This boss ended up being quite a bit harder to no damage than I was originally expecting, but I suppose that's mostly due to not being used to the game yet. Had a lot of fun with the demo anyway, looking forward to the full game.

Love the skill expression in this game. Parrys, dodges, parry counters into special moves into finishers. Good stuff.

Played the demo and I have to say, out of all the many souls like this actually feels pretty good. The combat has some weight to it and some cool moves. The movement doesn't feel terribly floaty like a lot of souls like tend to be. Getting to reset your skill tree to try out other weapons is great because actual souls games run into the issue of players sticking to one weapon because they invested a lot of upgrade material into one weapon and don't feel like being punished for trying a new weapon. Give the demo a try if you haven't
I mean this the best way possible, but it gives me Code Vein with more Berserk DNA vibes and instead of souls-borne style gameplay they went for Sekiro-esque combat.
i am not fan of anime lookin games. but this game convienced me to preorder... its amazing souls-like game with cool animations, graphics, combat, and also i am interested in story.
this was enjoyable to watch hopefully you'll upload more of it
I finished the demo just now and the blade phantom is the most badass fight I’ve seen in a while can’t wait to have the money to pre order it.
Wow. This game reminds me of Berserker, looks amazing, plays very well and the characters already look impressive!
Really enjoyed the demo and surprisingly the sound design impressed me the most. Just very crisp and pretty fitting for a game titled "The first Berserker".
I'm just thinking how insane this boss would be if it had Lies of P parry timing. I love this demo because its still challenging but reasonable and theres enough of a parry window where you can feel like a beast without spending 1000 hours to master the timing down to the millisecond.

Played this demo yesterday totally blind about what this game is and was very impressed. I've never played any souls or souls like game before but perhaps this might make me try one out for the first time

The first descendant is a grind fest, but in my opinion, the gameplay loop is pretty good and it definitely hooked me. Not to mention how the developers communicate with the community and actually do what they ask. If division two had this type of communication and willingness to do what the community wanted division two could have been huge. The first descendant has so many quality of life features the community has been asking for implemented sense launch. It's really incredible how the developer is listening to its players and implementing as much as they can. I don't play a Whole lot of live service games but those that I have played. I have never seen communication and the willingness to work with the community the way nexon is and I did not expect that from this company. Because of that and my enjoyment of the gameplay loop, I have supported the game both with my time and financially. South korea is pumping out some quality games of late without any politics.And I appreciate that, and will support it
I just beat the demo, holy shit this boss is a masterpiece!! Hilariously enough this boss only took me 3 tries while i died over and over again to the Yeti 😂

Is the game a good game ovr all? I’ve been waiting for it.
From the demo so far it's excellent. Only the two bosses, but the combat is solid and flows very nicely, and easy to test out the different weapons

i didn’t like the bloated dmg numbers. the great sword felt off because the animations. sound design is too much stock effects. invisible line that triggers enemies to attack, range of detection is ridiculously far for player and npc and can’t toggle individual hud. lastly felt too easy and unrewarding
Really don't like the barbie ponytail but other than that, no complaints.

Partially, the combat is waaay more aggressive. There are a lot of hack'n slash elements implemented. However don't expect the same level of exploration than Elden Ring. This game is linear and follows a mission structure.
