Watercolor Tutorial: Simple River Scene. The drawing technique is well-trained and very impressive. Watch now July 24, 2022, rat like. Thank you so much
May I ask you to tell us straight up which colors you are using? I’m old, and it’s hard to watch the whole thing to try and mark down the colors. Also, a quick reference would be FABULOUS when I go to the art store. I teach art to upper grades, and I’m planning on using your tutorials for our first 3 months. I like all your tips! They are very helpful. I also like your work for a class, as my students can all be successful even if they’re not the most accurate at drawing. Some are, but, well, you know how it is.
Hi Claire, Here are the colors used in this particular painting. Cerulean Blue, Royal Blue, Cobalt Blue ,Rose Madder Quinacridone, Pyrrole Red, Raw Sienna, Quinacridone Burnt Orange, Sap Green. Good afternoon from France....with your permission can i try to reproduce your splendid watercolors... whithout.... copyright ;-) thank you in advance for your answer. Continue to make us dream
Thank you for asking. I put my videos out there for instructional purposes. I expect people to paint them and learn from them, but not commercialize them.
It doesn't matter to me if the water is darker in the foreground, middle ground, or background necessarily. It's based on the value structure and composition I choose to use.
You create magic. In love with the greens you've used. Subtle but so effective. You make painting look so easy. Thank you for these
Beautiful 😍

I generally use a waterproof pen for the sketch and paynes gray watercolor for my value study.

Why did you make the background water so much darker than the foreground? Usually it’s the opposite.
