- Dozens of people attended watch parties across San Francisco Thursday for the debate between California Gov. Newsom and Florida Gov. DeSantis. KTVU attended a couple of watch parties to see the reaction of voters.

I grew up in San Francisco when it was one of the world’s most beautiful cities. It’s absolutely disgusting what liberal politicians and policies have done to this once great city. Moved my family out of that hell hole 10 years ago and haven’t looked back. Great job Gavin!
i grew up in the south bay. SF was the spot to go for certain things when i got my license, about 25 years ago.
today, i live 2,000 miles away. and won't ever go back. california would need to go full on red for at least a decade, and allow constitutional carry, before i even consider stepping foot in it again.

Good thing is, a lot of people still turn to the Dollar because of the safety is somehow assures. I have been here 15 years and to see San Francisco slip into what it is now is unbelievable. We used to drive into SF a few times a year to do things or when friends or family would come to visit. I refuse to go now, because I know my window will be broken into to see what is in my car. I wish California had a governor like DeSantis. And it was not DeSantis that fought Disney, it was Disney fighting Florida. Florida trying to keep child porn out of the schools and Disney trying to keep it in. Which is why I cancelled Disney Plus. And when the kids asked if we could go to Disney Land recently, I said "No". Pick anywhere else. Disney is off limits. Disney is trying to destroy the family, the life blood of what stabilizes a healthy community.

I am 86 yrs. old and was born and raised in California and raised my kids there also. I loved the State when I was a boy and I lived all over Calif. I could not stand it any longer. I had to get out of that HELL-HOLE. I could not take it any longer so I left about 7 years ago. Such a wonderful State has now been completely went to Sh- T since the Demos took over. I voted for President Kennedy when I first was old enough to vote ( 21 ) in those days. Kennedy was a very good President and I still remember his speech about getting rid of the CIA and all of the Secret Societies and they killed him for that. I am glad I am 86 and in decent health, because this ( our United States ) has become nothing but full of war mongers and cheats and is not fit to live in any longer and I believe we have but a short time before the Lord shows up to destroy the world because of the way it is run and how people act. My son and his family moved out of California last year. They were unable to buy a home or even rent one for a decent price. Now, living in the mid west, he has a great job, while his wife stays home caring for the kids and taking courses online for her degree. It's more affordable and safer than California.

I live and love California and have lived here my whole life. I am extremely disappointed in the way Gavin and the rest of the politicians have mismanaged our beautiful state. They really need to be gone and we need to rebuild it to the greatness it once was.

As a California resident, I share my pain, and it's truly heartbreaking to witness how our beloved Los Angeles is sinking daily. The California government's actions are inexcusable, and it's high time they faced the consequences rather than attempting to deceive and manipulate the uninformed population. At the same time, our state continues to deteriorate economically and socially.

This wasn’t a “Red State vs. Blue State” debate. It was supposed to be a debate of the differences between political ideologies and what those results have produced. Both needed to show why their ideologies are good for the people. What I saw was one set of ideologies made his state prosperous and the other made his state unlivable comparably.

Florida was not a great place to live but I came from Nebraska where it’s pretty crime free. I also lived in a not so great part of Tampa. The rest of the city was fine. San Fran is a whole shit. Checkout that video of a guy that leave a box in the back of his car and does glitter bomb pranks. He is in LA all he does is leave his car in a parking lot for a couple hrs and someone breaks in almost every time.
