I could understand this platform being used to offload before heading to the yard, but I wonder why this happened before going back west again without taking any passengers. I haven't been there in years, but is McCowan so busy to a point where a empty train is needed at SC station?

McCowan is literally never busy, one of the least used stations. Also read desc
@@UnrealPhantom Ellesmere Is The Least Used Station On Line 3, McCowan is the 2nd least used. Scarborough Centre Is The Biggest excluding Kennedy.

Yo!!! That is so rare, how did you even go to the other platform there since it's been rarely used.
For about a week or so they were using that platform to let passengers on and off due to a switch problem

@@finalhawkeye Yeah they couldn't because the switch that changed the track to the other platform wasn't working
