Thanks for such an awesome tutorial. You just made my life much easier :]
Hi Mario. That's actually not a mixing board, but a control surface. It's the Digidesign (Avid) Icon. It just allows me to control Pro tools without needing a mouse as much. I love mixing with it especially, as it allows me to move more than one control at a time - not something you can do with a mouse. Cheers. Jase
@JackMac1968 click on the rectangular bar under the solo button on the track showing the line......a set of options will appear, then simply select waveform. and that track will show the initial waveform as to how it was recorded.
Jason, you forgot to mention that all tracks must be selected prior to comping in oder to view every playlist on each separate drum track.
u can make takes in any daw ... just record some thing a few times, and slice it up how you like ...
However -
i do own pro tools 8 and nothing beats its final output sound ...
Hey can anyone help me out there? I have pro tools 8 mbox pro. Everytime I bounce my tracks they are fast and the pitch gets faster as well. When I bounce I use WAV files, 44.1 KHz. What can I do???

@AimTVSydney I'm a cubase user but now I want to work with protools...do I need any hardware for protools...or its just like installing any other software ???...
Could you please tell me what brand digital mixer are you using ?

carefull u dont cut off the resonance of a crash by comping up a take that did not hit the same crash!
@SapphireProd Next to the "Solo" button of each Playlist, there is another button with an arrow pointing upwards. This is the "Copy Selection To Main Playlist" button. This button becomes active when you make a selection on the playlist. You use this button to make your selection go to the main playlist, thus compiling your takes.
