Last month, a website called Los Angeles Archive claimed to sell unreleased Yeezy Gap products. Initially, people were satisfied until they received the popular Yeezy Gap Balenciaga Dove hoodie, which differed significantly from the original.
Speculations suggest the site is linked to Los Angeles Apparel or even Ye himself. The Yeezy Gap collaboration ended two years ago, and leftover products have been sold at discounts since then.
A Reddit user noted differences in color, print, and size between the new and old Dove hoodies, raising suspicions of fake products. Los Angeles Archive responded through an Instagram story but gave no clear answers.
The new hoodie’s packaging was brand new and shed excessive fluff, with a noticeably different fit. While some believe it’s fake, others think it was newly manufactured post-collaboration.
Other products from the site, like tees, cargos, and zip hoodies, were satisfactory, but sweatpants were inconsistent. Despite good quality, the lack of transparency about the Dove hoodie has caused confusion.
Customers deserve clarity, and hopefully, Los Angeles Archive will address these concerns. If I get a response, I'll update you. Let me know if you’ve bought from them or were considering it.

They had a collab with highsnobiety called blank staples in like 2022 I believe. Very heavy 400 gsm French terry unisex zip ups. Arms are big asf but it got such an amazing crop. I own a few colors of them I bought on sale for like $25 each, retail was like $60 each and even at that it was a steal

maybe they didn't have old product? maybe it was a old idea with old inventory sitting around so they repackaged it? maybe its called bad business practices???? Exactly why people get scammed everything.

This situation is frustrating because it's a clear case of people not understanding how clothing production works and having short memories.
I own a Washed Black Dove hoodie from the first release, which is the highest quality hoodie I have. I also have Dove hoodies from later releases, including exclusive colors like White and Tan. While these later releases use premium materials, they don't match the quality of the original. In today's climate, many would wrongly call my original hoodie fake.
I believe these hoodies were 100% legitimate and intended for release by Gap, but were held back. The quality of YGEBB pieces declined with each drop as Gap prioritized higher margins.
It's unreasonable to blame LAA for what is essentially Gap's decision. People are reacting without understanding the situation, and it wouldn't be surprising if LAA either stops dropping YGEBB pieces or increases their prices.

The issue isn’t that it’s a different batch from release, the issue is that they lied and marketed the hoodies as being the original 2022 release. I’m sure if they released them for the same price, but stated they were a different production model, there would be no issue.

If people actually understood that not even Gap released that first batch again, this whole situation doesn't happen.
People walked into this thinking they were going to a 1:1 of the very first run. Anybody with any knowledge of release times of this collection or how clothing manufacturing works wouldn't expect this.

I understand what you are saying don't get me wrong BUT LAA messed up by not being truthful here and should have informed their audience that this batch of hoodies is different to the 2022 version
the thing is these hoodies were described as perfect og made in usa hoodies (xs sizes don’t get a yzy tag) and provided with a size chart that is inaccurate
I think the new dove hoodie was just a production run that hadn't been released yet. After that first initial release and that's why nobody had this version yet. Tthey probably changed the production after the first release which are these hoodies now.
yup, the "blurry" back print is exactly the same as the print on the dove merch that was available for purchase at the Donda 2 Listening Party which leads me to believe these were probably meant to be sold there but weren't for some reason
@@thatcattieroguyit’s impossible for that to be the case when the tags for this new dove hoodie have the same production date as other hoodies from the initial drop.
@ItDitry it would be incredibly strange for them to specifically copy the print of the donda 2 lp batch of clothes instead of the og drop if they were made recent tho. either way they still scammed the fans by claiming it was og drop when it wasnt but this is such a weird detail if they were to be reproduction

@@ItDitry yes that's what i was going to say and there isn't any specific production date on the clothing. So, it's kind of hard to tell if it's been made recently beside the extra fabric that fell out the bag and could be dyed differently main reason its lighter.
For me personally, I was never able to get the OG hoodie and from what I’ve seen this “newer” one doesn’t look even bad. I think the main issue is definitely the fact that they promoted the og 2022 hoodie. If they just said it’s gonna be let’s say an updated Dove hoodie that never released I don’t think we would’ve seen such an uproar and disappointment. I’m hyped either way but it’s unfortunate companies can’t be transparent
I’d be okay with it if it wasn’t worse (IMO) I own 2 real dove hoodies and I love that the gap logos are barely visible.. kind of an iykyk situation. Other than that, I agree, if they disclosed the differences in the site, it’d be cool
As someone who had the OG then later sold it for double the retail price and copping this for $70 it’s definitely a deal and the hoodie overall doesn’t even look that bad and I’d be rocking mine definitely when it comes next week
So, I check the official LA Apparel depop all the time, and they have sold some damaged yeezy gap items recently. So they definitely have some product sitting around somewhere. Just yesterday they posted a few season 5 hospital blue sweatpants and they post other season stuff consistently. So they definitely have yeezy stuff in their warehouse.

On the tweet he says “measurements are damn near exact to the OG drop”…Only difference I see is the older one is washed out. That could easily just be from being worn and washed many times whereas the new one hasn’t been.
I would love to see the 2.0 hoodie after you wash it as much as you did the older one.
it could also be they are just selling the B grades from the production, the colour differences and the little fabirc pices are characteristics of B stock
Hopefully people see this comment and cancel their order before it ships. Having an OG hoodie, there is no comparison on how trash the quality of these new hoodies are. The cotton feels like sandpaper, the comfy liner inside the OG isn’t there, and the dove is way off color. There’s also no barcode tag inside the hoodie which kind of confirms that these were manufactured post collab

So ive been seeing speculations that Ye has personally partnered with LAA, they not only made the yeezy gap, they manufactured all the donda/yeezy standalone merch as well. Same address and factory. If that is the case, then how could the hoodie be fake? I wouldnt be surprised if he released all this yeezy gap stuff himself this way so that US consumers cud buy it without it being directly tied to him, since we didnt get the yeezy gap stuff on his regular website release for $20 like you guys did in Europe.
Ye has been partnered with and friends(unsure relationship atm - appears may be rocky) with Dov for many, many years. Yeezy employee running LA Archive - orders sent from the LA Apparel compound.

yeah it's very obvious this isn't fake and the differences are different production lots / factories / QC or whatever. the return address gives it away.

Was at Nishiki Market in Kyoto and I found a store that had a sign advertising "Unreleased Yeezy Gap," but after watching this I'm glad I didn't head in.
I got my YZY Gap hoodie for 25 bucks from a curated thrift store named Uptown Cheapskate a year ago. I get pretty much all my clothes I'm not guaranteed to destroy at work from stores like that. My concept of what these sorts of things should or do cost is so skewed. Just as well, nothing I own is "too nice to wear" for that reason
The dye on the black wide leg pants I bought from them is more faded and has dark spots near pockets compared to the other ones I bought officially. Quality feels the exact same, and def not fake. Think they're just flawed rejects that couldn't be sold officially.
95% of people saying the Dove hoodies are okay are the people who don't have the originals.. because they feel gutted they have something of inferior quality.. pretty much as simple as that. The cuts are completely different, whether or not they are 'legit' they are completely different from the original run and shouldn't be being sold as such.

Well I'm in the 5% because I don't like that hotter material in the OG Cambodian dove. It's also stretchy as well...I like the heavier cotton because it protects from winter.
I bought it and a pair of pants and a week later it shipped. Two days before it arrived i got an email saying the hoodie sold out and was removed from my my order. They ended up accidentally refunding the whole order rather than just the hoodie. I don't think that was intentional but i wasnt mad about it.
I ordered the original "black" dove hoodie back in the day. I have the OG Green, blue and this one. The black is legit one shade darker than the green. Who else has had this issue?
I recently purchased from that site. Ordered the 2020 VISION DOUBLE LAYERED HOODIE in purple and all the colors in GAP X YZY COTTON FLEECE ZIP-UP HOODIE. IMO the zips are cool w the crop. Purple hoodies the best so far.They all look legit to me. I have the original Gap X Yzy original from the gap. They all look legit to me.

It’s just product from another factory.. trust that if these where “fake”, Kanye, and especially gap would have stepped in already. Gap might not want to be involved with Kanye BUT they are not going to play infringement on the gap name.

I’d have to agree with you about the hoodie being newly manufactured. Why would I get an order of 5+ items in the same week I ordered it but when I ordered the hoodies it’s been like 3 weeks. Seems fishy.

I got a pair pods that were definitely not like the originals. Total fakes. Too dark. Thin fabric and it didn’t have the chemicals smell like the original one form YZY website.
They were probably the made in China ones or the unmarked Italian made ones. I got the Chinese ones and those are darker in color than the Italian ones.

Bro the recent unreleased Dove hoodies from the Donda 2 LP are legit, in original packaging and everything. Didnt buy the first run of the Dove hoodies LAA released but this one feels and fits like my OG 2021 GAP one besides the color of the hoodie. Also bought the other LP tees and they are all legit, waiting for my Chicago LP tee and I will let you know since I got one from the LP itself in 2021.
Not trying to be mean or nothing Elliot, but you gotta stop wearing so much baggy clothing. Some of your pieces look very good, but others are just way too exaggerated, and it takes away from your actual body shape. I feel that every item of clothing you buy you go for a more oversize look and that’s good sometimes but not all the times. Try to pair some more fitted pieces with some baggier pieces to complement with each other.
