    He didn’t quite say that he won’t sell LNG to Chinese buyers, he said that he doesn’t want to enter a long term contract because he doesn’t trust them. At least there is a CEO who calls things by their name without being afraid of “upsetting China” (or actually the CCP), unlike the spineless CEOsof several US big banks.

      he doesn't trust them? really? come on. tell me one time the chinese tore up a contract. in the last several years china has signed thousands of contracts around the world. not one of them has been broken. now tell me one time the u.s. tore up a contract. i'll give you 100 tries, and almost any agreement you name will be a correct answer. just about any contract, treaty, agreement, etc. the u.s. has ever signed has been broken by them. the u.s. is the one that definately can't be trusted. also, in case you don't know, the official name of china is "the people's republic of china". now if you are talking about the political party that is in control of the government, it's official name is "the communist party of china". it doesn't matter what you or anyone else calls it, facts are facts and some of us live in the real world ran by adults. not grade school bullies on a school playground engaged in name calling and insults. a little side note about a person like you. last week at a movie theater while waiting on popcorn a guy was talking to someone about a movie on a poster that featured a korean actor in a korean movie. he thought the guy was chinese and was telling his friend how he never buys chinese products, which in itself is impossible unless you live off grid with no electronics, or house hold items and wear shoes and clothing made from buffalo and moose and eat possum innards, but then what really got me was the fact that we were in an amc movie theater. amc is owned by a chinese investor. i didn't have the heart to tell the fool.

    What a joke he is, saying it’s difficult for his conscience to sell LNG at current market prices to clients in Africa, but he had no such problems paying himself a 142 million dollar salary, making him the highest pays CEO in the US.

    • @avgjoe-cz7cb
      @avgjoe-cz7cb Рік тому

      When $LNG ousted him, he had made plenty of money out of his hard work. The board treated him like Caesar and stabbed him in the back but with a golden parachute. He just sold this past week Millions of dollars to keep this project alive. Do your research, save me the trouble of explaining. Watch again from 9:45

      @@avgjoe-cz7cbirst of all, it is correct that he paid himself 142 million as CEO, making him the highest paid CEO in the US in that year.
      Second, what you are stating here has nothing to do with the point I was making.
      Third “Hard Work” you must be joking. Souki was trying to build an LNG import terminal and when it was almost finished the market has turned and the US didn’t need any LNG imports but had surplus gas, so Souki turned it into an export terminal. He was the first to do that, I give him that, but he was also incredibly lucky that the US did find shale gas which could be exported. Souki, didn’t understand the market then and doesn’t understand the market today.
      The new Cheniere shareholders were not impressed of Souki so they let him go.
      His Tellurian developed is totally stuck, whereas most other planned LNg export terminals have had their FID and moved into construction
      You must be one of Souki’s incompetent sons, so do your research before posting falsehoods

      Basically he was saying that China would be in trouble if the rest of the world boycott China. This is a big if that will never happen. This idiot forgot that China itself is the biggest producer of many basic food items such as grains and soy beans. China is also one of the biggest producer of oil and the biggest miner of coal by far. How many people realize that he just sold 15 million shares, over half of his ownership, as collateral on a private real estate deal? His company has no offtake, no funding and no prospects of either. Its likely headed for BK. If some deep pockets equity investor wanted to own an LNG project here in the Gulf Coast, there are many of them to choose from.
