Be sure to give Pusic some safe space once he has had enough of Mila's antics. He was being very gentle, but I could tell he was getting a bit agitated towards the end. Ultimately, it's best for his health.
They will be snuggling in no time. ❤❤ While pusic is gently pawing the kitty he is also teaching her boundaries. It's clear he wants to be her friend and all will work out in time. ❤❤

looks funny but be careful! Catpusic scratching his nails in his scratcher is his way of telling you he's getting stressed. For now he can run away to a higher place but soon she'll be able to reach him and he won't have a safe place to stay. I lived this exactly the same setting, an older male cat with an adopted female kitty. Please, please make sure to let them together only when Catpusic feels playful. The moment he's had enough you need to separate them and teach the lil kitty to respect him. Otherwise the constant stress may affect Catpusic's health
I totally agree. This happened to my older cat when we adopted a kitten. His immune system went down, got stressed out and was sick for a while. He eventually warmed up to the kitten and now they're inseparable. We still make sure to give him a safe place whenever he feels like taking a break from the younger cat.
I dont think they should give him playmate now when he used to be the only cat for 9 years. It's quite clear he is not happy and the owner seems more care about kitten than the Pusic. Looks like the owner more care about replacing him with younger kitten than actually giving him a playmate for him to be happy.
Looks like all their attention is to a kitten, and they dont teach her any boundaries at all, to let her run around and do what she wants with Pusic. I think they've done more bad than good for him with bringing this new kitten in. I really feel for Pusic.

@@OXaRYa1807 They (the owners) may not have had a choice. I think the kitten was a rescue cat, not one they actively went out to get/buy. It may well have been either adopt the kitten or else the poor thing doesn't get a home.

Poor Pusic! I remember being followed by my little sister (6 years younger than me), pretending to be a zombie…through our local shopping centre / mall, when I was a young very self conscious teenager, I was mortified. I’m glad to say that now we are both in our sixties we have a better relationship…sort of 🤣🤪🙃. Xxx

@@getbackinyourownlane agree, looks like the owners have arranged the cats gladiator's fights. It's clear that kitten is attacking poor Pusic everywhere. And the owners just watch and their son is smiling at what that kitten does. Really looks cruel but not joyful.

Yep. My older cat, Edward, did that with our younger cat, Raymond when they were first adopted. Edward was 2.5 years old and Raymond was 2.5 months old when we adopted them. They’ve been with us for 4 years now.
@@Ronin.Samurai I have a cat named Baxter his true age is unknown but we are thinking 10 or younger or older. He done that with 2 set litter of kittens they approach him he swat and hiss. Ran away. The first set are indoor with me.
The owner should also teach her boundaries as well and they dont. It's quite clear Pusic is not happy.

У меня такая ситуация была с новым котиком. Тогда я взяла и погладила его на глазах у других котов и кошек и при этом приговаривала: «Хороший мальчик» После этого отношения изменились и все его зауважали! Попробуйте этот прием)

Esse estresse é natural, afinal um já é um gato adulto e o outro tem o vigor de um filhote, e perseguindo Pusic o tempo todo, a reação dele é compreensível.

Fights ought to be stopped, little Mila could get hurt. Obviously, Pusic is annoyed with her for trying to pounce on his tail. If Mila had been introduced to him when he was younger, the two wouldn't have been fighting so much. Be careful the fur doesn't start flying.

Established solo cats (esp. older ones) do not feel lonely in that way - it's a mistake solo-cat owners often make (they get a "companion" for their cat and then wonder why there is fur flying). The result of the forced pairing is often an uneasy truce, with the cats mostly ignoring each other, with an occasional spat when territories/space is breached. At the other end of the scale, the cat/s health may suffer, or one or the other simply leaves home.
