Great to see the video surveillance images displayed on a 40-inch monitor during the intro, fantastic to see the lower half of the full perimeter of the ‘Shed-of-Dreams’ concrete panelled to remove the opportunity of the criminals cutting their way in, and so refreshing that you use the winter downtime to service the plant. Dropping down to a 4-day week, and celebrating success with the team exemplifies strong leadership and performance excellence. I see so much in these insights. Please keep the coming. And I know you drove to Sussex to speak at a next-gen event to pass on your personal philosophical view on tomorrow’s farming. Altruism 101.
The way you explain the farming industry, tax etc is by far the best on social media. You are candid and informative and unlike other channels don’t let emotions or ego get in the way of delivering a point. Keep up the good work.
Excellent update James. I am quite envious of your staff and had I had my life again I would be sending my CV in to become a member of your staff. I hope that other bosses/managers take a leaf out of your book and treat their workers with the same amount of care and compassion. It's easy to be a bad boss but hard to be a good one.
British farmers need to be more like the French it's the only way the government will listen, direct action is needed before it's too late. Well done to all your team for doing a fantastic job.
I now have realised why you are successful James, you appreciate the effort and dedication of those around you and you share the rewards, top boss would have love to have worked for you in my day- sadly long gone now.
Brilliant update James You’re right your staff are the backbone of any business but give yourself credit. You have the best staff because you treat them right. Not only do they drive the best gear but you feed them. I thought the 4 day week is a fantastic idea! Working these days is all about work/life balance. But above all you know how to talk to them make them laugh. Which is the most impressive thing. You can generally see you have a massive family feeling within your staff. Brilliant to see… Thank you for sharing. 👍🏻
Congratulations on getting the drilling done James. It’s just fantastic how everyone works together for the common cause and You are very skilled at keeping everyone happy, showing a personal interest in them all and cracking a joke here and there. Personally, in the last few months I,ve been watching your channel I,ve been blown away by the attention to detail and planning that is invested in your Business. Regarding the Budget, You made many good points and explained the situation so well. I was thinking whilst listening to You if only this was on National TV right now the public would totally get what a raw deal farmers are facing. I don’t think the Government will ever wake up to Food Security until we see empty shelves! From what I,ve seen, You and Andrew Ward are among the best people out there to get the message across
Great stream as ever, it's the old saying if you fail to plan then you plan to fail. With all of the organisation at PX Farms that's the obvious reason why this operation is the great success that it is. 😀👍
We are only a small farm but still the relief of getting drilled up this year was immense. Actually have a clear head for the first time in a year. I can only imagine the pressure of a farm your size, congratulations to the team on getting it done. Nice concise answering of the questions at the end too. Impressive.
James well done to you and your team goes to show what good management accomplishes and that you and your team value each other to get the job done. As for this people complaining about farmers and tax, what they don't seem to comprehend is that without our farmers we will be importing everything and we will be subject to the whims of other governments and issues such as they have just had in Spain where they and crops have just been totally wiped out, and as for the government tax increases as you say it is not as if you can just increase prices as your subject to market conditions and cheaper imports of sub par product. What we need to do is protect our vital resources this ranges from Farming, Hydrocarbons, and get back to manufacturing which we do nothing like we used to do, people are going to start complaining as these new taxes are going to cause inflation unemployment and we are going to go backwards as a country, and people who complain I would like to see them do the hours and work in conditions like live stock farmers which is 24/7/365 and the reward that they get in an £ per hour they are way below minimum wage. farming is a vocation and you are as you say your only custodians of the land and countryside.
I say it time and time again I really enjoy your Channel,I'm not a farmer but since a very young age I've always had a very keen interest in Farm Machinery especially combines,The 1 thing I really like about this Channel is the way you explain the Highs and lows of the day to day running of an arable farming business it's not all about the glamorous side of owning Huge Machinery to get the job done and it actually makes me appreciate what farmers worldwide keep up the great work
I'm somewhat envious of your new machinery shed. Half of my machinery including combine are still outside until some grain is collected. With today's tractors, trailers etc much larger... you can never have too big a machinery storage building.. Keep making your excellent videos, they really are a must watch
Well done on getting the Drilling done, its nice to see all the machinery being washed and checked before the next season. Some people just do not realize farms go back generations, I totally understand where you are coming from we are going to loose farms & farmers that have worked hard just through this stupid Budget. I am 100% behind the farmers and we all must prove to this government we are not going to sit back & let them get away with it, its not only the farmers that are going to suffer but everyone else connected with it and the general pubic with price increase that will come sooner rather than later. I had to give up working on farms through health issues , but I still take a interest in it & that is why I am behind the British farmers in these uncertain times. Keep the videos coming James it is something I look forward too.
James, love you videos, your insight etc. I'm not a farmer, my grandfather had a farm around Colsterworth which he rented, unfortunately he died when I was 13, which never gave me the opportunity to either continue his farm or work within the industry. I live the other side of the country now but recognise so many of the areas you work in. Keep up the good work, your clearly astute, insightful and a good boss.
Congratulations team , James you definitely have great leadership skills , very inspiring. Your channel for me is the best thing to watch on UA-cam almost makes me want to return to farming 😊, very much look forward to videos , hope you can keep them up even through the winter period.👍
Teamwork makes the dream work, and James and you have a fantastic team behind you. Also, James, we had a new spray shed built in 2019 and it made such a difference to our turn around when we are flat out. I know you most probably will, but we found collecting our rain water from our roof to a holding tank saved us a lot in drawing water in. With the size of your new "shed of dreams" over the year will be 1,000s of litres. Thankyou for your videos 👍🏻
Great update! Loved Cousin Michael’s drilling sign-off! 😂 The shed of dreams is really coming along nicely now the walls are going up! Must be very exciting!
Another great video! 🤩 You mentioned employing 50+ people, obviously we see all the Glory boys, including Cousin Michael in front of the camera, but a successful business such as yours, must have a fantastic team crossing ‘t’s, and dotting i’s’ behind you. Interesting to learn more.
As a concrete truck driver said to me recently James as we began pouring a large shed floor similar to what you're shed of dreams "There's three things in this world drive men mad; whiskey, women and concrete!" Another brilliant update that I look forward to watching.
I think you and Andrew Ward will tie them in knots listing to what you have both said to day on you videos , l would like to see both of you on TV news and then you would get more backing from the none farming community l am sure.
When Working as a soil sampler i have seen the difference in farming practices across the country over 15 years. From Cornwall across to your area, I have met so many fantastic farmers, workers, and landowners. The industry needs positive people like you and cousin micheal, look at how many people your employing, land gets sold but contractors come in farm it and usually need a extra tractor driver which creates a job in agricultural which is hard to come buy. So your giving people a future in farming.
Years ago we had to send our machinery to Ireland for a contract and just after a foot and mouth scare, on the way to the docks we had to get an inspection and certification of cleanliness, I was offered a job cleaning tractors and diggers! I love cleaning machinery! I’ve also just realised how dull I am 😂😂 another great video! If ever you want someone who drives diggers and tractors to join your team!!! I’d love it
Another excellent video James and well done to all the team for completing the drilling in challenging conditions also cousin Michael did a fantastic job whilst you were on holiday with your family, you are some great guy to work for as you think so much about all of your workers taking them out for a meal very few would do that these days and I am sure they really appreciate it and will all go that extra mile for a great boss like yourself. I myself worked in arable farming for many years and know what is involved the long hours ect...so try to ignore all the negative comments, you are some very intelligent business man James listening to you talk about all of financial impact the budget will have on your company is frightening, I am sure you will find a way to make it work somehow so just keep doing what you do best James and that is farming which you are so passionate about and without people like yourself we are all in trouble with regards to food security for the future generations. PS: The shed of dreams is really starting to take shape now.
James.. regarding a question you answered at the end of this video. The Inheritance tax, if it forces farmers to sell land, can this land be built on, for social housing, or is it safeguarded for farming only?
James I would like to hear your thoughts on the price increases on machinery in the last few years and how you plan to manage it going forward ,really admire your work and organisation skills well done ,
Great Spock's person James ,I do hope that you are one of the 1800 persons/Farmers going to London to tell all the labour ministers How it actually is,great video hope it all grows well ,you deserve a good year ,all the best
I like the way you run your business, and the way you gave your view on how the budget effected your business, it even effects the poor the middle classes and everyone else who pays taxes, some of whom will find it very difficult to find extra money what just is not there, I appreciate what you’re saying but business people will just pass the costs on to the general public, like it or lump it, we will all pay. The only people who do get away without paying taxes are big businesses and the rich who always have the uncanny knack of paying little or no tax and until it does the status quo will always exist, perhaps you could tell the government how to make it fair for the whole country! But I doubt they will and that goes for whoever is in power, keep up the good work 👍
Well done to PX Farms for drilling up. I do like your skill at using all your staff too their strengths and what they bring to the business. Appreciate your transparent honesty with PX Farms bottom line following the recent budget . Personally i think a lot of farmers will need to take good financial and business advice rather then make a knee jerk decision ref inheritence tax. Roll on the next election. Keep doing what your doing.
Hi James & Team Nice one the new shed looks good well said about the Budget 🤞the government will see sense the early 2000s were a dark and depressing time in farming that ended a lot of livestock farms Have a good week Thanks again
Great catch up video James your team has worked hard for you I have to admit, seeing your 1167 with a ripper on the back going up and down outside No 10,like in France would get someone’s attention but not very practical, let’s hope the NFU can talk some sense into the people in power plus it’s having,a huge affect on other businesses in different sectors,i think the main problem is she hasn’t got a clue what she’s doing, and don’t pay any attention to nasty comments, they don’t know what they’re talking about, and most probably jealous. The new building looks awesome 👍👍
Another great video, congratulations to you and your team on a job very well done, some wise words at the end, very short sighted thinking from the government , need someone like you to run the country. 👍
Another nice update James , good to see you and your team are finished drilling hopefully the weather will play ball and get caught up with the spraying May i ask why the horch drill is going to france, i know of farmer in his day that always rode his bike round a lot of the farm, sadly hes no longer alive
Hi James I think you have explained the costs and inheritance tax very well, how far do you think farmers will go to get the message through to the government.
Great update as always could you tell me how many staff you employ for such a large operation it’s great to see the hardworking staff doing a four day week after drilling completely finished it great to give the staff some proper family time
Hi James When you replace the tyres on one of your JCB forklifts I would be interested in the old tyres if they are 24”. I don’t want deep treads running across grass in my site. Paul
As far as I understand in France only farmers are able to buy farmland or if you buy farmland you must farm it .keeps the price of land as low as £1000 per ac😮re
thank you for your honesty and insight as to what extra money your business has to find, I simply do not understand this nonsense the government said they will not tax the working man, apart from the fact any business capable of passing on the increase will (to the working man) but the other thing I have noticed is James working !!!!!!!!. but then they do not know what a women is so what hope have we
Brings it home what unthought out tax changes do to businesses large, small and farming when they have planned for a year ahead already. It's was an inflationary budget in the old tax and spend ways so interest rates won't drop either.
Well said James unfortunately only people in this industry will understand the stresses and strains of it, and the fact we can control everything apart from the one thing we rely on the most. THE WEATHER. It's enough to make farmers give it up on its own, and now the government is a great shame as people will now give up agriculture because of tax. Shed is looking great.
Wow when you talk about the figures as honestly as you do it's frightening we as the public need to understand the implications, I think yourself Wardy Olly Harrison Joe Seels are doing an amazing job getting the message out there and others but the general public have no idea what this government are doing and I don't think they have either, how many members of the cabinet have actually worked in any industry let alone farming
I don't want to push too much smoke up your chimney, however, that was an excellent summary of the consequences of the Labour budget. Actions have reactions, which I doubt they have thought through in carefully enough.
Great video as usual but I'm surprised that the increase in the minimum wage is going to hurt you as I would have thought that to get the quality staff you have, you would already be paying above the minimum you are obliged to?
There is a complete lack of understanding in government that farming is a vocation , people do it not for the money...they do it, because they love it and they see themselves as temporary custodians of the farm...this measure will kill the family farm which was already in difficult territoryin terms of viability...great videos
Thank you for being prepared to be so candid and informative regarding the effect the budget will have on your enterprise. I cant see anyone not understanding that, and reaiising how unutterably damn stupid the government are when it comes to farming and the countryside. I cant believe anyone thought things through before they foolishly voted for these clowns; it is a party and political approach that simply cannot work. And never has. Thanks James, as usual.
The recent budget was completely unthought about, every body in the treasury including Rachel Thieves are not up to the job. Most of them have no business experience and never done a days work in their life. Just wondering what is the significance of the rather large pig on your desk. Another great video, excellent that your team managed to get all the drilling finished.
James you are a very studied astute thinker. Pity our politicians aren't of your caliber. Pleased your drilled up you have a great team.
British farmers need to be more like the French it's the only way the government will listen, direct action is needed before it's too late. Well done to all your team for doing a fantastic job.
I agree we need to make a stand. We cannot sit down talk and with the Government they will not listen!! Talk with are FEET!!

Great video, as always, James. In the uncertain world we live in nowadays, we need you farmers more than ever. Thank you.
Thank for your explanation on the IHT, you are the first farmer I have heard on any of these platforms that make any sense. Great update as usual.

It’s a great team effort and you are a good boss
Well done great videos

Thank you for your time in making the video
Great Spock's person James ,I do hope that you are one of the 1800 persons/Farmers going to London to tell all the labour ministers How it actually is,great video hope it all grows well ,you deserve a good year ,all the best
Good update, nice feeling to be done. I think you have a great team with a nice environment.

Fair play to Glyn, he puts a shift in.
I passed your Unimog pulling a JCB down the A1 Friday lunchtime... Im sure it was Raymond driving. Gave him a beep and a wave as I passed.. 👍
It was Freddy (Raymond’s brother)
@PX_Farms I was close then.. 😉
some good context at the end there on the extra expenses.
Great educational and informative content. I love Dad’s wallpaper 😍. Keep Britains Farmers Farming. 🇬🇧🚜👍
Hi James & Team Nice one the new shed looks good well said about the Budget 🤞the government will see sense the early 2000s were a dark and depressing time in farming that ended a lot of livestock farms Have a good week Thanks again
Congrats guys, you so deserve to win. Proud of you all...
Such hugely damaging budget, great to see the dynamic team you have around you all taking pride in the job they perform
James keep going well done
If your concreting that floor make sure you put expansion joint material around stauntions a proper firm would do that in 3days power floated as well
great video james well done to the team
Great catch up video James your team has worked hard for you I have to admit, seeing your 1167 with a ripper on the back going up and down outside No 10,like in France would get someone’s attention but not very practical, let’s hope the NFU can talk some sense into the people in power plus it’s having,a huge affect on other businesses in different sectors,i think the main problem is she hasn’t got a clue what she’s doing, and don’t pay any attention to nasty comments, they don’t know what they’re talking about, and most probably jealous. The new building looks awesome 👍👍
Great work james, wardy will be wanting a word with you!!
Another great video, congratulations to you and your team on a job very well done, some wise words at the end, very short sighted thinking from the government , need someone like you to run the country. 👍
Another great video James, congratulations on finishing the drilling😀cheers.
Superb update. Im not sure how you manage it all on the scale of your business . All the best
Well said James

May i ask why the horch drill is going to france, i know of farmer in his day that always rode his bike round a lot of the farm, sadly hes no longer alive
Hi James I think you have explained the costs and inheritance tax very well, how far do you think farmers will go to get the message through to the government.
Well done James, how much fuel did you get through with the machines this season!! ?
Great update as always could you tell me how many staff you employ for such a large operation it’s great to see the hardworking staff doing a four day week after drilling completely finished it great to give the staff some proper family time
Thankyou my question as been answered I must wait till the end of your videos before I comment I guess I got carried away in the moment 👍👍
Great to see you back and relaxed james...I'd love to see at 20k subs by xmas...👍👍😜
Hi James
When you replace the tyres on one of your JCB forklifts I would be interested in the old tyres if they are 24”.
I don’t want deep treads running across grass in my site. Paul
Another very interesting podcast James, thank you.
As far as I understand in France only farmers are able to buy farmland or if you buy farmland you must farm it .keeps the price of land as low as £1000 per ac😮re
Try a samash Joe seels has one amazed by how his worked, could be a solution for your ditches another great video
4 day week. Does everyone have the same day off? Or is it staggered across the week?
Great update James!
thank you for your honesty and insight as to what extra money your business has to find, I simply do not understand this nonsense the government said they will not tax the working man, apart from the fact any business capable of passing on the increase will (to the working man) but the other thing I have noticed is James working !!!!!!!!. but then they do not know what a women is so what hope have we
An odd question James, what is the story vehind your Rocketeer poster, which is quite impressive.
Is it time to form a farmers cooperative to help set a helpful price for grain and other commodities
Michael true professional thanks for the video

Look Suzuki jimmy for the slug truck there’s companies that do conversion for slugging
Is the spray store/fill barn going to be bunded.
Can you clip the piece about inheritance tax up to share on scocial media?
I don't want to push too much smoke up your chimney, however, that was an excellent summary of the consequences of the Labour budget. Actions have reactions, which I doubt they have thought through in carefully enough.
PX FARMS VERY PROFESSIONAL FARMER'S. 🤙 🦊

300k plus minimum wage going up in April to £12.21 😮
Great video as usual but I'm surprised that the increase in the minimum wage is going to hurt you as I would have thought that to get the quality staff you have, you would already be paying above the minimum you are obliged to?
Correct, I’m referring to lifting across the same level
There is a complete lack of understanding in government that farming is a vocation , people do it not for the money...they do it, because they love it and they see themselves as temporary custodians of the farm...this measure will kill the family farm which was already in difficult territoryin terms of viability...great videos
Do you normally roll the fields after drilling if the conditions are right?
Yes
We need farmers more than people realise today they all think everything comes from a supermarket
Seems odd we can't go here or there in towns and cities but everyone can walk all over farms whether allowed or not.
I'm IN Egypt top field will go
Thank you for being prepared to be so candid and informative regarding the effect the budget will have on your enterprise.
I'm getting concerned with your indigestion / acid reflux James, perhaps it's time for a specialist contractor in that Field to check you out.
Great video James well done everyone for working so hard and getting the drilling finished
Congrats on finishing drilling! I reckon trump will settle all the wars soon and hopefully it’ll bring world grain prices back strong
That comment must have come from the Labour Party...hats off to you guys px farms legends
another good one. french farmers know how to deal with there goverment , hope the steaks were good😇, Proper Boss well done
