Nicky Ryan is a beast. Great to see uncle Craig give him support through the event, it's really fun to watch these guys operate with a multi prong coaching scheme. This is a great behind the scenes look at how a team operates at a big event. No, not the best outcomes, but frankly the matchups were pretty stacked against b-team.
It's great that Nicky and Craig came out of the toxicity that is Gordon Ryan as good pals who keep each other's backs.

You have a point, they probably should all choose their mat coach ahead of time, mostly just Nicky since everyone else should be choosing Nicky as their comp coach, the man is a phenom.

Mental fatigue is a very real thing. IMO it's best to keep your best coaches mentally fresh by rotating them out.
But, I do agree with having predetermined coaches and having Nicky Ryan as one of the primary coaches, the kid is a genius.
Relating so much with jay rod in every video it really makes me question if I have autism (he is the best grappler)

Haisam v Peña seems like such a huge mismatch. Peña is at weird point in his career where there aren’t too many guys he hasn’t faced/beaten and he ain’t getting any younger. (Lowkey reminds me of RDA in the UFC.) legit racking my brain trying to think of anyone new that makes it interesting 🧐
I think Haisam might need to take a step back in competition to get develop new skills, as well as highlights.Which to me is what all these local ADCC opens are great for, It’s been working great for Oliver Taza and his wrestling. Also does help contribute to ADCC seeding

Seems like too many people cornering and shouting instructions! I think Danaher's method of cornering is most effective: i.e., just say what needs to be said (always in a calm tone of voice) and help them keep time. Just my opinion, take or leave. I know nothing! lol

From a technical standpoint, it sort of looks like rolling around on the ground seems like too much of a gamble. Taking an opponent down and controlling them seems like a better situation for success.
