Friend- 'You're a percussionist in an orchestra right?’
Percussionist- 'Yep.'
Friend- 'What do you play?'
Percussionist- 'Field Artillery.'
wow 😂😂😂why doesn't this comment have more likes? lol
I needed a good laugh after today. Thank you.
lmao
Funiest part is the older you get the more you start to respect this type of music :P
I first became interested in classical music through Tom and Jerry and looney tunes when I was tiny. I’ve listened to this type of music on and off for the following 30 years. Tears roll sometimes especially towards the end of this piece. Incredible stuff.
I want this to be played at my wedding! I mean...imagine walking through the aisle in the church to this :D and then KABOOOM. awesome.
Great Idea!
Me too!
Tempting, but it's a bit long - and you /need/ the lead-in, for it to have the proper effect.
You’ve just gave me the perfect idea.
"So you play in an orchestra ? What instrument ?"
"The cannons"
Trinitrotoluene, haha
Xiangming Xie TNT in b flat
+Tommaso Pintus xDD
Such a great ending that part 2 has more views than 1. None of my 2 part videos pre-limitless uploads ever did that.
This is quite possibly the best performance of this piece I've ever seen. Simply amazing.
One of the pieces that made me see how wonderful this music gerne is. I will love Tchaikovsky forever for his beautiful music
Whenever I see a standing ovations like that, I wish the composer could be standing there in front of the orchestra to see the appreciation of their greatness and the gift they've given all of us. Thank you, Tchaikovsky!
With love from Russia !!!!
I’ve heared this performed by the Halle orchestra a few times and it still moves and thrills me I love it
Trust me, you're not the only teenager that loves this kind of music :)
Please give thumbs up for the Halle! I am from the City of Lincoln in the UK and the Halle perform every year in our cathedral! I am so proud! Magnificent!
for some reason i always end up crying towards the end of this song, so beautiful!!!
So do I O_o And it gives me butterflies in my stomach and so many emotions!!!! My dad conducts an orchestra and I play violin in it and we're hoping to be doing this next year :D We have just finished performing Beethoven's Third and Elgar's Enigma Variations :)!
Crumply Pumples
how wonderful, i love the violin, envious i could never get it to make a sound other than static, good luck to your father, i am sure his music is lovely
maybe because it's not a song
Veni Vidi Vici beethoven❤❤
Join the club.
It is so much to the credit of the great Halle orchestra and Mark Elder that it sounds as if they were playing it for the first time - such exuberant fun!
I also think the organ player deserves a medal - with all those explosions going off right behind him and still playing on...!
If you aren't emotionally affected by this in some way you have no soul.
😢🥹😭Just a beautiful masterpiece ❤️ Brings not just one tear ,But floods just listening 😭🥹🎇🎆🎇🎆🎇
My fav song since 6 years old.. now 21 and still amazing to hear it :D
This is the shit ever.
I got so crazy excited listening to this!! Love it!
The best *timed* explosions I've heard in any performance of this piece (and sound-managed too). It _needs_ explosions, but attempts with real cannon are almost always not quite on time, and also they knock the recording equipment off for half a second or so. This one's the best compromise I've found so far.
Great!
Tchaikovsky is SO underrated.
Everybody becomes a fan while they're acquiring their love of classical music, Then they forget how great he really is.
i always cry to the beauty of this wonderful finale
I am listening to this for the very first time in it's entirety and there are tears coming down my cheeks, so powerful, so emotional, just brilliant. Real music.
The greatest composer who brought a amazing piece !!!
3:57 with full volume on my headphones. YES
For anyone who doesn't know, This piece tells the story of Napoleon and Russians and French and the main theme at 4:57 is the French army. Read the story on it, each section of the piece represents a different part of the story :)!
+Crumply Pumples We know that already. I suppose you believe that the Irish are stupid. Go back to your crumply pumply pillows and think/dream on. We're the last outpost before America - just Putin's helipad.
Can't Wait! xxx Mo (L.R.A.M.)
Maureen Redmond I don't have a clue where you got the "I suppose you believe the Irish are stupid" from but I assure you I do not and I also did not know you were Irish if you are? Why so offended? Does extra information overload the ol' brain?
The song was made to celebrate that the tiranny of an idiot who tried to fuck up the freedom of the people couldn’t destroy the greatness of the zarism
@Maureen Redmond what a cuntish statement in response to someone sharing knowledge.
One of the BEST performances I've ever experienced! Thanks!
Here I am again, listening to "the balls of all music"... A Fantastic masterpiece. Thank you Mr. Tchaikovsky!!!
Needs more cowbe- I mean cannon.
Nah, cowbell wouldn't hurt!!!
good one !!!!!!!!
from 0:18 to 1:00 you can hear the genius of Tchaikovsky , the master orchestrator.
It’s actually 0:00 to 7:15
@@captainantilles9094 Yeah. Even including the applause and the commentaries! Lol
Amazing, breathtaking, almost brought a tear to my eyes. I turned the speakers all the way up. Not much music really hits you like this does. I would have killed to be there for that performance!
As a schoolboy in Manchester, every year we were taken to the Free Trade Hall for a concert by Manchester's Hallé Orchestra. After one concert I went out and bought an LP of the New World Symphony by Dvorak. The Hallé Orchestra's version was mind blowing! This is classic Hallé. One of the world's greatest orchestras!
любимый Чайковский!
4:57 Ecstasy!!
Haha! That's the perfect word👌
The coomentator summed it beautifully....
Big finishes don't come any bigger than that.
Masterpiece with thrills and chills!
I listen of this song when I'm doing homework it seems to help me a lot :D! BEST THING EVER!
I agree with every one! I'm gonna say it
"I CANT GET ENOUGH!!!"
OMG best thing ever!
I love Tchaikovsky's power in this peice...every time I hear it no matter what foul mood I may be in it always makes me feel tones better.
Still makes me weep like a baby. Just awesome
I love this more than anything - I've played it at least 50 times and I'm still not sick of it - but story goes that PIT actually hated 1812 himself. He was commission to compose 'an overture' by Nikolai Rubinstein in 1876 for the opening of Moscow Cathedral in 1880. The cathedral wasn't finished until 1882, by which time Rubinstein was dead. He wasn't actually persuaded to write the piece until 1880. Quote PIT: "it is without love and feeling." So this is what happens when he doesn't try.
YESSSSSSSS!!!!! THIS IS MY FUCKIN SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
EVERY time I hear the crescendo I shed tears. This music is so powerful.
MY God, this is glorious.
Theres nothing like the 1812 to yank a mans soul from his body. Raise to the ceiling.... Let his little leg legs hang there doing the merry dance.....And just at the time you know its about to end...Boom,Bang,Bang those cannons rocket right through the heart and splattered against the walls, your mind falls to your those merry dancing feet....Still as elastic.... Its all over when all the remaining pieces snap back into the flesh....And you know, you just know.....You just know where you been to others cant explain it for you!
This like my favorite song ever! AWESOME! And I'm only 11!
Wilson Li nice
YES ITS A PIECE NOT A SONG
Wilson Li 🎵it's a small world after all🎵
its amazing how a peice of music be 15 minutes long and you can still enjoy every minute of it
This made me tear up. Beautiful performance.
4:40 the epicness begins.
Where's the kaboom? There was supposed to be an Earth-shattering kaboom!
Not a real cannon :( Just gunpowder and lights
little trinitrotoluenes!
Well, I was 12 years old when listened this Work at fist time. Now, 34 years later, I still love this magnific composition.
From around 5:00 onwards the best finale in all music, not just classical, but any genre!
am i the only black person that loves orchestra???
am I the only Puerto Rican that loves orchestra??? ;)
am i the only filipino person who loves orchestra???
William Caballero No, you are not. ;)
Am I the only Pacific islander that likes classical? lol

v for vendetta.
I swear the finale gives me chills everytime. I love that low brass
Tcha..1812 most incredible performance ever!!! Wow wow wow i repeat, never a piece of history was explained better... amazing.
V for Vendetta brought me here
The flashbangs were completely off the rythm LOL
It's supposed to be. ;)
Most people think that. According to the score, they are correct.
To the conductor and fantastic musicians in this, and other, performances - thank you for your years of study and hours and hours of practice, just so we can listen and watch and be lifted up so high. Thank you.
Love it! This is my most absolute favorite piece of classical music EVER, since I was young. I've heard it so many times I know it perfectly. But the one thing I always wanted to do is hear it live! That's my goal.
I'm on the verge of crying!! This is so good
Love this. Spectacular recording, presentation, and playing.
I think half of the 516,000 views are from me. I have been in love with this piece for over 28 years (I'm 31), and I'm not sure I've ever heard better. Every hair on my body stood on end from the opening bar onward. These folks are absolutely amazing. It couldn't possibly get any better.
one of the best deliveries of the 1812 overture!
Probabley one of the best classical masterpieces ever
The Halle are the best orchestra ever!I watched them with Sir John! Classic! No other orchestra comes close! And I stand by my comment above!
That was epic and brought tears to my eyes.
Great performance! Bravo Mr. Elder! Tempo, sound , balance on this so difficult piece of music. Excellent.!
A few years ago I had the 1812 Overture on a CD and while driving to work, I would play it so that the finale would begin just as I was in the company parking lot. It was invigorating!
Bravo! wish I was there! This is beautiful!!
So perfect! I just love his music!
I'm a big fan of this awesome piece of music myself, and I think that my favorite part is the cannons; they really make this symphony totally epic I just love it!
there is not a rock song on the planet that powerful. what an excellent performance.
AH! this song just fills me with such delight I cant explain the feeling!!!!
DDefinately do it. I'm 15 and do this reguarly with my family. These are brilliant concerts!
Great storytelling!
Also, the cut between part one and two was very sensibly chosen. Thank you!
The best kind of music I have ever heard.
An amazing performance by the City of Manchester's world famous Halle Orchestra at The Proms in the Royal Albert Hall in London! Spectacular!
i'm seriously sobbing while listening to this...THIS is music!
Don't you just love the grins on the faces of the players as they listen to the applause!
exelente adoro la música de Tchaicovsky, saludos de Perú
I love how the crowd couldn't wait until the end of the piece to get on their feet and start applauding!
just listen to the very well deserved applause! gives you goosebumps.
We performed an excerpt from this is our last band concert. We loved performing it!!!!! This piece is awesome!!!!!!!
It's going to take more than 20 minutes for the goose bumps to go away for me.
Thank you so much for posting this. Amazing as usual.
Absolutely, unbelievably awesome!
One of the things that get to me about concerts like this is the stillness of the members of the orchestra, while their instruments blast away.
absolutely stonking! And all praise to that bass trombanost!
OMG i love this concerts !Just wonderful!
Outstanding - simply outstanding!
Wow ! Very very good indeed. Good overture, good music and great performance. So, happy to listen to it.
Such a fantastic piece. Love it.
always feels better after listening to this
this was probably the best iv'e ever heard this being played! bravo
Many thanks to the poster for this excellent piece of music!
I enjoyed seeing the instruments play this. I would love to see it in person, but this will do for now. Absolutely fantastic! Thank you for sharing!
wow that was simply amazing what a way to get one up and motivated to face the day.
This is the greatest piece of music ever written. Period.
falling stars and hear a fanfare, extraordinary.
This is sublime, gives me goosebumps.
love this song finale, so strong and pure
I've heard other versions of this with cannon shots but these shots are the best.
We played this classic composition in our high school symphonic band, some fifty-plus years ago. I played trombone, and was also one of the cannoneers for the finale.
We used 12 guage double barreled shotguns, with the pellets removed. I can't imagine doing that in a high school auditorium, in this day and age. The health and safety liabilities alone, not to mention the possible litigation exposure it would create, are staggering.
Still, it always warms my heart when I hear it. Takes me back to a time when the world in some respects, was a much better place. And, as a people we strove to be a better human race. Funny how music has a way of doing that.
