Hey everyone, just wanted to put up this pinned comment to address the red X that seems to be on the screen sometimes. As of last week I downloaded a new plugin to help my editing, if you watch my other videos, you'll probably notice that there are some new effects in this video that I haven't used before. In editing, I saw the red X during those effects, but thought when I rendered/exported they would disappear, and I didn't check the video before uploading. I'll make sure it won't happen again in future uploads

It's absolutely bizarre to me that the United States can recognize that children cannot consent to ads. Yet they are exploited with family channels and the like left and right. Can they consent to them? Make it make sense.
I don’t disagree with you but I’ll say that kids usually stick with what they know/love. I’m not sure if the ads are for the kids as much as it’s for the parents in a “hey give us a shot, put us on the TV - we’ve got good content too” kinda way. I would think that most kids don’t control the family TV’s remote either but maybe it’s different nowadays. I don’t even consent to ads but I’m still exposed to them with almost everything I do online and off. I pay a bill - get notices for service enhancement. I open an app, ads litter the bottom. Finally someone talks about musically, I feel like the app had its fair share of problems but I never seen people discussing it like where today people always talk about TikTok and it’s problems more, I’m glad people are more aware about it
During the don’t judge me challenge, I remember coming across a video made by one of the users, a male, who by the existing standards of beauty, did not match up, however, this person did not make a “before” and “after” transition, he remained the exact same in both “slides”. The message was “this is who I am, I will not change the way I look or dress, this is me, my before and after are the same, so don’t judge me for being me”. A person with a small following, not much traction. This person was getting bullied left right and centre, people calling him “ugly” and a “fat f*ck”. Some guy had also made a similar comment and this kid replied that he didn’t care the way he looked or the guy (bully) did, that he’s more interested in getting to know the personality. To this, a random chick drops in the middle of the conversation and says something like “I would rather f*ck him (the bully) than you” And the kid replied “I wouldn’t f*ck your disgusting ass for free. No, it would be a cold day in hell” Absolute madlad. And by the way, these were all kids, they appeared to be between 12 and 15 years. As someone who had gotten access to the internet fairly early (in 2006), and also access to social medias and phones (2010), from my experience I really, genuinely believe that the internet is not a place for kids, they have no business being here. I have witnessed first hand encounters of child grooming and harassment by predators, these victims were my friends, in my age group. It never appeared to any of them as a wrong thing, rather, would start an ego war especially between the girls to see who would get the most “likes” or “messages” or any similar form of validation from adults. These were the girls from 8th grade, 9th grade, and the men were in their 20s, senior year kids in their colleges, married men, men in their 30s. And these girls never realised they were victims, not even today. They were rather boastful and proud. Teenage is already a weird time, then came schools to add the salt to the wound. You then top it all with social media, you get a disaster. Yes, the internet can be used productively. I personally found solace in music, I used it to learn the guitar, play videogames and watch anime/music concerts. I genuinely used it in a fulfilling way, while most of my friends simply used it for seeking attention and self gratification, and this really damaged their self respect and harmed their personality. They became violent, rude and borderline maniacal. Again, parental “controls” are useless. You can never fully control what your child does all day, or on the internet. Especially in today’s era of hyperinflation where a family has no other choice than have both the parents work to make money. The kids are left alone. Nothing can be done in such a situation.
very nicely narrated and edited video, your content is a snack, and much like how you described the development of the app, your content is very easily consumable. very smooth and easy to pay attention to. you have a great voice. smooth work my dude, props to you.
Nah, UA-cam just doesn't trust viewers with their own feelings ... but it's too late for me to stop watching it now, because I'm one of those people who gets very agitated if I don't have access to the internet
getting messages like this was known as normal growing up, and we just ignored them, because of dumb riddles and stuff saying if you didn’t send it to someone else you’d die, we stayed away from those messages, these new kids seem to think it was that easy to message an influencer, i think this has a lot to do with parenting.
The thing that passes me off about coppa to this day is that you can blame the platforms for getting kids information when literally the protected group is below the minimum age to use the platform. The way I see it that's on parents 🤷♂️
Yeah but at the same time they should have been doing more as a platform to recognise when children were using the app and ban them from doing so, such as requiring proof the person is the age they say are and not letting them make an account until that proof is shown. It’s a problem that most social media platforms have and don’t take seriously enough.
@@miufke_ but not every parent will. They are and will always be parents who don’t understand the dangers of the internet and/or refuse to acknowledge them, and that’s why it’s important for platforms to recognise this. To put safety measures in place and enforce them very strictly; Children who are failed by their parents don’t deserve to be failed by the system too.
@@miufke_ yes it’s on the parents but when does it also become the company’s problem musically ads showed kids so you would think the company would take measures to protect them online
I remember this app so much but I never knew all the drama that came with it since I really didn’t use it like that or even to talk to anyone since I was always told don’t talk to people on it from my mom 😂

Jeez, I remember musically, my sister used to make videos there and was a bit annoying tbh. This was during her early middle school year. Seeing her being sucked into her phone while trying to spend time with her was just aggravating. She became a lot more mean to me and would push me away. Part of it was also a nasty group of girls she tried hanging out with but used her as their emotional punching bag while she already had problems of her own. Fortunately she's changed over those months after cutting all contact with them and social media. Years later she is now a really great person to be around with. Our sibling relationship is now more powerful than ever along with our two brothers. (Mostly from severe traumatic events that's still a little bit on going but will FINALLY end soon! but no, not getting into that.)
i remember multiple older men would send me pictures and leave comments and when thinking back on it it was so under regulated and awful that children were on the app.
@12:39 Musically's codebase still sits on your phone. Of course it's now the backend for Tiktok which is probably adressed in the remaining 6 minutes of this video.
Just wanted to drop this comment real quick. The first few seconds!!!! I legit actually, legitimately 100% absolutely fkk hated that “move the camera up down left right” thing, and I can’t believe I have to relive it again😩☠️ like that was the thorn in my eye for years
14:57 this haunts me bc when I was like 6/7 my friend and I were dancing around a shi, I never been on UA-cam and my face and body was NOT allowed to be on ANY platform so my school etc couldn’t post me on their website or anything. My friends dad thought it was a great idea I guess to post the video of us dancing onto UA-cam. Few kids saw that video and genuinely changed me and scared me because they were asking something I didn’t know about or how it got there and I was just wondering constantly who else saw that video…
Yeah the killing stalking tag was a korean psychological thriller webtoon of the same name that contained some disturbing scenes. There was a lot of people that loved it and shipped the two main characters, which is where the vids came from. It was edgy teens and tweens being fans of a fked up comic.
I remember using this app trying to get popular at first then just deleting and reinstalling it to do the celebrities challenges and paying tribute to Christian and finally deleting the app for good. Now I just watch tiktok videos on UA-cam
The fact that my sister used musicly when she was deadass 6 and my parents didn't know enough then so they allowed it...crazy what kind of people wherre out there geez
this issue is definitely worse now. this is the reason i hate tik tok. the users get younger and younger. the dances get more vulgar. i get there are videos with good information, interesting videos, not vulgar videos, but look at the difference it is not hard to tell what is going on at this point. they are worrying more about money than the youth
the killing stalking tag is probably ( most likely ) related to the webcomic of the same name. it is a psychological thriller that shows stuff like kidnapping, torture, stuff like that

If you want more content on TikTok, maybe you should look into the fact that it's about to be banned in the US. 22 of the 50 states have already passed a full ban, at least 1 state and Washington D.C. has passed a law about the app not being allowed on any state owned devices. Just a thought
I think you've got it backwards. Only one state has a full ban on TikTok - Montana. That was signed into law yesterday and will take place on January 1st, 2024. It's facing legal challenges however due to the 1st ammendment. As of April of 2023 it has been banned from state employees in 34 out of the 50 states. This ban also includes federal employees as well. Some states have also banned TikTok on state college campuses that are owned by the state on their Wi-Fi system but they can access it via mobile networks still. The United States is considering a fill ban of TikTok but it's going to face a massive uphill battle due to the 1st Ammendment. But I do think you're absolutely right that this would be a great video idea! And also including other countries who have banned it as well for various reasons & why. It varies wildly deping on the nation.
@@OliveDasi with all the data theif and pedophiles and families exploting their children shouldn't be too ban it completely one day. There is literally nothing on that app that can be defined. I swear UA-cam shorts and Instagram reels are what feels like a replacement already. Glad I never downloaded tiktok😅
@@toxiczombiewolf5692 I don't even use social media except if you can count UA-cam comments. I previously had Twitter for about 6 months and it destroyed my mental health. It did so much good to be rid of all of it. No matter what the platform however, you will have horrific content uploaded. Some platforms will obviously be worse than others based on how their moderation is handled. Unless we have harsh penalty, and I mean a percentage of revenue rather than a $10,000 fine to a multi billion dollar corporation, then content like this will exist. If you only have to pay 0.00001% of your net worth you can literally make in seconds then why worry about it? It sounds cynical, and I absolutely think it's disgusting, but it's the logic of most corporations. Money = logic. So unless we have each infraction being 2% or higher of the net worth of the company then this will continue. The net worth fee is honestly just an example. There could be other punishments, but money is what works the best unfortunately. All platforms have problems with horrific content, data harvesting, and bringing out the worst in people. Some are better managed than others. However, we need extensive regulation overall to make a genuine difference. If we just ban one platform then people will just move from TikTok to another one to spread their terrible trash.
@@OliveDasi to be honest barely anybody uses Twitter. Apps like instagram, Facebook are easy to avoid if you can control your addictions. But an app like tiktok is massively taking over peoples mind since it’s very hypnotizing. People’s personalities is based off tiktok, their political opinions/beliefs based off tiktok. “Woke” culture brainwashing the youth. And the fact it’s easy for young kids to be on this app. Not to mention it ruined an entire generation for teenagers that entered the early 2020’s. I really do hope next year in 2024 the mid 2020’s can be somewhat better. Because the early 2020’s was literally the trashiest decade to be in. No fun, no good music. Not to mention that app makes people antisocial. Way worse then u think. UA-cam shouldn’t be to blame when, nor Instagram. It’s tiktok that’s has everyone’s eyes glued to their screens.
I remember that one time, back in musical ly, I met a pedophile who posed as a “blue poo plushy.” I was 8 or 7 at the time and uhm… I still remember what that plushy looked like to this day. I hope he doesn’t come back. I am very glad someone made a video like this. Edit: just wanted to point this out, this stuff happened to many different children. Those who aren’t even watching the video but just looking at the comments, please take this into consideration that many children have been targeted. oh my goodness there are a lot of creeps but I didn’t know there were that many.

To this, a random chick drops in the middle of the conversation and says something like “I would rather f*ck him (the bully) than you”
And the kid replied “I wouldn’t f*ck your disgusting ass for free. No, it would be a cold day in hell”
Absolute madlad.
What’s even worse is more online predators were caught on Tik Tok
The way that’s not even what killing stalking was….
very nicely narrated and edited video, your content is a snack, and much like how you described the development of the app, your content is very easily consumable. very smooth and easy to pay attention to. you have a great voice. smooth work my dude, props to you.
THanks so much bro, truly appreciate it ❤️
I love how this vid had u some Viewers discretion's advised warnings but also two unskipable ads at the same time lol first time seeing it.
Thanks for letting me know that you had ads on it by the way, I wasn't 100% sure up until now haha

Nah, UA-cam just doesn't trust viewers with their own feelings ... but it's too late for me to stop watching it now, because I'm one of those people who gets very agitated if I don't have access to the internet
@@carlycarmine3858 good point
getting messages like this was known as normal growing up, and we just ignored them, because of dumb riddles and stuff saying if you didn’t send it to someone else you’d die, we stayed away from those messages, these new kids seem to think it was that easy to message an influencer, i think this has a lot to do with parenting.
@@sophmari27 absolutely not. The parents should have done more
@@miufke_ but not every parent will.
Musicly was warning us for what was to come with tik tok...
I used musically so much in elementary school, I specifically remember my friends pressuring me to be obsessed with jacob sautorious (however you spell his name) for some reason?
Manifesting 100k🎉 I find it crazy that you aren't there yet! Your video quality is on par with, if not better than a lot of bigger youtube channels I watch! Enjoyed the video, much love!

The don't judge me challenge just made me judge their own personality lol
When it got that suicide hotline in the description and it says you viewer discretion advised you know it’s abt to get crazy😂
i remember the cross over nobody wanted to update the app but when we did we saw the app logo change
i remember multiple older men would send me pictures and leave comments and when thinking back on it it was so under regulated and awful that children were on the app.
What annoys me the most when it comes to assault cases on kids and people is when it is shared online. ALWAYS someone will blame the victim
I only remember about MusicalLy was that meme "I wana be Tracer"..... and that was 7 years ago holy shit..
i think the most surprising part of this video is the fact that you’re so UNDERRATED 😭‼️
that foxakimbo recreation of the dont judge me challenge killed me i wasnt expecting that lol
@12:39 Musically's codebase still sits on your phone. Of course it's now the backend for Tiktok which is probably adressed in the remaining 6 minutes of this video.
I was like 11 and followed 3000 people and they all just followed me back it was a weird time 😂
Just wanted to drop this comment real quick. The first few seconds!!!! I legit actually, legitimately 100% absolutely fkk hated that “move the camera up down left right” thing, and I can’t believe I have to relive it again😩☠️ like that was the thorn in my eye for years
I feel like Tik Tok has the same exact issues
The fact UA-cam gave me a warning says a lot
Fire youtuber + content warning = messed up yet interesting video ahead
oh i just know this is gonna be good after seeing it open with Gabbie Hanna!!!!! omg
That secret ending was SO EPIC! The most cinematic thing ever!
The fact that my sister used musicly when she was deadass 6 and my parents didn't know enough then so they allowed it...crazy what kind of people wherre out there geez
The fact there's both a content warning and suicide prevention hotline on this video me and it's gonna be scrumptious
i remember using musically religiously back then 💀
Same, used to pretend that I was melanie martinez 😟💀
this issue is definitely worse now. this is the reason i hate tik tok. the users get younger and younger. the dances get more vulgar. i get there are videos with good information, interesting videos, not vulgar videos, but look at the difference it is not hard to tell what is going on at this point. they are worrying more about money than the youth
A scandal plagued platform, violated privacy laws exposed children to predators-
Sounds like tik tok
NOT THE WARNINGS AND THE SUICIDE HOTLINE NUMBER
UA-cam asked if I wanted to watch, then proceeded to give me a number to therapy🤦♀️💀
I got a warning for this 2 times you know it’s going to be good
For those with Pimples I wish I knew about Dr. Bronners Hemp Castile Soap the Peppermint works great for Acne
the killing stalking tag is probably ( most likely ) related to the webcomic of the same name. it is a psychological thriller that shows stuff like kidnapping, torture, stuff like that
A piece of history?? It’s literally just TikTok. Same owners new name . Nothing has changed
oh my god…. iv remembered a horrifying memory from all this. i used mysically when i was about 9-12 years old, and i remember getting followed by a fake jojo siwa account just like the one u mentioned. i freaked out thinking that it was really her and i followed her back, i think within hours/ a day, i realized the account had been deleted, still so scary…
YO THE OLD THUMBNAIL IS GONE 😭
What a shame. The title probably changed too, but I don't remember what it was before.
What was the old thumbnail? 😳
@@bubblesthetalkingdog6590 I genuinely cannot remember.
I'm all for shutting down to TikTok, for more than one reason.
Missed out on ending the video with "And that was the day that the music died" lol
damn it won't let me watch this video like it just doesnt load
You know the video is gonna be a banger if YT warms you
I remember that one time, back in musical ly,
I met a pedophile who posed as a “blue poo plushy.”
I was 8 or 7 at the time and uhm…
I still remember what that plushy looked like to this day.
He’s done nsfw roleplays and talked in an nsfw way with me. I never knew what a pedo was after a year or so..
Years after, I disappeared and so did he.
I’m back to TikTok but he isn’t.
😝
I'm so sorry you had something like that happen to you :/
I honestly remember musically back in middle school throughout and the seven to 6th grade honestly it feels really terrifying and creepy to think about still about all of these incidents.
Legit saw the Eyeless Jack cosplay and got so curious on this.
And damn.... this was interesting as FUCK
The story repeats itself, huh?
I was never a fan of this app. I'm also not a fan of TikTok. I just don't see the appeal, I think I'm too old

The fact that people think that killing stalking is a boys love Korean comic?? Wtf? No. It’s a psychological horror story. And it’s still a psychological horror, just bc plp are romanticising it, does not make it any less of what it is and more boy love. It’s disgusting that plp are romanticising mental disorders/ issues, abuse, assault and murder etc.

i remember watching musically turn into tiktok. i was an average user of musically, and every musically user was so mad that it turned into tiktok at first, but now im glad it did because musically was baddd 😂
The don’t judge me challenge literally made me so sad about how I looked when I was younger it was sad bc I was to young for the app anyway and the I saw this and thought damn I’m ugly
I actually remember this app, I only remembered the name until this video
The "Don't Judge Me Challenge" was literary grooming us for the Woke cringe that we have had to endure.
How that trend was Woke?
Something tells me you don’t know what “woke” means. Don’t use words you don’t know the definition of, k?
You sure like using words don't ya
im not surprised you call anything you dont like "woke", you watch videos from self proclaimed "alpha males" and you're misogynistic.
I never used musically when it was around. I just remember being constantly bothered by the adds for it. Now tiktok just does the same thing, I don't use that site either.
I remember hearing about musicly but never made a profile nor cared to download the app. Didn't know the site was shut down until I heard about tiktok being a thing back in 2020.
You know the video fire when UA-cam warns you and there is a suicide hotline
when the video has a suicide prevention hotline option and you cant actually view the video, it says for itsself
UA-cam warned me 7 times before watching this video acting like I didn't grow up with live leak 😂
Anytime i see an article about Killing Stalking on TikTok, i always wonder how they dont realize its a Korean webcomic. Its fucked up for sure, but how do they not use google, like, once? Its a horror story with a ravonus fanbase, some of which are bound to cosplay. If i cosplayed Yuri from DDLC, i wouldn't want to be immidatley grouped with people who romanticize SH. I dono. Maybe I'm being picky.
