You can get an accurate sticky harp from 1 star on Ikigai Springs
Dang, I should have known that! Thank you!
I don’t see the point in putters.
Surely there is a benefit instead of just using a midrange…. AWB Fuse (for me)
Right??
There may be a very slight advantage in putting with a putter, I think the energy is less and therefore less likely to have a spit out. That said, if those bag slots were unrestricted, I would not bag any putters.
@@discgolfvalleytipsbyalf I don’t bag them even though they are restricted (which should definitely change) just because I have To scroll over to the fuse everytine haha.
I bag an accurate heavy Hope for my main putter. It's laser straight point and shoot. Top of the first stomping arc for throw ins is 50', bottom of it is 80', aim with middle arrow and the top of the 2nd arc throws in anything from 100'-130', adjust slightly less power for 90', slightly more for up to 150', full power is almost exactly 200'. Then I've got an AG that goes 230, but still laser straight. I don't bump up to the Fuse unless it's over 230'.
Could we get an update on this video please? A lot of new stuff has come out and would like to see your take on it
Ok, I will work on that, In general, though:
Sapphire has replaced the Musket for many
Various distance drivers have sometimes replaced Rives, and which new ones are in use is pretty much a matter of personal preference (they’re all pretty comparable)
With the 2 extra slots, many now fill one of those with a flippy distance driver (more Turn) for a straighter shot to compliment the overstable glide skip driver. The other slot is usually filled with a Waterskip bomber.
For what it’s worth, I still bag mostly Rives, added the GS Captain
My bag:
Putters: A/H Hope, A/G Hope
Mids: A/G Fuse, A/WB Emac Truth
Fairways: A/WS River, A/WS Lots, A/G Musket, A/G Grace
Distance: G/BS Havoc, T/WS Ballista Pro, EG/BS EG/L & EG/R Rives.
Nice bag! There have been so many new discs introduced since I made that video, but I still bag the “Big 3” and a few others from that video.
@@discgolfvalleytipsbyalf yeah, most of these have been in the bag for a long while, or the basic disc, maybe with other attributes, but I'm used to all the distances. I did have a recoil, but the water skip ballista just kicked it out, and the Lots bumped out... I don't remember, something I obviously didn't use much. Other than that, I've probably used this essentially same bag for at least a year.
My bag:
AG mercy- putt and throw in used to use the dagger but mercy is very straight and predictable.
AS Harp
AG warship
AW fuse
AG explorer
AG PD probably my favorite disc
Glide ballista pro had it forever and so comfortable with it hard to replace
TG rive
Big 3 rives
Nice
I have 2 acc sticky harp
Great disc
I use the G/WB Ballista instead of a Recoil. I use it on so many holes that it was rough for me to get rid of it for a week. I had to put it back.
Ok
Here is my bag
Glide Roll Rive
Glide Skip Rive
Light Glide Rive
Turn Skip BP
Accurate Glide Musket
Acc Roll Musket
Acc Windbreak Explorer
Acc Wind Fuse
Acc Glide Fuse
Acc Glide Pure (My main throwin and putting disc)
Acc Sticky Pure
What do you think?
A great bag! I would miss the Sapphire and the Recoil, but a lot just depends on what you get used to and become very familiar with.
@@discgolfvalleytipsbyalf I just started with the musket and I know what it does so I prefer it. I have tried the Sapphire but like the musket more for certain ace runs and upshots.
The AW Musket is never leaving my bag
@@discgolfvalleytipsbyalf Ok cool it was in my bag until a few months ago ill look into putting it back in.
Savior is classified a midrange now, it was putter for a few days.
I really wish they would just remove the restrictions from those 4 slots, that would be awesome.
@@discgolfvalleytipsbyalfwhat would be better is to have all of the 4 speeds being putters (the reason it's not like this is silly).
If you had the Savior in the putter pouch before the change, it can still be there (unless you remove it of course).
I have a cloud breaker, either one, in every bag. Grace, sapphire, river in every bag. Fuse, hope in every bag except one. That bag has a rainmaker putter. Also, my starter bag is my best bag being it has all open slots.
Yeah, since I made this video a lot of discs have been introduced that give players way more options
Do you see any use for the bergs?
Well, despite the 1 speed rating, it is the furthest flying putter in the game, so any “putters only” thing where you can choose your own putters. Otherwise, not really.
Im with you on the G/S Recoil. In fact on the current 20+ DC, i use for all three OW holes.
This disc is phreakin' great.
Preach about it Brother Alf!!!
I aced CC4 (praying hands) twice in MP rounds yesterday with it.
