I usually do it once a week. I have 4 grandchildren and 3 are boys. I will definitely try the arm and hammer on it next.

Yes I sort out my clothes by color. Wash towels separately. And I did not wash my clothes with my children. Well they grown now.

I sort clothes similar to the way you do. My mom did it that way.

I sort my clothes dark separate white and towels and wash cloths together

Hey Tam - I don't think you're extra at all with your laundry..
I wash the same way minus the kids clothes (mine are grown now..lol)..I separate the clothes into a darks/ colors/whites, towels, sheets/blankets, bath rugs, microfiber cloths/kitchen towels/drying mats, etc.... If there are coats - they are a separate load as well...In the winter, I separate out the hoodies/joggers/jeans into their own loads on top of everything else...
Thanks for the motivation...I need to clean a little before the holiday..

I sort all of my clothing. My towels are never washed with clothing, it will ruin my fabrics. I am old school, I cringe when I watch videos. They throw everything together.
