you can neither be proud nor ashamed of something you aren't responsible for (that includes your physical build/body, hair or eye color, genetics, family...or of others).
@@genkiferal7178 - Indeed, and also pride & shame can imply a certain competition/ rivalry between individuals/ groups. I'd say we can replace them with simpler feelings, as joy & sadness --> "I'm so glad that someone of my generation..." and that I am able to enjoy
The man who inspired me to (try to) learn how to play the piano. Moved me to tears and gives me happiness with nothing but music. Thank you for continuing to let me hear your journey.
I first discovered the unique movie, that came together with the unique music, and I got very curious about this music and it's author and other pieces he wrote. This wonderful film is what it is partly from this music, and without it, wouldn't be the same. Au contraire, the music has a life on it's own and can make us feel and imagine a multitude of feelings or (bits of) films, because musical sounds (and voices) are so powerful for us. Still, for me, this association is a very happy one. Also, a few pieces are titled from the name of the protagonist. "... Amelie..." 🎵🎥🧖🎹 🎶 is a beautiful part of my life
I remember when I was 13 years old there was a girl named sally in my school who played piano, she was beautiful I looked up to her, I remember I wanted to impress her. I searched on UA-cam piano and after a while I found yann tiersen. When I heard his music it was the first time I ever felt something, I felt connected to the art, all I could do was feel emotion, emotions that I never felt before, it was incredible. Its something I find difficult to describe. But I know others feel it too. It's truly beautiful. It's something I'm really grateful for. I'm now 23 and I still listen to him play and I still feel those emotions of connectedness. Thank you yann for sharing something so great so beautiful. You are a treasure to this world and I hope that everyone discovers you, like I did.
Thank you for this wonderful film - How great; the studio, and process of creating genuine art. I once saw Yann practicing just before a show, just sitting and playing on the street in Pontiac, Michigan. What a difference in scenery - from here to there! Merci!
You dont know how much feelings people can feel at the same time listening to your songs. Just Thank you. Im not lying when I say you changed my life. Greetings from Argentina.
I love you Yann & all your team work . I remember that I discovered you when I was 22 years old on UA-cam & your Art dominated my feeling since that time till my right moment , now I’m 33 years old & I loved that I grow up with you , my warm love from Saudi Arabia .
I feel so sad that the songs used in the movie Amelie feel so out of context to Yan, I play a few of those songs and every time someone says 'oh that's Amelie' I say "it's Yan Tiersen", because that IS the source... And I can only imagine how it might feel. Not all of us relate those songs to the movie, myself included. And Yan, your music was one of my main inspirations to learn to play piano and write my own songs, and music is the love of my life, so I thank you for your influence always.
I think for Yann 'Amelie' was a curse and a blessing at the same time. He made so much better music than Amelie yet that's the one which made him famous. It's like all his work is reduced to Amelie only but in reality it's not. Don't forget he did not compose the soundtrack for that film, the original album is called 'La valse des monstres', Jean Pierre Jeunet (the director) heard it somewhere and really have liked it. Please, do listen to Yann's previous work, he is much more than Amelie. All the best and enjoy :)
Thank you for sharing with us the process and this new vision of all these songs. It reminds me that the past is living only now in the present with us and that we can reinterpret it every moment we live. Thank you :)
You are amazing and a big inspiration for me 🙃 the first song I learner was yours and everything you release touches me thank you for sharing woth the world💛
You should visit the house of Deadmau5 it might give you some good impressions for your studio. His house is amazin and full of synthz and crazy hardware to make music and yeah his studio is awesome.
C'est si particulier votre relation avec votre femme, ce see you et votre réponse okeay, vous semblaient si sensible toi surtout Yann... Tu es vraiment sur Instagram ? Quel est ton nom et ta photo de profil ? Fabienne Le Bouil
Yann Tiersen is a man that gives meaning to this world. he is a man who makes you rethink that humans are not really the worst creatures ever made.
Proud to say this artist is from our generation, when it's very hard to find true art these days.
Well said my friend!

When art is created, the author loses control over it. It acquires different meanings for different people. His complaint is meaningless. Let it flow.
He's not afraid of being so original
4:55 I agree. Sometimes I wondered why you didn't play some of those songs live. Now I know why.
Love this artist such a talented guy. I’m learning to play the piano at the moment and his music inspires me so much! ❤️
