Absolutely outstanding people crafting historical pieces for millions of people to gain pleasure. My grandfather was born in Melbourne in 1903 and was a carriage builder and master builder - even learned how to build ships for Australia. He would have been chuffed to see fellow Australians making such a remarkable carriage for the king.
You are an amazing man Jim. I recall several years ago we visited your garage up at North Head Sydney to view the Diamond Jubilee State Coach and to listen to your wonderful commentary. The historical artifacts gathered from all over the world and embedded in the coach are a testament to your skill. It was fitting for HM Queen Elizabeth 11 to gift you an MVO to accompany your OAM. Very best wishes for your recovery.
The main shell of the Australian Jubilee Coach given to QE2 was built by an ex- fibreglass student of mine. Just like the "The Beast" for the US President. It can withstand an IED going off directly under it.
yes its beautiful, but why the hell is he having to fund it himself, for one of the richest families in the world? No disrespect to him, he and his team are artisans.

Jim Frecklington brings honour and pride to Australia by his skill and craft. A fine Australian.
Remarkable people. Absolutely outstanding. It's quite odd that no-one in Britain can make them.
From a British subject, thank you Jim, what incredible craftsmanship
An amazing carriage ❤️ I am sure King Charles 111 and the rest of the Royal family will love its striking beauty 🇦🇺
*AS A BRIT* who is not that into the monarchy THANK YOU OZZY MAN...!!! And please train an apprentice to take over, we cant lose these skills...!
What a beautiful story, I'm a proud Australian ❤
Australia has some great talent and skilled people. Beautiful.

Stunning work
Good onya there ol'mate, amazing work.
What an amazing story, and man!
Brilliant artisan skills producing a thing of true beauty. Fantastic.
Great craftsmen and women. Wonderful work.
What happens when these talented people die, who will carry on this Australian legacy of making unique carriages for future generations of royals?
Very cool.
I met the bloke and got to see the Jubilee carriage up close. You should do an entire article on the bloke. His story is amazing.
so the reporter said he paid for the carriage ,which is very generous considering the king is right up there as one of the richest people alive today
I'm not a huge monarchist, but what a work of art!

I THINK THE ROYALS HAVE ENOUGH CARRIAGES NOW !!!!!!
Outstanding craftsmanship.
Weird that it exists though, very odd that we parade an old human around in it.

Unbelievable isn’t it?
I understood the King is funding it himself / personally not the carriage maker or government fund.
Because he wants to. It's about leaving a legacy. It says it in the video
