    Annuities are robbery. Avoid making other rich or profit from your $. Giving your money away to have someone give it back to you isn't smart.

    My frustration is that you can't specify which fund to withdraw from. So I can't withdraw solely from my F Fund allocation.

    Transfer everything to your own, private, IRA. You have a lot more control.

      that also puts many limitations on you...especially if you fall under "The 55 Rule"

      But make sure the operating fees on your new IRA aren’t more than the TSP fees, which are actually fairly low.

      TSP Installment payments work best for me. Retired 31 Dec 23, take 4%, clear more in retirement than when working. All in the "G" Fund and balance is higher than when I initially retired... We are happy with this setup!

      @@tonyroy1948 That's awesome, I retired early (55)...58 this week, my TSP has been kikn butt, won't use it unless I need it but can't wait till I get to the "we have to speend" time
