    To have brackets between the 4 and 2 would help a lot.

    (9) 4 + 4 / 2 =6 first divide 4 by 2=2 4 + 2 =6 rule of math division or multiplication first, then adding or subtraction

      It's simple :
      In any counting exists an order of mathematical operations You need to follow.
      Multiplication ( dividing) goes first, and only then when
      this is done, you can continue
      with counting or subtracting...
      Go to Wikipedia, ask for order
      of mathematical operations....
      They are actually many more..
      but not terribly more....
      Brackets (several types),
      powers, square (and other)
      roots....
      Wiki tells you more....
      .....good luck...
      At the end, it's not that bad...
      Learning in grades 3-7
      contains all about basics...
