Thanks for the information. My York Zenith treadmill cuts out after 15 mins or so and you said..."theres a fair chance that your motor is stuffed, possibly your controller....that's a bit of a hard one to tell". I'm sad 😕 that you didn't say how we can sort this problem out - or is my treadmill done and dusted??! Do I need to get a new motor? A new controller? How do I tell which one is bung? Do I need an expert to test them out?? Any additional info would be gratefully received. Thanks. 👍
If you have lubricated the belt and made sure the belt is ok then it will be either the motor overheating after 15 minutes or the controller not supplying power. If the motor feels really hot when it cuts out then it’s definitely the motor. The problem is that the motor could have damaged the control board from continuously drawing too much current in which case you would need to replace both. Best idea is have a tech look at it and test the motor, possibly swap the motor out first and see what happens from there
Thanks for the added information - much appreciated. I'll check if the motor is really hot when it next cuts out, and go from there. But first....I'll lubricate and see how it goes. Again, thanks and take care. @@FitnessEquipmentHowTo
I have the E1 error in my elliptical. Once I plug it in, the display comes on normally, but after about 10 seconds the E1 error shows up and I can’t do anything after that. Any suggestions?
Hi, thanks for the video. My treadmill sometimes starts right away, sometimes it struggles to start with a rattling sound coming from transformer, control board area and error code E1 follows. I tried all the options still the problem persists. Sometimes the treadmill will run perfect with all functions. I recorded that sound. If there is the option of sending the recording I will do that. Thank you.
Unfortunately don’t have the option of receiving videos but if we were diagnosing it I would suggest the following. If the rattling is coming from the motor the motor is definitely faulty. If the rattling is coming from the transformer then the transformer is faulty. It does sound like the transformer is faulty as it would also explain why it will start intermittently, some days will work and others it won’t. These are classic symptoms of a control board that is slowly failing. Hope this helps 💪
When I start the treadmill, I heart the motor sound, but the belt does not move, and E1 error pear on the screen. Would you please know how I can fix that fault. How I can lubricant the treadmill. Thank you for your help.
@abdulzaitoun2006 it sounds like either a motor or control board. If you can hear the motor running it might be the drive belt that’s come off or broken. Take the cover off and see if the motor is turning and if the drive belt is on.
The treadmill works fine. Recently it cuts out immediately when it goes over 4kmh it works fine and does bot stop under 4kmh any ideas what it is magnet is ok ?
Sounds like the motor is cutting out from overheating. This is most likely due to a worn belt and/or worn motor. Try lubricating the belt with silicon spray and see if that makes a difference.
Unfortunately this is a difficult one to diagnose without seeing the machine. This could be a number of things, a faulty speed sensor, faulty motor or worn belt, possibly even a faulty control board.
Hi i have an E1 on a jkexer tredmill we just fixed the motherboard and the error it came up again and first i get the belt with of 8/10 aec and then i get the no belt starting..what can it be please
My Time sport threadmill is giving a E1 error. Sometimes it runs 20+ minutes then the error will pop up. Then burnt smell always coming out at 20+ minutes before the E1 pops up. I already put oil/lubricant in it. But right now. When starting the E1 pops up right away and a "tick" sounds came up before the error show.

Depending on the elliptical sometimes the E1 error is for the tension or resistance motor, if this is the case it will need a new resistance motor. If the speed and distance work before it cuts out I’d say it’s not a speed sensor issue but a resistance issue.

@user-ml3kn4yk9w no worries at all, good luck with it 💪
Thank you very much for your assistance.
You are welcome 👍
So you’re saying that if the control board is stuffed there’s nothing to do? Because you made no elaboration on that at all. Replace it?
Yes replace it 🙂

Bro your issue resolve or not
Yep the magnet was out, thank you very much😁
Awesome. Glad it helped 🙂

How much lubricant is too much? I’ve used half a bottle and I still get the E1 message on my treadmill.
If you’ve used that much and the motor is still cutting out after a while it’s a motor or belt issue, possibly both.
Hi
Thank for the video,
I'm having the 3rd option but also it sudenly running faster than the shown speed
what can it be than?

If the belt runs for 8 seconds and then cuts out it’s a speed sensor issue. If the belt is not starting at all it’s a control board or motor problem
Cheers mate, speed sensor cable was unplugged 😂
Sweet happy it helped 🙂
Alhamdulillah the same happened with me and I fixed it with ur help
Great video
Thank you 🙂

Sounds like the motor is working too hard, might need a new belt and/or motor. Also check the drive belt to make sure it’s not too loose
So helpful, thank you 💜
