for the normal mission, there's one that says view a characters self intro by viewing their profile, I've been playing for 2 months but i still dunno where to view self intros :(
go to character rank, pick a character , tap in one of the missions and in the top corner there is a small button. tap that and it will show the self intro

This helped a lot! I just have one question: Is there a specific way that you have to read the storyline? Cuz i remember the game suggesting a way to continue it but i accidentally skipped it.
You need to read the units main story first and then continue with the event story, technically follow the order from the first ever story until the end. Its ok if you skipped a story or episode you can still read it again.
It depends how lucky you are. Birthdays and 4* are basically the same thing but birthday banners have a limit of 100pulls which can guarantee the card.

Crystals are used to pull on gacha banners. You should save them up for your favorite cards bc you never know if you will get them or not
Paid crystals are received when you use money to buy crystals, you can use them to wish on special banners

Every card is good as long as you invest enough on them. And yes even I have difficulty with easy charts lol
