I’ve always will love this style of Art and painting. Hours and hours of looking at Albert’s work and never get bored seeing all the details.
Same here. His paintings are magical, nearly (?) over the top dramatic. The composition in combination with light effects and atmospheric perspective are insanely good. Love Bierstadt!
Totally agree.
The way he captures light in his landscapes is simply stunning ,,, he definitely is my favourite landscape artist ,, thanks for posting ,,

@@MysteriousMrS1 You're welcome ☺!
Beautiful sharing friend😃✌️.
Bierstadt has been a favorite of mine for many decades. I incorporated aspects of his art in one of my paintings, which paid homage to great masters of the past, and Albert appeared as a character in my Historical Novel - A BLAZING GILDED AGE. His art was the pinnacle of landscape painting in his age, and is extremely hard to surpass.
Awesome! Thanks for the info Rich!

Wow! So a little Synchronicity here, i just joined your channel today because of the whole Airship mystery you fearure on your channel. Someone gave me a small painting at work the other day. Its an obvious photo of a much larger one, nevertheless it is still a damn good one. However as i am watching this video im thinking wow this Albert Bierstadt is quite the Artist. I began to think his art looks alot like the style of the painting that was given to me. I jump up take the painting down and turned over and yep its a Bierstadt. The title is Lake Lucerne. By Albert Bierstadt
So awesome! Bierstadt is one of the best landscape painters of all time.
One of the best painters in the world.

What historical books would you recommend that talk about his life?
There are many books with images of his paintings, but if you want a deep-dive into Albert Bierstadt as a person as well as images of his paintings, I recommend, "Albert Bierstadt: Witness to a Changing West" by,
Peter H. Hassrick
@@MysteriousMrS1 thank you so much

❤
I have a small painting he did during Queen Victoria's jubilee while he was in Britain.
That is amazing! I would love to see an image.
@@MysteriousMrS1 I can send you a photo if you wish. It features two small terrier dogs doing ratting in a cellar. I researched it. The canvas is from London and has the business address and date. I think the Jubilee was an occasion for a get together with his old German naturalist friends of his younger years.
thank you albert for inspiring rockstar to create red dead 2. the best video game of all time
Why is this delightful video narrated by Darth Vader?
Sorry, just my lovely voice... I'm not your father.
Wasnt he german?
Yes, he was born in Germany, but grew up in America and became a famous artist working out of his New York studio.
Wonderful paintings The name is German.
Manque une traduction dommage !
Lo siento, estoy de acuerdo, las traducciones serían ideales. Pronto agregaré subtítulos a mis videos.
Fue el primer Bob Rosa…..
German painter🇩🇪❤️
Yes. He's amazing!
His story makes me sad for a
Some reason.
No question about it. Such magnificent artistry, but lost his wife, lost his home, lost his studio. It also makes me reflect on how short life is and how things constantly change.
I was thinking and thinking , and then i realised , i lost my home when my mother died , so something in me resonates withthat.
Thanks for your perspective. You might also be interested in my video on Bierstadt's Hudson River School contemporary, Thomas Cole.
I will check it out 😃
