My wife and I have the same question. I currently have a Philips Everflo (Respironics) and it runs at about 78 to 82 decibels. I want to be able to hear the Inogen unit before I consider purchasing one.
I have one of these concentrators and so far really like it. I've only had it for three weeks and it's been running 24/7 since day one, settings 2 and 3 . I find the flow rate is good and keeps right up with my needs at those settings. Is it LOUD in a word No. I have a DeVilbiss 10 liter machine which is loud on same settings. The DeVilbiss also sucks up electricity runs at 500 to 600 watt drawl where the Inogen uses 125 to 200 watts. It's nice to not have the constant background noise from the DeVilbiss, the Inogen can be heard but it much more tolerable.
Our heart goes out to India. Though we cannot ship the units internationally, we are there to help however we could. For international shipping / purchase options please contact the manufacturers (Inogen, Philips Respironics, CAIRE, ResMed, Invacare or DeVilbiss) directly.
Why do they not turn the machine on to see how LOUD it is?
Thanks for your feedback.
