This song is a reflection of her perseverance and of overcoming adversity. Although she was blind, she had a dream to become a music teacher, although many were skeptical that it was possible. But she did indeed earn a college degree in music education. And then bucked the odds and went on to become a successful Christian singer/songwriter; she has recorded 16 albums to date. She is truly an inspiration. Thank you, Ginny, and thank You God for sending her to us.
They interviewed her earlier this year. She was born with poor eyesight and started losing sight of color. At the age of 3 she had surgery. The surgery didn't work and instead she lost all eyesight. Her Mom always kept telling her she can do anything. Mom was right.
This song had such a huge impact on my childhood. My 13th birthday I got to see her in concert and have a meet and greet. She is the most beautiful sweetest kindest soul. She has inspired me to be the woman I am today ❤

I went through some really difficult health issues last year, including a seizure in May, but I never lost faith. In fact, I have a closer relationship with Jesus now because of those issues. Thank You, Lord! I’m now completely healed from seizures for almost two years, my left side is back to full strength and coordination other than mild weakness and tremors in my left hand, and I’m faithfully serving the Lord and others with prayer. I’m so thankful!!
My mom left us a year ago due to cancer. This was her favorite song and she listened to it on repeat when we would take her to chemo. I hope one day to be able to listen to it again without tears in my eyes.
I remember back in 2004 when my whole world fell completely apart this song was the only thing that got me thru the nights now in 2018 I’m in desperate need once again , and Jesus has come to rescue me once again

I prayed and prayed to get pregnant.. That same month I was able to conceive. I would pray eachnight before going to bed. Sadly I just found out that my baby stopped growing and I had no other choice but miscarry with medicines. Im going through it at the moment, feeling heartbroken I asked God why.. why when it seemed he finally listened to my prayers he would do such a thing to me. Guess what, I still dont have the answers (if someone has them please answer below), I just came across this beautiful song and In my heart i feel some comfort. Thank you.
I have two small kids and every day I pray that they would know Jesus but I cannot make that happen. The thing I want more than anything for them is to spend eternity with the Lord. Take great joy in knowing that your baby is with the Lord! God may be calling you to spend time with kids who need someone to care or love them. Through Royal Family Kids you can be a camp counselor for kids who are orphans. Also, I recommend watching the movie Lion.

My husband walked out on myself and our five kids last year...I need a reason to live. I don't see a future for us, I don't see why God never answered my fasting and prayer for 20 years of marriage. I have seen the Lord do way to many miracles over the years to deny His existence...from two people being raised from the dead when we prayed, to cars being given when we were without....but I just don't understand why a hard heart the answer is no. So here we are hanging on to the Lord. It is easy to believe when you have just one word from God, but walking through when He is silent is the worst. Clinging to the promises that we can supposedly claim from scripture...even though they were for the Israelites, we supposedly can go to the Lord with those promises because we have been grafted in, then we wait patiently and expectant because His promises are true. I'm so hurt, His existence is beyond real, why we go through this stuff silently I will never understand.

The Lord will often take people out of our lives before they cause us more harm. While it can hurt, He is the Great Redeemer and will turn everything around for good for those who love Him. Through our pain, He also often calls us to life-giving ministry. He may want you to join or start a small group for other women who have lost husbands. Or maybe there is something else He has laid on your heart that He would like you to do. Through my own valley, the Lord showed me the great joy of a life in service to Him helping to care for His people. I have never experienced anything better than the joy of being His hands and feet in this world.

My heart is broken for the lost in these perilous times, and though I have been warning people (even those I fellowship with in Church) some are acting as if I'm a false prophet or made things up on my own when all I say is in the Word. It is beyond words and leaves me speechless the level of love God has for me and what he went through to be there for me even in the most darkest of times, when I feel alone and abandoned by everyone. God is there only a prayer away.
Our musicians performed this at church after Harvey came through, and many in our congregation were affected by the storms. There was not a dry eye in the room when this was performed. Ginny needs to know that her song has deeply affected so many people, many who really needed to hear these words, in a very profound way.

I remember listening to this song when I was young because my sister listened to this song a lot. Now at 21, I hadn't heard this song for a while and one of my good friends let me listen to this song and I started bawling my eyes out. I had no idea why God allowed me to have a stroke at 15 or why my life didn't turn out the way I planned, but I believe He put me in this place in my life for a reason and it's the best gift I could possibly ask for because it is from Him.
I sang this as a solo about 10 or so years ago. I haven't thought about it in a long time but God asked me to do something hard today and this was the first thing that came to mind.

My daughter listened to this song frequently during her battle with cancer. I think it comforted her during some of the rough days.

Came here because of the book I'm currently reading: When a good God allows rape by Joy Tan Chi Mendoza. Already @104th page and I think the author helps me understand the deep meaning of what I wanted to learn. But thanks to this song, it is one of the great work of art--w/ a very selfless love.
@scenelover45 -- I am glad you liked the video and song. Going through those very deep valleys are extremely challenging- but in the end you learn a lot more about God and yourself by going through them than if you hadn't.
