Well those live action vids are live action, they dont have any editing whatsoever rather than background and stage effects so this has a better value because of how it is edited.

To add more anime style, i think should focus more on the last hit scene, maybe add some flashback story while hitting the ball, few different angles while hitting back, few angles focusing the ball flying away and the crowd reaction watching the ball fly away, then maybe some silence slo-mo scene staring at the flying away ball, slo-mo throwing away the bat, the bat dropping on the floor slo-mo and start the home run.
Don't forget a slow motion blood curdling scream of passion when hitting the ball. Ever see giant robot anime? The hero's scream the last hit.....and anyone who doesn't know, they're just pressing a button.
Damn the live action ruined the Anime and Manga! They made Jonathan Nerdguy the main character when in the Anime and Manga it was Dodger! They completely skipped the high school formal dance scene which was a major point in the Anime where Dodger admits his love for Suki Meyashakiaway , the antagonist sister. also he didn't die! that blow only temporarily knocked a disk out of his spin resulting him being in a wheelchair for the 3rd and 4th Arc. which really strengthen the bond between Dodger and Johnathan Nerdguy. oh well, I heard they are going to do a reboot movie which will stick closer to the source material. it will be about Arcs 5 through 10 and have three parts! Arc 6 is where Jebediah Batswinger comes in, a big time fan favorite who uses two bats! it should come out year so I'm super hyped!!!!

Yeeeeah, this is basically anime in a nutshell, and I love every moment of it. Though most anime kinda leave off with a stupid cliffhanger with no hope of a second season.... so this is probably a bit better in that regard. If this was TRULY anime baseball, then it would have ended with dodger in a coma in the hospital and a huge tournament coming up lol.
1:08 A gyroscope would either just make the ball heavier or make it better balanced for a straighter throw. The exact opposite depicted in this video. I know its all in jest, but here is something that would make the ball unpredictable. If you take a motor and attach a heavy rod to the spinning part, this makes the whole thing wobble in the air. When stuck in a baseball, such a contraption would make the ball wobble, too. It would not be as visible, and wouldn't leave a firey trail, but it would still be much harder to hit than a normal ball. However, this wobbly motion means it would also be VERY hard to throw accurately, as it would try to jump out of your hands, and would take an unpredictable flight. Throwing it into the catchers mitt would take extreme skill and practice. Anyway, WONDERFUL VIDEO!!!!
