with RICHARD WHITELEY and CAROL VORDERMAN NIGEL REES and DELLA THOMPSON in Dictionary Corner Edition 560 Series 12 from Yorkshire Television on Chaannel 4
I used to love countdown as a child, used to be fascinated by the clock and the music! I loved the colourful sets they had in those days too, a lot nicer than the boring blue backdrop they have these days!
Jon Marsh of the Beloved. I had heard somewhere that he'd appeared on this back then and did well on it to appear on 9 shows in total. And the bit where Richard Whiteley says to him "Your record better be a hit after all this", he'd only have to wait about 2 years before he got his first hit.
Sad I know, but I always got excited when I saw an ending like this when the camera panned out so you could see the full set with it tapering down at the sides.

Ah, the days when the caption colour matched the background of the set...
great find, hope you find more countdown.
Another way to get 222:
25x10=250,
3x6=18,
2x5=10,
18+10=28,
250-28=222.
Very good, that’s lovely. 😁
Have you got the full episode please
Treasure Hunt at the end. Do you have that full clip?
