As a college student, I will say that when I first began, I was nervous and it wasn't easy but I am going through it rather easy now. I am so used to the classes and the assignments I have to do. Study really hard and you'll do great! So beyond proud of you Andrew and you'll do great in college! ❤
As chaotic as this is, it's very real and the humor still comes through despite the stress. You'll do great and it'll go by super fast! In a couple of years you'll look back on move-in day and it'll feel like it was decades ago.

I know that probably sounds impossible, but as someone who went to college for 10 years, trust me. College became a whole lot less stressful once I stopped caring (as much). What I mean is, I still wanted good grades, but I stopped setting unobtainable limits. Once you relieve yourself of the lofty expectations, everything falls into place. Best of luck!
Andrew, Real Talk: Don't be afraid to make your priorities your priorities. What is your priority right now? School. Would we love to see videos on your regular schedule? Yes. Will we be angry with you if you cannot stick to that schedule, need to change the schedule, or have no schedule at all? Absolutely not. We know you are trying to juggle a lot of important details and new experiences right now. If you need someone to give you permission, here are some: Your videos don't need to be long. You don't have to make a bunch of edits or complicated edits. Maybe you create an approach which you introduce on your channel called the "college edit" which is less complicated and less time-consuming than your regular approach. We know you have high standards, but just don't feel like there is pressure. We would love to see little snips of what your campus looks like, what you're learning, your group of pals (when they feel comfortable), activities, etc. But, they don't need to be long and complicated. Just share what and when and if you feel comfortable - especially while you are getting used to things. Side notes: You can tell a lot about your new friend by his smile and the few seconds on camera. He seems warm, open, fun, and kind. Good choice in friend by you, and he has good taste in friends for connecting with you. Also, I used to be in charge of residence halls / dorms on a few campuses, and it is wonderful to see your close Carolina family members helping you move in. Very sweet. I just graduated from college in May, and let me say that college was one of the best times of my life!! I met my best friend there and there are so many fun things to do at college!! Yes, it is definitely a lot of work at some times, but you’ll find the perfect balance soon and also do NOT let all of the schoolwork, projects, papers, etc take away from the great times that I know you’ll have!! Believe me when they say that college time flies by because it really does!! Have fun Andrew and I know you’ll do great!! Also, beware of the #Freshman15 😂😂

I’m more than excited for the next vlog makes me want to go to college too feels like I’m missing out but also I don’t wanna be in debt so I’m good with community college right now 😂 I took a gap year too I’m finally going back this year
college is what becomes your new context for content creation, which means in a sense it’s your new life! Don’t be discouraged, it is SO possible to do schoolwork and all the things and still create content. But don’t be afraid of how that may shift a little bit! Sometimes the shift produces something even more beautiful and meaningful and satisfying than what was there before, even if it doesn’t look quite like what you thought it would. My tip would be to ask diligent content creators in your life to help hold you accountable. You may have to reserve Thursday afternoons for content days and Sunday evenings for editing and have something like that (whatever days make more sense) be your steady thing, and maybe you can ask Aaron or Nour or Roni or Alex or even Alexxis to check in with you those days to make sure you actually set aside the time. But regardless one thing I know is that college will grow you in ways that are SO worth the schedule crams. Don’t forget that there are breaks! You can always do a semester recap while you’re on break if you feel like you missed some good content moments. Or switch the schedule to a tad more spread out. Grades are important so try not to fail lol (you’re p smart so as long as you put the work in im sure you’ll be ok, don’t skip class unless you know you’ll review the content on your own time) but if grades are not your focus then okay cool. Take these first weeks to observe and realistically evaluate the impact of college on your schedule and see what you’ve got to work with. K last two things: just because your priorities are unconventional doesn’t mean that’s a bad thing, and just because your priority isn’t college doesn’t mean you shouldn’t invest yourself in it. Join a club or group that isn’t too time consuming! Go to the occasional sports game or game night or dance showcase and explore other things you like! Yes content creation is your life, but you can enjoy other things too if you want to explore a little. College is the best place for that! Make friends and hang out with them outside of the vlog life. It’s okay to do that and to choose that sometimes! And if you legitimately just don’t want to, not out of fear/insecurity but bc you’re just not interested, then scratch that lol don’t go to something you have no interest in doing. I guess what I’m saying is don’t let anyone make you feel bad for not caring as much about college as you do content creation … but also don’t let content-loving make you feel like you have to hold yourself back from discovering new joys in college along the way! It’s a delicate balance but from your videos it seems like you have an eye for that kind of intricacy. You got this bro❤️ And we as your viewers just want you to know that we’re not expecting perfection, just so you don’t feel pressured by us to push out videos when you have other assignments and things, with the hopes that us giving you permission to change things up will help you not feel as stressed/bothered with yourself for the way things are changing rn. Not sure if that made much sense … but anyway Godspeed my friend. Orientation and add drop weeks tend to be pretty schedule heavy so hopefully things chill out soon for you. That’s all!

I just graduated from college in May, and let me say that college was one of the best times of my life!! I met my best friend there and there are so many fun things to do at college!! Yes, it is definitely a lot of work at some times, but you’ll find the perfect balance soon and also do NOT let all of the schoolwork, projects, papers, etc take away from the great times that I know you’ll have!! Believe me when they say that college time flies by because it really does!! Have fun Andrew and I know you’ll do great!!

but content creation is my LIFE. college is supposed to be just a side quest :,)
college is what becomes your new context for content creation, which means in a sense it’s your new life! Don’t be discouraged, it is SO possible to do schoolwork and all the things and still create content. But don’t be afraid of how that may shift a little bit! Sometimes the shift produces something even more beautiful and meaningful and satisfying than what was there before, even if it doesn’t look quite like what you thought it would.
My tip would be to ask diligent content creators in your life to help hold you accountable. You may have to reserve Thursday afternoons for content days and Sunday evenings for editing and have something like that (whatever days make more sense) be your steady thing, and maybe you can ask Aaron or Nour or Roni or Alex or even Alexxis to check in with you those days to make sure you actually set aside the time. But regardless one thing I know is that college will grow you in ways that are SO worth the schedule crams. Don’t forget that there are breaks! You can always do a semester recap while you’re on break if you feel like you missed some good content moments. Or switch the schedule to a tad more spread out. Grades are important so try not to fail lol (you’re p smart so as long as you put the work in im sure you’ll be ok, don’t skip class unless you know you’ll review the content on your own time) but if grades are not your focus then okay cool. Take these first weeks to observe and realistically evaluate the impact of college on your schedule and see what you’ve got to work with.
K last two things: just because your priorities are unconventional doesn’t mean that’s a bad thing, and just because your priority isn’t college doesn’t mean you shouldn’t invest yourself in it. Join a club or group that isn’t too time consuming! Go to the occasional sports game or game night or dance showcase and explore other things you like! Yes content creation is your life, but you can enjoy other things too if you want to explore a little. College is the best place for that! Make friends and hang out with them outside of the vlog life. It’s okay to do that and to choose that sometimes! And if you legitimately just don’t want to, not out of fear/insecurity but bc you’re just not interested, then scratch that lol don’t go to something you have no interest in doing.
I guess what I’m saying is don’t let anyone make you feel bad for not caring as much about college as you do content creation … but also don’t let content-loving make you feel like you have to hold yourself back from discovering new joys in college along the way! It’s a delicate balance but from your videos it seems like you have an eye for that kind of intricacy. You got this bro❤️ And we as your viewers just want you to know that we’re not expecting perfection, just so you don’t feel pressured by us to push out videos when you have other assignments and things, with the hopes that us giving you permission to change things up will help you not feel as stressed/bothered with yourself for the way things are changing rn. Not sure if that made much sense … but anyway Godspeed my friend. Orientation and add drop weeks tend to be pretty schedule heavy so hopefully things chill out soon for you. That’s all!
