Mexico City receives two condors from San Diego

- SAN DIEGO -- Two male California condors received a big welcome from Mexico after traveling more than 1,800 miles (2,917 km) from the San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park to their new home at the Chapultepec Zoo late last week.

Outstanding! Not many people can say they've seen a free flying condor. We actually have 15 condors flying free now in the Sierra San Pedro de Martir National Park. There is one egg out there and we hope soon we'll have a chick!

u right on that one, there is I believe 4-5 flying in that reserve. It is a remarkable area, I had the oportunity to visit about 3 yrs ago
The California condor was found as far south as Baja California, Mexico. They are now released back into this area at the Sierra San Pedro de Martir National Park in pristine habitat.
