll try doing it👍, and let you know if it worked
Which way does the small side of the block face ?
Clean setup bro...what are your wheel specs?
